#airTag #steal #carTheft - Auta a dopravní prostředky
I see this as more of a stalking and/or potential home burglary/home robbery issue than a car theft issue. Someone spots an exotic car, tags it, tracks it to the owners home and then you have much bigger issues than just property theft. I see technology like this actually causing crime to increase rather than thwarting it.
LMFAO 😂 gps trackers have existed smaller than this for years. The only difference is media hype
Yeah because you’ll find owners of exotic cars in any ordinary house in any ordinary town . 😂
@@jonrubio2993 lots of women have reported people slipping them in their bags.
@@Nick_Gir and criminals have been using them to track people and cars for just as long. I remember a couple of years ago seeing a news report of a woman who found a Tile tracker in her purse after a night out at a bar.
@@melodramatic7904 that’s scary stuff. That could be a abduction later. My sister law tried to go on a date with some guy she met on a dating site at a coffee shop but the guy claimed his car broke down and couldn’t make it. Then he called back and said wait I forgot I have another car but I can meet at you at this other place instead. The guy was being very sketchy and gave her GPS coordinates instead of a business name and tried to get her to meet him there and on google maps it was a abandoned sketchy building and a bad part of town. So we convinced her it was a bad idea then the guy got really mad when she didn’t go instead of being ok with it and just trying to reschedule. Me and my wife both were saying that’s some red flags.
I've also seen news reports of people seeing these placed into purses/other items by a random person in order to track them. People are truly sick, stay safe everyone
WWIII may be started because of one of these tags. 🤣
It's a real shame the direction this world is going. You stay safe too. 🙏
😂 they could just look at you with their eyes and follow you.. um. air tag didnt do much unless your a serial killer..😂😂
I have a feeling that car manufacturers don't get bothered improving car security. The more car stealing the more they make more sale in my opinion.
@Louie Orbon It might help get an extra car sale, but probably with a competitor. -The auto industry thanks Kia-
Very scary. My son just told me that he was alerted an air tag was tracking him from work. It was his first job, first day. And it was right after he showed up to work that it was put on my vehicle. Stay alert everyone😔
There was a story on Google News, where a person had one of these slipped into her coat pocket.
Thankfully her phone alerted her that someone was trying to track her. This has the potential to be very dangerous!
But APPLE says it is legal........ nothing about morality though. Violent crimes for cash. Thanks APPLE
What if said women used Android?
The problem is they notify thieves who steal your stuff you have an air tag on. Like your own vehicle. They find it remove it and you can’t find your vehicle or equipment etc

You not just acting !
They should be outlawed

Turns out a cheap, easy to use tracking device is also easy to abuse. Whoever would've thought such a thing?
Well, a company who collects and houses all the user data made a tracker, but the anti tracking side of it to protect possible victims doesn’t work? Speaks a lot to the companies priorities.
@@hawkman302 Lets not forget that you have to own an Apple product to even have a chance of being alerted, Android users have no chance whatsoever.

On Android, I use two apps to detect the AirTag. One is from Apple called Tracker Detect but it has to be ran manually. The other is Air Guard and runs passively to detect trackers.
Thanks for that info! I am sending all of my family, kids, grandkids, nieces, nephews of this as this is scary, damn human traffickers could use this thing to follow and watch their victims to grab them! 🙏🙏
Thank you!!
Why would someone make anything FREE? Ain't no free lunch as they say. Careful people. What corrupt world it is when so many abandon their conscience. 😔
seems better than nothing but those apps might only work for the apple brand of Bluetooth trackers, there are other brands of Bluetooth trackers (samsung) that might not be picked up by the apps you mention.. also important to remember is that some trackers use gps, 5g, 4g instead of Bluetooth etc etc.
I use these too. Airguard is run by a university in Germany so they can help to research this and publish information to help the general public.
Could you guys leave it in Alex’s car and see how long it takes for him to receive that notification that it is tracking him? Would be cool to know how long it actually takes to alert you.
I don’t know if they had the Bluetooth on but that might have been a problem getting the alert
@@rrdeadeye1658 That is what I was thinking. I always have my Bluetooth on for my Jeep's radio and hands free calling. Wouldn't that cause constant pinging?
So I don’t know if this is correct but I heard a few months ago that it takes a few days of following to indicate something is following you (maybe this has been updated) because if it was just an hour or so and you were on the same public transit with someone it would constantly be telling you that you’re being tracked. Also I heard that if you go further away from the AirTag it resets the time and it starts the countdown of alerting you all over again (whatever time that might be) so if you go inside your house with your phone that might be far enough to reset the countdown and you may never get the alert if it’s on your car. If anyone can confirm this that would be great.

I love the video of everything you guys tried to show us and test for us.
If you guys are willing, I would love to see a follow up related to this video. Test a few different areas on the car to see if it effects the ability to send the signal when near iPhones. Like in this video when looking for the airtag you checked the receiver hitch, while I totally agree that could be a good hiding location, I would think that all of that thick steel would block the signal and other phones would not pick it up.
It would not have to be a video about “how to/ where to”, more on the side of if the owner is wanting to use an airtag like you mentioned for your R6. See if there is different results from the receiver hitch vs the roof rack vs like touching the metal skin of the car (slim chance but maybe if touching the metal it could use it like an antenna).
Thanks for the video.
it would be super stupid to notify you asap if a stranger airtag is following you ... just imagine your bike/car gets stolen and the thief got alerted right away LOL :D
I heard about this a few months ago on the news. It’s crazy to think something that is for something that is lost can be used to track and not be used in the right way.
I bought one of those a few weeks ago and made my own test… I gave one tag to my daughter and asked her to put it on her purse, then she went out with her friends and half hour later she called me and told me that she got a notification on her iPhone. So, I think they enhanced the software to work better, or it does work some times, and some others does not.
I will keep making more tests. And thank you for this great video! 👍🏼

Any updates?
Tommy and Alex make a great team. This was fun to watch.
You'll only get a notification if you're in a saved location, such as your home or office; otherwise, it'll take hours or even days to alert you. It's best to save the location of your local shop, and when you arrive, you should be notified that you have an unknown AirTag with you.
This is good to find your stolen car as well. For every action there is an opposite and equal reaction.
Good job on actually doing a test run. I would like to see updates on apps that might be available to find them including Android devices.
I assume if your bluetooth is not on you wouldnt get a notification.
“If I were a real thief” yes indeed folks! Time to start thinking like a criminal, gotta do our best to be one step ahead of them.
If you have an android phone, Crapple made a detection app fop android as well..
So the Iphone of Alex is not updating the location of the tag? Does he have certain settings off on his Iphone so it doesn't share locations of any tag that is near him?
I'm sure it won't be long before someone comes out with "air tag detectprs" that when you get into your car and there's an airtag in it, the detector will alert you. Someone will make a fortune. Better yet, a device tha will disable an airtag after it detects one. Ha!
I think the best solution for the is to try and put the thief's tracker on a police cruiser with the police's permission. I would imagine how hilarious the outcome would be
You are brilliant!! Except the person planting the tracker device is unknown. The police wouldn't know who the tracker is to arrest the person.
There needs to be a device or app that immediately READS the tracker and downloads the location of the phone attached to it. That would reveal the phone of the tracker person.
@@contactjoy4140 I had the same thought as Bob ... and I'd suspect the police would have the means of subpoena to obtain the owner information.

I am gonna guess they are balancing the use to track your stuff if stolen. (You wouldn’t want to alert the thief of the tracker) and the unauthorized tracking. I would be curious if the active phone was never near by how long it would take to get that notification and if it it always the same or if it’s random.
I rented a motorhome a few months ago and started getting notifications about an apple air tag following me about 20 or 30 miles from the owners house. It gave me the option to disable it which I did not do since it wasn’t my property and I understood why they were doing it. I got several notifications about the tag over the weekend.
That seems like a smart use of the airtag.
The greatest risk isn’t from the dynamic tracking feature. The risk comes from when you park your car on your driveway at day’s end, or when you park it in a parking lot and then leave your vehicle.
Thanks, Apple
If you don't own an iPhone yourself, you will never be notified of the tag's presence.
Really insane. Even if there's an option to track it on Android, there folks who don't own a smart phone or cell phone.

Of course its Apples fault again . Tracker are on the market since many years , Apple brings something out which could potentially warn you - now you are not happy . Good luck to you if someone uses a Tile tracker …
Won’t the thief get a notification as well, saying the same thing “tracking device” detected near you.
Basically turning the tables, that is of course if they have an Apple Phone.
You can do this with other devices like Tile and other devices. You can also get a dedicated GPS tracker but they are expensive.
The GPS trackers aren't that expensive but you have to have a SIM card and subsciption, and that gets pretty pricy.
ya, an hour of testing wasn't enough. my daughter thought she was being tracked once when she was in Barcelona this summer, but more than likely it was someone in the group she was traveling with who had one for legitimate purposes. when that happened, I did some research and my understanding is that Apple won't notify you of being tracked by an airtag for several hours to avoid false alarms. false alarms would be quite common (and irritating) if Apple gave notifications after only an hour, considering a lot of public/commercial transportation like buses, trains, planes, etc. have strangers together for more than one hour.
If it’s with the owner (the Apple ID that registered the device) it won’t send alerts
I actually did get a notification from a AirTag when I was driving earlier in 2021. I was driving back from a golf trip with the boys. My friend left his keys in my car with an AirTag on them. We went from the course to grab dinner, then to a buddies house. Then stayed there for 2-3 hours. I left to go home, as soon as I got to my house. I got a notification saying I had an AirTag. This was my first time I’ve heard about it or even saw one. So I was looking around playing the sound to figure out where it was. I did find it between the rear seats. I could have been tracked for maybe over 5 hours without any notification that I had an AirTag near me.
Yeah it shouldn't be allowed to update through random peoples phones, I didn't authorize the device. Apple needs to rethink this. Is t using my data to send the location even if a small amount I pay for that.
Spooky and poorly thought out on Apple’s part. They should update their software to make sure the person being tracked knows much faster. Also, should require FaceID to register tag. Could be a home invasion problem if the criminal sees an expensive car and wants more than transportation.
What about the drunk cuties leaving the clubs late at night who have been tagged? Check out all the illegal uses these things are for. APPLE knew what they were doing when these things were created,.
If the person being tracked gets an alert, then it defeats the purpose of the tracker.. the their will know they are being tracked and just throw it away..
The tracker was about 3 feet from his iPhone the whole time. I think it just wasn’t close enough to his person to trigger a warning.
@@yega3k It would have to be close enough for the thief to be able to get updates. The AirTag was piggybacking off from the phone in the car.
@@TheOutdoorExperience Yeah, sure. But not necessarily close enough to trigger a warning. Imagine a bunch of people on a bus or Uber - your iPhone will be aware of all AirTags within several feet from you but won't necessarily warn you unless it has determined the malicious AirTag is on your person (like in your pocket, bag or within arm's reach)
To get the notification you have to get to a significant location like your house. Add your own air tag as a counter and the their won't get notified until they get to a significant location like the chop shop or their house. I like that a thief doesn't know until they get home with your stolen stuff.
Great video with explanation. Kudos to the new look Tommy
wow, just saw a video yesterday from a guy that found one on his SRT Charger.
Stalker's dream!!!
Get out of here Stalker!
Yeah but Apple has built in features that let you KNOW one is around you, so you can't be tracked by one of these for very long without your knowledge.
Yes, they most definitely can track you without your knowledge BUT , at least they've taken steps to help reduce the amount of shady activities being done with these devices.
They will be used for more good than harm! (Let's all hope anyway 👍🏼)
Well, I mean... In THEORY it should let you know you're being tracked. But apparently, mileage may vary. Which is a little frightening.
This device is terrible. If you don't own an iPhone, you would never know you are being tracked. Your iPhone can be used as an accomplice to a crime being committed.
This is some tech that nobody needed other than criminals.
This would be relatively easy to code out.....
If someone else's tag is following you around, It can give you a heads up, and because that tag is registered to another person, you can directly report that person.
Ideally reporting them would disable that specific airtag or something
The big concern is if you target someone who has an Android phone, they'll have no idea
What model iPhone does Alex have? I think I remember that 11’s and newer are more accurate with it. And also if he had the Bluetooth off it might not see the tag as nfc is not as strong of signal.
There are so many nefarious uses of this tech that have nothing to do with car theft.
If you find one of these on your vehicle, you might just want to call the police and let them know you're being targeted for something.
It could just be a crazy ex, it could be somebody who saw you were well-dressed and thought maybe you have a bunch of nice things in your house.
It could be worse.
Good video guys....
I would imagine there would be a serial number and a way for police to determine what phone it is registered to if the situation warrants investigation.
You're probably being targeted by police.
Police wouldn’t care until there was a car theft reported, missing person, or linked to a homicide.
I keep AirTags on my vehicles and removed the speaker. Hopefully I’ll be able to track my vehicle if it gets stolen. Or a crook might get scared that he/she is being tracked and abandon the vehicle before they take it to get stripped.
I use it too for my car especially thieves stealing cars rn because the car shortage going on
You don’t think a thief may have a device to have the beeping locator on the Airtag turned on to hear it’s hidden location?
@@weduhpeople8504 You can take the speaker out.
Solid vid Tommy! Pointed out a pretty big flaw as I bet the car blocks a decent amount of the signal. I shipped some tags around the world and they tracked the whole way so I'm sure the mail man got some weird notifications.
The Fast Lane Car Guys, so if I live in a small town/rural area and owns antique/older vehicles that are easy to steal; what device do you recommend to track my vehicle if stolen?
The bigger problem is keyless vehicle entry thefts. That's where the manufactures are failing us. Even having a pin code to start the vechilws like tesla has is a huge step up. Yes I'm sure that can be eventually hacked. Car manufacturers really need to step up and provide better car security features.
Customers need to step up and gain some knowledge about things around them.
Sorry for twisting your argument around :)
@@valdius85 Not sure how that helps - knowing that hardware is bad and there is no fix doesn't really change the problem.....
Cars are made to be driven safely. It's not their job to provide you with personal security. Do you also want a gun or knife with purchase? Don't blame the manufacturers, blame the thieves.
All you need to steal a car is a flatbed truck.
I'm a Locksmith. I heard Nissan has a motion detector built into their new remotes. When it doesn't sense any movement, the remote basically turns itself off, to fight repeater attacks.

We experienced the same thing with a different device. We got a notification that my sons phone was being tracked while we went out looking at Christmas Lights. It showed EVERYTHING we did and the time we did it. It freaked us all out because we where in a loan vehicle while my truck was in the shop. We thought someone was looking to steal the truck out of my driveway. The phone couldn’t tell the difference between Air Pod Pros following or the Air Tag. Good news it was just my Air Pods so no one coming to steal the truck. We still made a Police report and also switched out the Truck, Ford also gave it a good once over as well. Just seeing the map of our drive, dinner and Christmas light looking was hours of tracking, it certainly wasn’t got our attention. Now my air pods think they have been left behind every where awhile still in my pocket
Airpods track just like Airtags
Just had a female friend of mine have this happen. Apparently these Apple tags will also notify Android users that pass by that there's an Air Pod near by or consistently following you...she got several notifications saying "There is a Apple AirPod tracking device that is near you" then it went on to say something about this device being linked to her last known locations. Went over her car. Found one hidden under the front fog lamp of her car. Needless to say...someone walked home with a limp and a lesson when we found out who it was.
He shouldn't have been able to walk at all!
Exactly what I was wondering the entire time watching this...if this device will register in any form on cell phones of Android owners. Thanks Alpha2! 👍🏾
And who was it?
Airtags do not notify Android users that they are being followed. But if you find an Airtag, you can use an Android phone to get the website with the owner's information.
@@saurabhsonic you can’t ever get the owners information, unless they release a phone number to you.

I have them hidden in the car too. I also have a drone kit with a cellular tracker. I’m not too worried about a thief taking my car because if they do I’ll have my laptop open and the engine killed.
Could you use the same techniques to install one of these gizmos so that you can track your vehicle in case it was stolen?? Turn about is fair play....
Is this a question or a statement? because that's literally what this video is about...
Airtags can't tell if they are tracking a victim or a thief, so late I heard was it will notify that you're being tracked after 24 hrs. Well, if your an Android user you may never find out.
@Jon Doe it'll only tell them after staying in one place for a while or after a ~24 hrs
Lojack is crying it's eyes out now.
I believe the notification that an airtag is following you only starts after some duration has passed, like xx hours but Apple can probably change/optimize that over time. Then it notifies them and they can even signal the sound on the airtag. That doesn't really help with your theft scenario, but I think putting your own airtag on the vehicle is the best countermeasure. And if you ever get in a huge parking garage or parking lot, you can avoid the seinfield situation.
Great video guys! Thanks!
5:51 notifications are off. Try with notifications on to see if the tag pings when following non-owner.
As a police officer I've already dealt with this. We were unable to connect to the tag, because the user already removed it prior to officer arrival. It took the airtag approximately 20 hours to notify the iPhone owner the tag was there, and it was gone before my arrival.

I wonder if he didn’t receive a notification because it was registered with someone in his contacts list. I imagine it would otherwise provide notification if an AirTag registered to an unknown user were left in/on your vehicle. I think there is also a way to search for a nearby AirTag. That being said, one would have to know to look for that and unless one checked every time they drove their vehicle, there would be little way of knowing in most situations.
Unless there was an update to AirTags that I don’t know about it will still notify you. I traded vehicles with my wife one day this past summer and using her keys to drive her car I got a notification about the AirTag being nearby.
Can you try to test it out with an android device? It’s supposed to be able to work with androids that you can get notifications from an android device too that there’s an AirTag nearby.

I wonder if Alex made sure to have his Bluetooth active on his phone. Otherwise he would not get a message an airtag is traveling with him. I'm also curious that if the vehicle's owner hides and airtag on his vehicle and it gets stolen will the thief get an alert that an airtag is traveling with them?? Then they play a sound and simply removes the battery to disable?
Recommended to report a planted and found Airtag to local police for a report. Keep the device as it does have some identifying info on the owner when Apple alerts you. Also, there may be other cases of this and any trends are important to monitor for authorities.
This test was done in Australia by a CZcams channel, using the apple air tag, Samsung tag and built in vehicle tracker, . The Samsung come out as most accurate.
You would think with Alex having a iPhone it would be updating so if did not have iPhone probably wouldn’t be as accurate.
Once you find the tag, if that actually ever happens, is it possible to track it back to then phone it is registered to?
Very interesting. Thanks for posting this.

Better yet, out of old Detective Genre shows, use the "Tracker" against the thief; drive to an "Undisclosed" Location, stake out the Car (or have police or PI do so) then Bust the scoundrel tracking you/your car! I just had this notification pop up in my phone! Super scary. Wonder if there’s a way to hack/prompt the tag for it to beep??
The tracking only alerts after 3 days. Presumably this is so people in trains, traveling together, etc aren't constantly bombarded with false "you might be being tracked" notifications. It seems like this could be reduced and account for the owner of the AirTag being present or not, but still an interesting result.
True, if Tommy owned the Jeep, you won't want to alert the thief he stole the car. It's double edge sword.
Also, if someone steals your things and you have an AirTag tracking your own stuff and they have an iPhone they will get told you are tracking them if that feature works, so it kinda defeats the purpose of using it for extra security
Thats what I think , lets say iam a thief and holding iphone .
Iphone give me information while i steal some stuff lets say a backpack , so i take what valuable in backpaack and throw backpack on street .
Wtf
Or the bad guys take the Air Tag and stick it on a truckers rig at a truck stop and send you on a nation wide wild goose chase!
But these devices weren’t designed to be like a LoJack system, they are for people that lose their keys or wallets in their house or vehicle.

So, if the AirTag isn't intentionally connected to Alex's phone and it runs a Bluetooth signal, it has to be connecting to Alex's Bluetooth or another device that is feeding its ID and GPS to the network. Maybe you covered this part of the 'network' architecture and/or (more likely) I'm missing something here.
Or, is the AirTag finding 'open' BlueTooth devices along the way (assuming Alex did not have any other device?)
Could it be using the car's BlueTooth to periodically update to the 'network'?
I know from a previous job that most newer cars are constantly sending data to either satellite or cellular towers with tons of data - rain, fog, hard braking, slippery conditions, etc.
Couldn't thieves also use Tiles or Samsung Smart tags?
They have really small range
Do not work
Because they only work in direct connection with the paired device
On the other hand air tags link with any apple divice nearby and update their location
With samsung smart tags, it works off your phone bluetooth & airtags uses other people iphones to track it. People have mailed airtags from the US to other countries & they was able to track it, through the whole trip.
Tiles or Samsung don't have the vast network that Apple does with iPhones
@@WhittyPics it's not so much about the network, cause any phone manufacturer can do it. It's enough people with Samsung phones, that Samsung could do the same thing with smart tags.

Ahhh, never going anywhere and owning a scuffed up Chevy Trax that no one would want to steal gives me a sense of freedom.
In Nashville, cars get stolen so they can go commit a crime in a vehicle that can't be traced back to them. They get rid of the car when they are done with it.
Welp.....🤷🏽♀️
Wouldn't the "victims" own iPhone (assuming they are still in the car) be sending somewhat constantly the location of the other person's AirTag? So you don't even have to rely on random other people with iPhones? The lack of an "illegal" AirTag notification is very concerning. I wonder if someone can develop an app. that will let your phone scan your car on demand? Apple?
Exactly what I was trying to ask
there is an android app for that but you have to open and run it each time you want to check. It does not seem to scan continuous while it is open, just when you trigger the scan. as to the victims phone updating the tracker, I am not positive but I think it will only update if the nearby phone is on wifi, not a cell connection.
Is there yet an app which broadcasts a nearby police station as the location for a set of airtag ids sniffed out of bluetooth packets? Particularly the id of found ones no longer with batteries.
These work on shorter distances like Bluetooth, which is why the signal needs to ping off other devices to maintain tracking.
No. All airtag communication is encrypted and your own iPhone can’t talk to it beyond getting that notification.
Thanks boys. Well appreciated.
Although Find My does “Live” tracking, the app as it is on your phone doesn’t always do a good job of refreshing properly. It often requires you to refresh it multiple times p, and sometimes requires you to re-open the app to get a refresh.
Insurance company was happy that I could add an AirTag to my rigs.
Don't drive an expensive car or have expensive things is the moral of the story, regularly check pockets and bags on your person. Apple needs an app you can trigger manually to see if any trackers are within a foot of your phone.
There's people out there that work and struggle their whole lives to finally get the car they wanted or to finally get that "expensive thing" they always wanted to finally feel a little satisfied once they finally hit the finish line. I understand what you're saying but I'm sure if you had a very large portion of money after struggling so much for so long you'd want to treat yourself even just a little. Also of course getting something expensive comes with more of a risk but doesn't mean it can't still happen to someone with a 2000 dollar car all type of vehicle and things are stolen these days so I can't agree with your moral of the story but can agree with some other things you said
@@lustgreed8824 I have never bought anything expensive, as I give most of money that doesn't go to bills to charity. If everyone did this, it would be a wonderful world for everyone.
once a guy my dad knew did something similar, he wouldnt marry the good looking woman, he married the ugly one. His theory was that if he had the hot one, guys would always be trying to steal her from him, but they would leave the ugly one alone. I am thinking along the same lines, keeping my eyes open for an amish woman.
No they steal older cars to steal catalytic converters. They use the older cars for front or steal the older catalytic converter.
@@ih8you176 LOL That's funny you believe that bull. In my city 93% of stolen cars are newer cars.
Great work guys.
Great job teaching us how to track someone & their vehicle.
I know absolutely nothing about this, but, I wonder if the Apple system knows that your two Apple ID accounts spend a lot of time together, so it didn't notify you when being tracked because it thought it was normal that two devices from these Apple ID's be close together. Like I said I have nothing to back this up, just a thought.
Samsung tag have manual refresh options and they send data faster than Apple and you can have active tracking ... And more precise than Apple .....
Samsung is better than Apple
@@derradune6722 Apple is closed ecosystem and sumsung have open ecosystem which make it more useful and more powerful than Apple . Samsung have everything better than Apple because they make most of the parts of Apple which makes Samsung more powerful...

Perfect way to combat the misuses of the i-phone Air Tag is the Samsung 45 caliber Hollowpoint Artery Tag .. Very effective
great video Guys,congrats
Apple should decrease the time it takes to notify you when an unidentified AirTag is following you (or at least give you that option). 3+ hours of no warnings! That’s too late. I placed an AirTag on my car so I know where it’s at just in case.
Why though? If someone takes your car you honestly want it back after the did who knows what to it? Nah if mine is stolen I hope its never found.
"3+ hours of no warnings!" - although I really do agree with you, from the technology point of view, it might be very expensive for Apple to lower that time to something reasonable. It will require a lot of computing power.
I don't understand why Apple would risk such a liability when it could just be solved with a small subscription.
Unfortunately, I have a feeling that Apple will be seriously sued in the future as this technology will be used for more serious crimes than just stealing cars :(
@@hardtech1 speak for yourself. I love my TJ rubicon.
In a real situation where someone actually uses it for good normally in a set of keys, if that person is walking by you then would you want your phone to beep and notify you that there is an AirTag by you? Just imagine that everyone has an AT walking around what would be a good amount of time before your phone tells you that an AT is following you?? There is no right or wrong answer here unfortunately. Just like a knife that I used to peel an Orange, if missed used it can kill.
@@valdius85 Dude what are you talking about. Expensive, I would be a small software update. Not the most groundbreaking stuff here.
Apple better ensure anyone that registers one of these can be found easily by law enforcement.
It should require a full face photo and 2 pieces of matching ID to register these tags to a user's account.
Makes sense if you not thinking of using it for criminal activity
This ain't it
Plus fully vaxed, masked, and boosted...
@@aussie2uGA oh god
I believe your iPhone will notify you about a suspicious AirTag once you get home (otherwise your phone will annoy the heck out of you every time you cross one) , now an easy solution would be for you to be able to make it sound to locate the device, drive somewhere else and drop it there. Just a thought.
Great video very informative.
If someone put an Air Tag on my car do I need to do anything for my iPhone to detect it? Switch Bluetooth on or download the app for Air Tags, etc?
Sadly, when the device was introduced, one of my initial thoughts was of its security risks.
Apple don't care, as long they make money out if it
The user's phone number should be displayed digitally on the AirTag so they'll think twice about installing it on cars (touch a screen and # is displayed).
@@ravenbonanza1522 created by thieves; for thieves. Brilliant.
Fun thing is that IF that "You're being tracked" notification does work, it'll only be for iPhone users. So Apple makes this little tracking tag that creeps can use, and if you don't have an iPhone you have zero way to know your being tracked.
It only works if the victim has an iphone
I have a question about this product. Do you have to register this product before using ? Or you. Can just input any information on it?
How do you detect an airtag or tile device in a static location? Say you're at home and you want to find all the tile devices in your vicinity instead of taking all your backpacks/bags/gym bags etc out with you? Basically I want to find all tile devices in a 30ft radius, make them make noise and find them.
