  • How to calibrate #Climatronic system in Volkswagen Golf MK7 (5G) to fix issues with clicking noise under the dashboard, incorrect air temperature or distribution. This service procedure will force air flaps to relearn movement end positions so your #GolfMK7 Climatronic will work flawlessly.
    Press and hold buttons A/C and front vent for few seconds, release when LEDs start to flash, wait about 20 seconds for the procedure to finish. When the flaps adaptation is performed you will hear movement under the dashboard which is absolutely normal. If this tutorial not helped you with your issue, you should use diagnostic tools to check for trouble codes in Climatronic control unit, because most likely you have a broken part which you should service/replace.

    Just make sure ALL airflow consoles are open. I had my driver's side consoles closed and they kept blowing hot air after the reset. It worked fine on the second attempt tho. Touran 2016. Thanks for the video!

    Thank you. Ventilation vents in the middle section above radio didn't blow any air. After calibration it started blowing. Thanks man. It worked

    Hey, i have a problem. Even though the heat controls are off warm air still comes out of my vents when i drive. When i turn it on and lower the temperature and turn it of again colder air starts to come out but everything is off. Do you think that this calibration will fix this problem?

    Wow, that’s a very interesting fix! From an engineering perspective, I wonder why calibration is needed at all. Aren’t all the VW flaps for this model (mk7 Golf) the same size…? It’s not like some are a few mm longer or shorter than the others. What a bizarre way for VW to implement a HVAC control system.

    Nice video! I have a Seat Leon 5F and my problem is that I notice that the airflow from the rear ventilation is really low compared to all other vents. Therefore, my rear windows also tend to fog up during driving. Can you tell me if this reset can also help to fix this problem?

    • @mrfixpl
      @mrfixpl  Před 3 lety +1

      Of that’s caused by air distribution issues, then it might help. Also check out if you don’t have water leaks (door speaker, roof drains, seals...) as it can also be caused by extra moisture.

      @@mrfixpl thanks for the help. I actually know I have a small leak in one of the rear wheel arches which result in a little bit of water at the spare wheel area. This only happens when I go with high pressure washer through the wheel arches. Apparently the problem is in the rubber seals for the doors to close smoothly.

      Set both dials to desired temperature (for example 21 Celsius / 70 Fahrenheit) and press AUTO button. System will take care of the rest. It will decided on it's own if it should use how or cold air, will set fan speed and air distribution.

    For some reason my car gets to 22C then after 20/30 minutes its start blowing cold air with it. is this normal?
    The motor and the temperature needles are replaced. also this calibration did not fix it.
    Is it faulty or normal behavior?
    I just have the temp set to 22C and nothing else (no airco or AUTO)

    • @mrfixpl
      @mrfixpl  Před 2 lety

      When the engine is warm, check if you get cold air when set to LOW, and hot air when set to HIGH.
      Climatronic system is adjusting air temperature to maintain interior temperature that you set with the dial. So you are not setting air temperature but the desired interior temperature.
