    When we got our "Aqua Alice" (that's our name for her - like Alice on the Brady Bunch - but for underwater.) I really wanted to love this unit. It looks sleek. It moves nicely under the water and it's easy to "drive" and retrieve when it's done. But, it's advertised to have "advanced algorithms" for cleaning your pool. Their advanced algorithm is that it simply moves around randomly and there's nothing advanced about it. We have a RoboRock room vacuum and it mapped the house first, and then, optimizes ita path and follows a specific path to clean our house. I assumed (incorrectly) that this would do something similar. Map out the pool and use it's advanced algorithms to optimize its pool cleaning.
    Nope.
    It just goes here and there and, while it pushes a lot of water through its filters, it's missing tons of my pool. It s a true shame because they have a good unit... they just need to connect with a robot vacuum Co. And buy their REAL advanced algorithms because the ones they're using , just aren't cutting it!!
    I think you should review all the users before boasting just how good it is. out of 374 user (maytronics site) half of them were 3star and below--sad for such a pricey product. Just SAYING.

    I love your video! I am considering either Sigma or Premier. Can the Premier clean curved steps and "sitting platform" and its corresponding waterline? I would think the extra motor and maneuverability of the Sigma would give it an edge. However, in the fall, I do get a pile of leaves, but that is just a few weeks out of the year.

    Would either of these options work for an above ground pool? I’m interested in them, but I’ve been reading their usually recommended for in-ground pools. The other one I was looking at was either the Dolphin Escape or Dolphin E10, but I was unsure with no anti-tangle swivel and waterline cleaning. I have a 27 foot above ground pool. Any advice you could give would be great!

    • @Poolbots
      @Poolbots  Před 2 lety

      Both of these would absolutely work for an above ground pool. You could also look at the Quantum, as it will have the anti-tangle swivel and waterline cleaning! They’re all 3 great options!
      The Escape is a great choice, but it won’t have the swivel or waterline cleaning! Otherwise, it’ll do great in your pool!

    great comparison....i am looking for the best option in our windy, sandy west texas climate. We get the red dirt blowing in this time of year. Im looking to change off my suction cleaner as its just too easy to clog the cartridge filters. I am even running a pre filter cyclone which does a great job but if I let it get too full it all goes straight to the cartridges. Would you recommend these cleaners for this type of climate? It looks like this fine dirt we have here would stop up any of those filter options on the premier or sigma. Does the cleaner automatically stop when it is full? Any info is appreciated.

      Yes, I had my premier for about 11-12 years been leaving it on the pool al the time. Shopping around for a new one, thinking of sending it back to maytronics for them to repair it. Don't get the remote, I really never used it.

    I have a struggle with yellow algae in my inground pool, which of these bots do you think would be better for me? Algae is my biggest problem here.

    • @Poolbots
      @Poolbots  Před rokem

      I would say the Premier since it comes with the ultrafine NanoFilters, leaf bag (still great for ultrafine debris), and even the standard filter! The Sigma also comes with the NanoFilters and Standard filters as well. But you 100% want the Ultra-Fine NanoFilters that are included with these robots!

      My pool is so clean and it’s no effort at all to clean this robot!
      I took your advice and had bought the premier. It is such a beast, I just use the micro filters… omg it gets EVERYTHING! It picks up the leaves and algae no issue, my pool is always spotless now. Thank you so much ! A robot is a must need for an in ground pool, anyone wondering premier vs sigma, they will both do it, the big bag in the premier I don’t even use because the micro filters still collect the debris with no problem. !!!! Wow lol

    • @randomreviews595
      @randomreviews595 Před 10 měsíci

      @@Kdot2x it goes right up the walls no problem, I have 3 stairs in the pool, it makes it up to the second stair sometimes, but that’s something that needs to be brushed the bots can’t do the stairs, this one works great, after about 3-4 times running it it now gets every spot basically, the first few times it missed some… also, the cleaning of it is so simple, just put it on its side in the lawn and un clip the bottom and spray it with a hose.. the filters and tray are so easy to clean it’s nice.
      I was looking into the premier, sigma, and even the m400 since that one came with a caddy and stuff, but for me this was the cheapest, expensive dolphin. Out of those 3, all should be perfect. Just don’t get a cheaper one that doesn’t have the handle on top to distribute the weight, they don’t actually climb the walls, this premier goes into my 8 foot deep end and goes right up to the surface no problem.. it hovers there for a little then goes back down. It’s the best investment for a pool I’m so happy I have one now, no more hours vacuuming manually
