I'm still using my gh4! great video 👏🏻
I just bought a gh4 as a first videocamera for a wildlife documentary project 😎 can't wait to use it!
Good luck Matteo! Would love to see your project when it's done.
@@AlexMinor thank you! I hope I can finish it during this month so I can start the editing process
Great video! Thanks for the info.
What affordable options might be available for streaming please?
thanks joe for very usefull information you shared regarding gh4 , it is really very helpfull thanks god bless you take care this is KD sandhu from bollywood mumbai.
i have purchased 5 years ago an still waiting on the corner. i hope i success to use it one day :) it is great camera
Which Camera you shoot this video with?
so cool I own a gh4 too!
I use my GH4 since 2015! Since 2018 as a B Cam. I love it! Better ergonomics, lighter, smaller and better battery life than the GH5!
It's a great camera, absolutely!
Seeing this I know I should've started using mine. Bought one used with some extra mode as well as some physical extras and a supposedly good lense (Voigtländer 10.5 mm). Believe it all cost me around 5-600$ at the time so checking prices on the lense I believe I got a pretty good deal at least.
Still have not gotten around to using it though (nor have I used any DSLR before; 100% newbie). Was to use it for filming my hobby but fell out of it due to injuries and life and as such didn't get to start learning the camera. Worth it as a main camera to learn on nowadays?
Yea is true i still use gh4 i have grate experience made a lot of money with gh4
Saw a deal for GH4, just a video I need to see.
V good video, plz advice me best photo camera for wedding videography under 1000$ without lens, pls reply.
Great job! So, as we all know gh4’s performance in low light is weak. Does it improve in any way, when we start recording Prores through gh4 into Ninja V? Or we get the good old noisy gh4 footage only in Prores format?))
No, there is no improvement regarding noise. Just more color information.
@@TheBudgetFilmmaker thank you! That’s an important point. I am thinking about turning my good old gh4 into the second camera with the help of ninja v. But it seems now, that the only thing I get is the ability to shoot in Prores. That’s a quationable situation.
only thing is this one does not have IBIS.. like the G85
I'm still using my GH4 but I did recently get a GH5s.
Both are awesome. The GH5s is definitely a great upgrade path with lots of possibilities like 4k60p and Prores Raw.
I have metabones T Cine XL .064 but get vignetting. If I shoot in 4k on my GH4 will it remove the vignetting?
Yes, it is made to be used in 4K on the GH4, but it also will not vignette if you use Fullframe lenses in HD mode.
@@TheBudgetFilmmaker Thank you So Much!
Glad I could help!
Where can we see some of Marcos' work?
Here is a short film he shot on the GH4: vimeo.com/295447448
It's in german but you get an idea of what kind of storyteller he is. He's super motivated and a very nice guy. I hope he does more work in the future.
Hello I have the GH4, but the zoom is too close and can’t zoom any further what will I need, my lens is 45-150MM
45mm is already a tele lens. A superzoom like the 14-140 covers a much wider range if you are looking for something like that.
@@TheBudgetFilmmaker could you link me plz.
@@TheBudgetFilmmaker yea it’s like if you aim the camera on
Someone it’s zoom in all on there face and you would have to keep stepping back just to get it zoomed out

is it possible to use vlog internally and get away with it?
No, sorry, I wouldn't use internal recording with V-Log. The banding is very bad when used internally.
Is gh4 still good for videos n pictures ??
I think it's up to most tasks. I really like the IQ of the camera and I use the GX85 (which has the same sensor) quite often for photography.
Would you still recommend the Gh4 today? or should i get the GH5?
Depends on your budget and needs. You can get the GH5 with V-Log activated for a steal if you are lucky and the IBIS and 10Bit Codecs are a big plus. Also the possibilty to easily upgrade with the XLR module which you can use with the higher end models later on is also something I appreciated on the GH5. But the GH4 goes for around 300-400€ nowadays, which is quite cheap. And if you don't need 10Bit internally and IBIS, it's still a very good camera.
@@TheBudgetFilmmaker okay, well my budget is around 2000€ maybe a bit more. First I was torn between the Eva 1 and the S1H. I saw a S1H with the Sigma 24-70 l mount for 2400€ the Eva is around 2000€ but without a lens.
Do you just want camera and lens or do you also need lighting and audio. Because if that's the case I would recommend to budget some for that too, because good lighting and sound makes a bigger difference than between a GH5 and a S1H.
I can recommend the GH5 with V-Log anytime. If you get is cheap you can get a Viltrox Speedbooster and get some nice EF glass. I have the Metabones one, but I had them for many years now.
I still shoot only with EF glass and it's great that I can switch between my S5II, S1 and my GH5 and GH6. Also EF glass is super cheap for it's quality, if you can live without AF. The Sigma 18-35 1.8 is still a gem and under 600€ used. This and the Sigma 24-70 EF Art are my go-to lenses for many years now and I have no reason to switch.
Can we use 96fps and send it to Ninja V?
No, only internal
@@TheBudgetFilmmaker Do you know what is the max fps that we could send to Ninja V with gh4? Maybe 60 fps Full HD? Thanks for the answers
Yes, up to 1080/60 and 4k/30
@@TheBudgetFilmmaker Do you think I should sell my GH4 and bought a second GH5 or G9 to get better codecs, or keep my Gh4 and buy Ninja V?
7:00 carreta voladora...
BASED ON THESE SPECS. JUST GET A G7
Weee log lol
There's a lot the gh5 simply can't do. The gh5 doesn't fit into professional shoots without SDI connections like the GH4 has. We still get 10bit 442 with no IBIS on the gh4 and there's nothing it can't do on these shoots as an amazing b camera. The gh5 simply doesn't fit with the other big cameras on set. Both great cameras, but I'm still waiting for its successor in the GH6... Maybe.
LOL
