  • Gerhard Flesch was born on the 8th of October 1909 in Posen, today’s Poznań, then part of the German Empire. After Germany lost the First World War, which ended on 11 November 1918, Poznań became a part of Poland and the Flesch family moved to Bavaria. Flesch then studied political science and law in Marburg and married Ursula Richter. The marriage produced two sons - Tilo and Udo. During the Second World War he would have another child - a daughter Gerd Reidun - whose mother was a certain Anneliese Zechmeister.
On 30 January 1933, Adolf Hitler was appointed Chancellor of Germany by President Paul von Hindenburg. The same year Flesch joined the Nazi Party and in 1934 he became a member of the SS. In 1936 he joined the Gestapo and Reinhard Heydrich, its chief, gave him the task by to monitor religious sects in Germany.

It is hard to believe how many unhealthy people lived at that time, who were merciless even to children😢

That's one of the reasons many people deny the holocaust. A lot of young people these days simply cannot believe the level of industrial murder thousands of officials in Nazi Germany partook in. Part of it is due to their own innocence, part of it is willful ignorance.

I love your work HW, so I would love you to tell the story of Karl Plagge (no relation to the war criminal Ludwig Plagge) the good German officer who saved Jews during the Nazi occupation of Vilnius, Lithuania.

I L-O-V-E your channel. The best thing is when I hear of a Nazi I've never been aware of before. I have to admit, I'm not familiar with the Nazis who administrated much in Norway, other than Josef Terboven.

I don't know if it is possible to change the image of the video, but if it is, change Trodheim into Trondheim. It might not be that important for most, but as an norwegian I did not understand that this was actually Trondheim in Norway before I saw the video.

Thank you for commenting on Norway and injustice. To my grandmother Christine Salbrechter , my uncle Franz, a former soldier in for example Bergen, gave a memory photo of a pretty lady with the signature " In Liebe" and "Solveig". Grandmother told me proba bly he had a child in Norway. I feel concerned how was the live of this lady and her child. Where could I possibly get information? My grandmother has been against investment of family members in NSism.

The Russian's hanged was done on Walter Antonius Gemmecke's birthday! It didn't happend at Misjonshotellet '' SD HQ '' But in a villa at Gamle Oslovei '' Old Oslo road ''. 10:32 Is NOT Johnny Pevik but Odd Sørli, who also gave Rinnan the Coup de grâce at his execution! 10:42 NOT Rinnan or his gang!

Just a small linguistic correction: "Weser" is river in Germany. "Ubung" means training, but the "U" is actually a german "Y". The correct prenounciation is: "Weser Ybung".

The depth and extent of Seventh Day Adventists church's collaboration with Hitler has been minimized, and I think their involvement should be focused on, considering their later involvement and participation in helping in the Rawandan genocide. They seem to always come out smelling like a rose.

Can you give an example of a normal voice? I consider this impeccable delivery, but I'm genuinely interested in your answer because I'm a linguist, and I like to hear other opinions about language.
