Maurice said that the 1970 split was like losing half of himself( not seeing Robin). That was temporary. Robin said that losing Mo was a life sentence.
There is an interview with Robin where he said Maurice's death was his personal 9-11 and that you never get over the grief. Losing Maurice really affected Robin and likely, contributed to his failing health afterwards. How I wish both Robin and Maurice were still alive today and enjoying their lives with their families.
The infighting reminds me of what happened to the Kinks. They never achieved great success in the US. Good thing the Beegees put an end to it early on.

I loved Mo's part in the early years when he sang that part with such passion on to love somebody. I looked forward in later years to hear do that part but Robin always sang that part later on. I thought Mo sang it fabulously. I didn't understand why they never had him do it always.
Robin was wonderful, when he went solo. I have several CDs and I love them. No one could fill in for Robin. Thank God they got back together. Rest In Peace Rob and Mo. You brought so many wonderful songs to our lives. ❤️🌹❤️
BGs songs are varied and the sound is so unique and they can collaborate to produce good harmony of their songs..it is a complete package listening to them
