Here’s what I’ve learned: You can cut a person off completely for weeks, months and even years. If you let them come back into your life, they’ll play possum for a week or so, but as soon as you let your guard down, their masks slip off and they’ll go back to treating you badly again. Sometimes, they’ll be worst than before because they secretly despise you and resent you leaving them in the first place. Who else can they use, drain and manipulate when you’re not around? XOXO
Anyone who you consider a friend or family member who regularly tries to make you feel shame about who you are as a person, needs to be ghosted. They will keep you in that role and continue with that behavior for as long as you are around them. If you are sensitive, getting this treatment from someone you "love" may hurt so much that it can drive you to an addiction or even suicide. These are mentally-ill people who get satisfaction from emotionally damaging others. They are weak people who don't have the strength to deal with their own damage in a healthy way, so they put it on others. That's their only way of feeling "strength" and it's pathetic. You can try to talk it out, but people who do this are usually the angry, miserable types and they are not receptive to reasonable communication. Losers. They will usually just try to put you back in your place with shouting, fear, guilt, threats, whatever it takes. Or at most, maybe give you a false apology and gradually go back to the usual mistreatment over time. It's bullshit, take care of yourself and leave it behind. They will probably hate you more than they will miss you for it, but that's their problem. Get that shitty energy out of your life at all costs.
Wow you totally described my childhood and life in my family. It's hard to stay away from these people because you want to have a positive relationship with them but they don't even realize how toxic they are. So I just set up boundaries and alot of them. Thank you so much Gary. I’ve been through this from a none friend and none family member who decided she had a right to stalk me after I ghosted/blocked her on sm due to a disagreement. I felt interrogated, harassed and manipulated. She then went after me on a google-stalking campaign until I finally shut all my accounts down and changed my online identity in autumn 2021. Some people absolutely need to be ghosted at all costs.

I ghosted my whole damn family, they excused people who abused me, they were never really there in my hardest time and expressed they didn't care about my grieving when my mom died, and they never once blamed my baby as family though she certainly was. They only called me to use to attend their events and for their kids and never helped me and then told me to just let it go and forget what they do. I refuse to speak to them anymore, I am GONE.

I ghosted my ex gf for wasting my time, trying to lead me on. But it wasn't just out of nowhere, I just didn't get upset, I accepted it ,and walked away, I just didn't open her last response. And even though she was acting cold to me, she started stalking my page for a month, and so then I blocked her. After about 3 months , I have finally unblocked because I don't care anymore. My mum recently got married last weekend. And during that 3 month period of cutting her off , I ended up gaining myself back, got a new job and I've moved out at 19. So it's definitely an experience. 4 years ago I was hanging around a bunch of people that weren't adding value to my life all they were doing was taking at the end every day I would feel drained to the point to where I became depressed once I stop being around those type of people my life became more peaceful started to get backlash from these individuals because I chose peace over drama , at first I felt some type of way because I was always alone but I realize self-reflection is the key

This video should have a million thumbs up and probably 2 million in views. #1. I concur with everything you're saying, and I love the way you said it. I've never heard of ghosting put in a positive light, but I'm once also looking at the half-full glass as see it just like you see it; kudos to you. #2. I've ghosted my entire family and met new friends and new love interests, and I'm pursuing the new path that I carved out for myself and feels good. #3. when I look back at all those I have to ghost it, they were sucking the life out of me, and I wasn't getting anything in return. Or I was having to compromise what I was reaching for what I've given, and I've given an awful lot over a significant span of my life. I raised someone else's children, my children, took care of my sibling (whose children I raised), I also took care of my mother (deceased, my grandmother's deceased, my father's dead), and I have grown folks around me or not really around me. They should be around me, and those that are around me dictate to me try. Well, what I've done with my life since I've ghosted my family is remarkable. I've met a lot of younger people who are beautiful people who also have their needs. I've encouraged them to share books with some of them; we have the same interests. I enjoy several of them on my job, and then I met a new love interest with such chemistry and compatibility that I'm falling in love every day. He's putting out as much as I'm putting out, and that's wonderful; there's no just one side it takes, and not only that, he recognizes that it's because of our interests in 1 another and his ability to show me something I hadn't seen in myself in a long time that now has me looking better and my family is the was is trying to creep back into my world, but I'm telling them said remain where they are at this point because I'm not complete I'm not finished with my journey at this time. Great video as always! For me it comes down to danger. If I feel a person is a danger to their own lives, I will ghost them. Regardless of how long the friendship/relationship has gone on, and regardless of how good it was in the past. If a person goes on a long streak (months or years) of being toxic and dangerous, I clock out. Birds of a feather flock together. When they go down, you’re going down with them.

Sometimes, you need to ghost someone if they put you in danger. You have every right to protect yourself.
I've had to ghost people who were a negative influence on me, or seriously bad for my mental health. Others are just plain dangerous, and really need to go, no explanation needed. They will drag you down if you let them. Thank you, Tyler 💯

I just ghosted a so called friend. She only returned my calls when she felt like it and was constantly looking for attention. I got tired of it and bounced! Blocked her on everything. I feel so much better

I ghosted my ex gf for wasting my time, trying to lead me on. But it wasn't just out of nowhere, I just didn't get upset, I accepted it ,and walked away, I just didn't open her last response. And even though she was acting cold to me, she started stalking my page for a month, and so then I blocked her.
After about 3 months , I have finally unblocked because I don't care anymore. My mum recently got married last weekend. And during that 3 month period of cutting her off , I ended up gaining myself back, got a new job and I've moved out at 19. So it's definitely an experience.

I was tested a few times after a major shift. The guards around my heart told me exactly who the person was. Everything was on point. I'm so thankful my eyes are open and the veil has been lifted.
I keep my distance from people because I enjoy my company and keep to myself a lot. I’m casual with people but if there’s someone who I’m not feeling that much I’ll keep my distance from them and not make myself too available from them.

Me too but I don't pop up suddenly in people's lives after weeks gone and expect them to care about me again. Alot of people are saying they don't do people and only keep to theyself but they consider checking in on people once a month is still doing them and trying to keep the door open to them.

4 years ago I was hanging around a bunch of people that weren't adding value to my life all they were doing was taking at the end every day I would feel drained to the point to where I became depressed once I stop being around those type of people my life became more peaceful started to get backlash from these individuals because I chose peace over drama , at first I felt some type of way because I was always alone but I realize self-reflection is the key

Ghosting is actually very UNDERATED! They say ghosting is bad but some people you have to ghost and move forward! It all depends on who you ghost on if they are toxic and negative people YES but if they are positive and good people NO after your experiences with some people for a while you should know who to ghost on and who not to! #1. I concur with everything you're saying, and I love the way you said it. I've never heard of ghosting put in a positive light, but I'm once also looking at the half-full glass as see it just like you see it; kudos to you.
#2. I've ghosted my entire family and met new friends and new love interests, and I'm pursuing the new path that I carved out for myself and feels good.
#3. when I look back at all those I have to ghost it, they were sucking the life out of me, and I wasn't getting anything in return. Or I was having to compromise what I was reaching for what I've given, and I've given an awful lot over a significant span of my life. I raised someone else's children, my children, took care of my sibling (whose children I raised), I also took care of my mother (deceased, my grandmother's deceased, my father's dead), and I have grown folks around me or not really around me. They should be around me, and those that are around me dictate to me try.
Well, what I've done with my life since I've ghosted my family is remarkable. I've met a lot of younger people who are beautiful people who also have their needs. I've encouraged them to share books with some of them; we have the same interests. I enjoy several of them on my job, and then I met a new love interest with such chemistry and compatibility that I'm falling in love every day. He's putting out as much as I'm putting out, and that's wonderful; there's no just one side it takes, and not only that, he recognizes that it's because of our interests in 1 another and his ability to show me something I hadn't seen in myself in a long time that now has me looking better and my family is the was is trying to creep back into my world, but I'm telling them said remain where they are at this point because I'm not complete I'm not finished with my journey at this time. I'm carving out a new path for my life. I thank you so much!
It gets easier to cut off the fakes and phonies after you turn 30, and when you turn 40, the cut-off game becomes lethal and ice-cold. They'll run to tell people the poison about you, but not about what made you make the decision. In the end, moving in silence and focusing on your success, will always put you and keep you on top.

If I ghost, then the ghosted person has earned it. If a person is ghosted then they should take the hint and move on. Every person has a right to ghost if they aren’t happy with being around someone and they are done with the connection and want to be left alone. If you get shit for ghosting, then the shit bringers don’t respect your boundaries. They don’t understand your need for space and have earned the ghosting experience, especially if they are toxic people. They need to back off and learn from the experience instead of criticising those who want to leave. If you get ghosted, respect yourself and the other person enough to call it quits and move on. Obviously they are not right for you and you are not right for them. Everyone will find their true people eventually. Don’t criticise someone for ghosting. You might not know that they were trying to protect themselves from a harmful person or situation. Ghosting could save your life.

Great video as always! For me it comes down to danger. If I feel a person is a danger to their own lives, I will ghost them. Regardless of how long the friendship/relationship has gone on, and regardless of how good it was in the past. If a person goes on a long streak (months or years) of being toxic and dangerous, I clock out. Birds of a feather flock together. When they go down, you’re going down with them.
