Powerball: Contenders try to score points by depositing balls into baskets and avoid being tackled by three Gladiators.
Assault: The contender must attempt to hit a target while a Gladiator shoots at them using a tennis ball cannon.
Sky Track: The contenders and a Gladiator race around an inverted track, using velcro attached to their hands and feet
Whiplash: The contender and Gladiator each hold one end of a double triangle apparatus, known as the “dog bone”. They must each attempt to have the other either let go of the “dog bone”, or exit the ring.

The Eliminator: The Eliminator is an obstacle course spanning the arena, the winner of which advances to the next round of the competition.

Also if you watch the way Turbo took him down you can tell he was trying not to work him over to hard and hurt him because he was only hanging on by one hand

Guess being a Gladiator is a lot more difficult than fans would think. Imagine if you did something embarrassing, like Ice tripping over in front of thousands of fans. Fame is cool, but the pressure of almost being as Perfect as a Gladiator should be must be a workout in itself.
