- Superfan Mama Joy Chauke has hit out at Sports Minister Gayton McKenzie, who's threatened to stop all trips for superfans. The Patriotic Alliance leader wrote on social media last week that taxpayers' money should be used wisely. If I recall correctly there was a government fund was created for the benefit of struggling artists, 2 things happened: this money dissapeared and legendary artists and musicians were rejected, a number of them died of poverty during and after covid; I'd like to know in what way these sports superfans were deemed more worthy of government funding than historical artists and musical legends.
