I got mine in February for 415$ and I couldn't be more happy with it. This is my second Sar 9 pistol and my Sar 9x Platinum mags fit this gun as well so that makes it all the more awesome. Can't beat the value at this price point. Great ergonomics, great trigger, extremely reliable and it comes optic ready. Definitely a viable option as an edc. It's not as heavy as my p10c and it's just as accurate so it's definitely part of my edc rotation.
At the end you shot a tighter group with the SAR9c Gen 3 gun. Thanks for the video.
Wow. You should carry that gem. You are so accurate with it.
I might be wrong, but this might be the gun you have been most accurate with on the circle test.
The sights are on point. Nice groupings as well on your part.
That things nice!!!! I love how the information just rolls as you’re doing your thing accurately too!!! One of my favorite channels by far.
Thank you
I’ve got a pair of SAR 9’s and I really like them .
best turkish gun on market right now no doubht
Canik is better
Excellent pistol and review
Amazing and enviable groups GB! I think you found a new gun with the perfect fit for you. I like the timed comparisons too. 👍🏻
Just about as accurate as one could hope for
Yes, every once in a while we find a gun that just clicks with us. This is certainly one for me
How about doing a PX9 Compact review soon ?
I've been trying to get my hands on one.
It's obvious that you really like this pistol - congratulations! I recently found discovering a gun you thought would be great is actually much less than you expected is a real disappointment. On the other hand, finding that you really like a new gun is a great feeling. I recently had that experience as well. I am trying to be content with what I have now and refrain from buying anything else. This might just become a temptation based on your experience with it in this video. Yes, you are an enabler for my handgun addiction 😄
I thought you did better with the GEN 3 at the end. This really looks like a nice pistol. I like when you find a nice affordable pistol.
I was curious about this pistol, sharp looking and after that test seems like a viable option. Thanks for the review.
Love that I saw the last gen video of this gun from you years ago. Glad SAR is still making great stuff. Definitely looking forward to forward to getting this version.
GB you always do reviews on sidearms I'm interested in ... I love it ...
I was holding my breath for the 4th shot and it had to be the 5th one this time. I think I got lucky with the previous gen and got a really good trigger.
Haha, thanks for cheering me on through my usual errors
💯🎯💯 Great video and shooting.
Great review.
Very impressive , nice
Nice video 🎉💪🏻 We are waiting for Sar9 Sc Gen 3
So are we. They promised to send one six months ago.
Mine has a sharp blade on the trigger dingus. Other than that, this is an unusually comfortable/ergonomic pistol.
Interesting, so their QC must not be perfect. I bought this one, so we know it's not a ringer. I hope a quick pass of a file can help yours.
Amazing review
Thank you
Nice!
I wasn’t sure about Sar but I bought one anyway. Glad I did because it’s a dang good pistol
Imo the SAR9 is a great shooting gun, and the gen3 SAR9 is even better! Idk why the SAR9 doesn’t get more love from gun tubers..?…. Great video
IMO… because just like Mossbergs MC2C lineup, they just don’t promote it enough . They’re both really great guns.
It's true, neither company works much with CZcamsrs. SAR said they send in January. 4 months later I just bought one because I wanted to review it.
@@GBGuns the SAR9 should get more recognition, the company should work harder at promoting it if that’s the case, better shooter than the Canik imo, that would be a good video, SAR9 vs Canik 🤷♂️
Sar nine is NATO tested. Very solid choice! Not fancy, just reliable.
@@kevbiker3982 correct, I included some about their 50,000 round test in the magazine article I wrote about it a few years ago.
That trigger definitely has an audible reset, something my sc is missing, unless your mic picks it up better than it sounds
Damn graham!! You almost shoot this gun as good as your grandpowers. Almost..😊 ill have to check this out. It looks high quality
I may have just been having a good day, but yes, this gun was easy for me to shoot well. I love finding a good shooter/pistol combination.
Great show & tell! How does this one compare to a PDP C?
🇺🇸
Do you think that you will get a chance to review the SAR 9 SC Gen 2? I believe it will give the CANIK MC9 METE a run for its money.
They said they'd send one, but that was months ago.
I think the muzzle flip might be your big hands. I have not experienced the muzzle flip that you did. I think a grip size change would help a lot with that. I love this pistol.
I wish there was more aftermarket support for this gun. If I purchase it, I would love to put a TLR7 on it but no one makes a light or holster for it :/
Ive always thought that sarsilmaz makes quality firearms. That ejector is throwing those casings. Looks like a good carry gun
Off topic...
Realize this is newly announced.
Any plans on reviewing Walter's reintroduction of the PPK and PPK/s in .32 ACP?
Your channel never appears in my feed anymore, even though I'm subscribed with 'All Alerts' specified.
Ticks me off!
I don't have a lot of 32acp ammo, but it would be nice to get my hands on the classic. The notification issue you've been facing is part of why I started GBGunsDepot.com If you sign up there (no marketing, and I don't sell the list) you'll get an email when articles come out, PLUS those articles have the videos in them and tned to be published days or weeks before I publish videos here on CZcams. The only people who get to see them any earlier are our Patrons.
Thanks GB. Great job. Good info. God bless.
LETS GO BRANDON
Reliable and fair priced for the features. I wish the rest of the market would align themselves with those same principles. Thanks for the review
Which would require western Europeans and Americans to work for the same wages and benefits as Turks...and the American and European manufacturers the same type of OSHA/EPA-ish standards as Turkey, and would pretty much prohibit manufacturers like S&W, Walther, HK, Sig, etc. to forego any of those annoying dead investments in product development...which, quite frankly, I've never seen any evidence that a Turkish firearms manufacturer has ever spent one serious nickel on.
SAR is a good company and frankly it's the best of the Turkish gunmakers, but wishing that someone else with a "better" name would make the same thing for the same price is fantasical.
Just say it, "I'm a cheapskate and I want a [insert name of favorite German gunmaker here] for the same price."
Besides, the M&P line and the base P320 line isn't far off pricewise, and used Glocks and the HK VP line are competitive (sort of) pricewise.
SAR absolutely does make reliable and rugged duty-capable guns, but I'll spend more and enjoy my HKs and Sigs instead.
@JD-tn5lz I'm a cheapskate and want ALL the German/Italian guns for the same price.
I really did take your point to heart in regards to the R&D cost, as well as regulatory costs driving some price points up. And the market dictates final price. Sig can charge whatever they want, but if people won't pay it, then it will eventually be cheaper. But people pay it. So that is the price.
Still holding firm to the idea that MSRP is overinflated on some brands, though.
@@bagel411you're pretty much on point. Absolutely, and I'm a cheapskate too.
Yeah, I'd love to buy my next new HK for the same price as a Sarsilmaz, but I know that just won't happen.
So like every good consumer I choose to either go cheaper and buy now or save a few pennies and buy later.
Thing is, Sarsilmaz does produce an excellent value. These 9mm striker fired polymers aren't my thing (who needs yet another?) but they also make some finely crafted CZ75 copies.
I love this gun and all Turkish guns. All are awesome. I buy them also. Yet , at the end of the day I always carry sig 365 and sw shield plus. It’s so nice to have options!!! Thanks graham for helping us all buy more toys.
I had sway towards an optic on the gun ,if you can drive a straight drive you don't need an optic
Is the gun a combat hold where you put the front dot over the intended point of impact or a six o-clock hold?
When are you going to do cz p07.. or have you guys?? If so we're do I find it..???
Excellent review, GB. I am interested now. Interrogative: How would you compare that SAR model with the Canik METE SF?
The SAR sits heavier in the hand than the METE SF
@@GBGuns Which one do you prefer?
@@v.german11b I think I prefer the more weighted feel of the SAR. The Canik is a great gun, but I like a little heft
@@GBGuns Thank you! I don't have an SAR yet. But I will.
What holsters work for it? G19? Also do the larger SAR mags fit?
Sir can you please do a comparison between sar9c and canik mete sf/mete tp9sf. I am confused in between them. What should i buy and which is more reliable and more quality and a good flat shooter as i always feel caniks are lil extra snappy.
The SAR has less felt recoil in my opinion, but both are pretty accurate if you’re a good shooter. Canik/Taylor Freelance sells a lot of accessories that help with the snappiness though. Can’t go wrong with either.
Hi GB just discovered you channel, very nice to watch, I was wondering where are you from ? US or Great Britain (hence GBGuns) ?
Welcome to the channel. I'm American, the "GB" is for "Graham Baates"
@@GBGuns Thanks Graham, is the law for guns the same in the USA everywhere ? Which is the best or the 2-3 best states if you like guns in the US ? And which is the worst ?
@@jansobieski3127 Despite our Constitution enumerating rights which no government can encroach on (national state, or local) ingnorance, stupidity, and enemies of the American concept have indeed slowly erroded freedoms in each state, The laws vary from state to state depsite stronger-than-federal protections against that. The worst states in my opinion would be California, Washington, New York, Illinois, Conneticut... the list could go on. The best states in my opinion are Idaho, Texas, Florida, Georgia. Sadly these days each state has some type of violation of what our gun laws are supposed to be.
@@gbgunsmedia ok, those infos are interesting thank you, I m a cop in France and I m really tired of all the woke bs in Europe I like the USA and maybe I could come to the US and work there in a security company, I don't know if that's possible. Here in France it's almost impossible to have a gun even for a cop, when you finish your duty you leave the gun at the police station. And even if you want a personal gun you have to make tons of papers and that gun needs to stay in a safe, really tired of all this crap, now in France all the african drug dealers have AK47 or other automatic rifles. You only have the right to be shot down, not to protect yourself.
@jansobieski3127 I was in Germany this year for the first time in 13 year and shocked at how much had changed for the worse (not gun stuff)
Wow, your just putting holes on top of holes. You shoot that gun very well. Don't ever let it go.
It's a beautiful thing to find that gun/shooter pairing
I love the side grip panels. This is the only gun other than the VP9 that has them. I figured HK had a patent on them but that isn't the case apparently. I wonder why more guns don't have them.
I don't know, the closest alternative are the three-sided grip panels like on Grand Power and some Caniks and Walthers
@@GBGuns PX9 TOO !
Would like purchase. Where can Get?
See pinned comment.
I think you raved about these guns before.
I was impressed with the potential and bones of the Gen 1. These Gen 3's have been a big leap forward.
I have the SAR 9 and its a good pistol for the price. But no comparison to the Canik. The trigger on my SAR 9 is horrible.I purchased some upgrades from Galloway and it didn't make on bit of difference. I would have to go with a Canik instead of the SAR.
The SAR 9 trigger was pretty rough, they greatly enhanced it for the Gen 3 models. I show that in the tabletop video.
Every one thinks the ruger semi auto are the best guns ,I would take a sar or taurus any day
What is the optics footprint on this?
Specs are in the pinned comment.
GB is that the bronze color?
Yes
@@GBGuns How did you like that color. A little hard to tell on the computer.
@@stephanieroberts1394 I like it. A lot classier than "FDE" in my opinion. It has some slighth sparkle to it. See the article on GBGunsDepot.com for close up cleaner photos.
SAR increased pricing on all pistols for 2024 by a good amount. If they can be found for $350 it is a reasonable price. But at $450, and only takes SAR magazines, is too much in my opinion.
So many Glock clone pistols available right now. Many share ability to swap parts w\glock G19 pistols. Those that don't but are still based off the G19 have limitations on magazine options and replacement parts, including upgrades.
But Glocks need aftermarket, I don't think this pistol does
Gen3 was much faster. Didn't look like you were working very hard with it.
No, it was a treat to shoot!
The Turks do seem to know how to make decent pistols. Or at least some of them do.
Glock needs to drop its price by $100 at least and that’s for all models. Too many new firearms with better tech is coming out for the same price and lesser. I’m just saying. That’s like walking around with a flip phone.
Glock is a great classic firearm, but I agree, not advancing for 30 years is catching up with them.
But is it made in "America?".....waiting for the goons to complain.
Nice.
It doesn't take a "goon" to appreciate buying from your neighbors instead of strangers. It's a good policy and benefits not just your community but yourself as well.
Apparently you have never worked, don't work, or don't plan to work at a US manufacturing job .
By the way, many people who won't buy Turkish guns choose to do so for any variety of reasons. Nationalism, patriotism, and religion aren't the only reasons. Most (not all) are junk and dealing with customer service is a nightmare...even dealing with Stoeger (a member of the Beretta family) is a curse.
Many, to paraphrase you, "made in America goons" are also happy enough to purchase HK, CZ, Sig, and Glock...maybe they just live in a house instead of a trailer?
Another high quality video, Thanks for the way u just lay out the facts even though its just ur opinion. Anybody who knows firearms will appreciate it. At least in MY opinion.
You don’t find many guns that will accurately shoot ever types of rounds you put in it, it’s a shooter,, didn’t you have a cheaper priced gun a week or two ago you tried out and it shoot all the deferant types of rounds great,, I believe it was the th 10 Taurus, I think
Yes, WFD is more of a function check than accuracy
Looks promising.
