I'm not one to comment a lot, but I've been watching your videos since you started and I just have to say, you have a beautiful family. You have come a long way in your business, to the point that John was able to stop working and now works with you in the family business. I applaud you, as a woman entrepreneur, a wife and mother, and a wonderful human being. I'm really, truly happy for your success, and hope God continues to bless you and your family.

I always clean everything before we leave because I don't want to come home to a mess. Also the yard, I like to come home and see it as others see it.

Speaking of coming back home, this reminds me of the time we went away and came home to a terrible, awful smell🤢...because someone had forgotten to take the kitchen garbage out before we left...uggg! Needless to say, it has NEVER happened again!
@@Earthy-Artist I can relate to that. I got a bit carried away turning power points off before we left. Our small freezer was turned off. Luckily we had lovely neighbours taking care of the house and they had cleaned it all up by the time we got back!.

Oh my gosh your pebbles is, absolutely gorgeous. Your vacation prep is exactly what I like to do before heading out. Haven't had one in about 20 years. Taking care of my mother,now my husband. It was so nice of you to take us along. Kinda like we were able to get away too. Hope you and your family have a wonderful weekend . Sheila McDade in Chattanooga, TN here . . . Here is a tip for you . . . instead of using a vacuum to clean your car just open all the doors and blow it out with your leaf blower! It actually does a better job getting dust and dirt out of hard to reach places.

Oh Mary, what a fabulous get away..I absolutely love that clip of you all drifting in on your surf boards to the shore ❤ that most definitely needs to be put in a frame. You would love some of our homes and country houses in England, just like the clips you showed. I love how you all still go on holiday together. Fabulous.

That was so fun going along with you! We very seldom take a vacation - we're pretty much home bodies. I so loved seeing your beautiful GREEN grass and flowers. We haven't had a drop of rain in about 7 weeks and has been over 100 for 26 of those days! Pretty much burnt up and the grass is brown. We'll get rain some day - we just keep praying! Thanks again for your video!

If you ever go back to Abingdon, VA you should rent/ride bikes on the Virginia Creeper Trail.
Love the Banx. I just sold mine and my husband's place down there. He passed away in April and I knew I wouldn't go there by myself. We were near the Wright Brother's museum in the Colington area. Beautiful there.
I feel like I’ve been on vacation, it is all beautiful!! So many memories made!!! Your home and yard are just as beautiful as the gardens pictured!

I loved watching your vacation video. My brother and sister-in-law sold their beach house in Duck, NC on the Outer Banks last February. I would visit them a couple times a year and always loved it. This was the first summer in almost 20 years I didn't get to visit OBX. We used to go to the Black Pelican every time I visited. Thanks for giving me a "visit to the beach" through your video!

What a great vacation. You n your family did quite a lot of places to see n stay. Each place was so nice n hiking oh how beautiful that was. It showed that everyone had a wonderful time. I must compliment the great taste you have n the places you chose to stay at. It’s been so long since I’ve had a vacation that it was so rewarding for me to see you n your family have a wonderful time. Now that I’m a widow n my finances are smaller my vacations will have to sit on the back burner. But it was nice seeing others enjoying there’s.

Beautiful yard, Mary. I try to let flowering plants remain until their bitter end for the sake of the bees which really enjoy those blossoms.

Mary, you look great in pants!!! Not sure I've ever seen you wear pants! We LOVE Grandfather mountain. My hubby is from that area of N. Carolina. The mountain looks dreamy with the cloudy fog! What a great place to vacation. The house was amazing! The lawn was fabulous! It reminded me of the movie "Driving Miss Daisy". Looks like everyone had a great time.

Hi Mary..I love that you share the boys take on the house being haunted..Lol. I guess since it has an old look about it and they are used to the white fresh look. It was great to see alittle bit of the vacation.so kind of you to upload. I loved to see the cats come to snuggle mom..so cute. You always inspire me and feels good to know there are like minded to share things with. LA
I too make sure that my home is clean and everything in order before we go on vacation as well. All we have to do is come home and get settled back in. A nice vacation! Thank you for sharing it with us Ms Mary and family. God's speed.
Abingdon, VA is one of our favorite places to vacation. If you ever get back there, be sure to catch one of the excellent plays at the Barter Theater, one one the best community theaters in the country. And be sure to enjoy the 30 plus mile bike ride on the Virginia Creeper Trail. It's an old railroad trail and winds pretty much down hill or at a 1% grade through some gorgeous farmland and countryside!

I started getting my blooms on my morning glories, miss the hostas , the neighborhood rabbit had a feast …love that Pebbles …have a wonderful vacation , enjoy for you all work so hard all year. I’m going to SC in Sept with friend to spend time with a friend . And also to Harrisburg Pa for my husbands navy reunion .
What a fun video and wow that house! I love old houses and like to imagine the family that lived there and what their life was like. Imagine living there and in 1912 getting the paper to reveal the sinking of the Titanic, such a long time ago! Your vacation looked awesome, thanks for sharing. We go to the OBX too as a large family group I look forward to it all year. 😀
Thank you for taking me to one of God’s most beautiful places on earth, OBX. I have vacationed there for many years but not recently due to health reasons, so thank you for allowing me to tag along. I think often people do not think about a vacation prep other than packing and travel snacks, so nice for everyone to see little reminders.

I have anxiety before leaving for a trip. I want to come home to a clean house, empty laundry bin and fresh cut lawn. I save money for my vacation just to have someone spruce up lawn, dust, vacuum air the house out and tweek it out before I get back. I always have the house clean before I leave, but have someone come in the day before I get back to really do a reset. I enjoy a trip, but like you I am glad to get home. I am rejuvenated and ready to go for another round.

Thanks for sharing your vacation. I loved that old home. That house has so many lovely features from times past. I also enjoyed that store you were in with all the blue glass/stoneware items. That would have kept me busy for some time. There was so much to see. The activities were great. What a nice time away for you. :)

I love how one really favors John in looks and the other one looks more like you. Give boys sand at any age and they revert to little boys again. So sweet. The kitties were so happy. Before we go on a vacation, I clean out the fridge, and either have a fresh, unopened container of milk in there, or freeze a small container of milk that can easily be thawed when we get back. I also make sure there is coffee, bread, butter and a meal in the freezer, to tide us over until I can go to the store after our return. I do all of the laundry, and clean the house. All of this prep makes coming home so much nicer. Then all I have to do the first night back is 2 loads of laundry. tfs 🥰🌞🌛🥑💗✝🌸
I loved this video! I haven’t been to the outer banks in years. This brought back sweet memories of traveling there with my husband, and years later with my extended family and a little one. We stayed on Avon both times and I would highly recommend a visit. Thanks for the glimpse of your family vacation!

Oh, you traveled pretty close to my house on your trip through NC. I live outside of Elkin, NC, in the rural Benham community of Wilkes County about 6 miles from Interstate 77. Yes, Abingdon, VA, is a lovely, historic town with an excellent theater. My husband and I have also been to Warrenton. I love watching your CZcams channel so thanks for sharing this.

I’m about 45 minutes from Abingdon. I’m also close to Calloway peak. I’m glad you enjoyed our beautiful area.
We love The Outer Banks! I’m guessing you have been there previously. There are so many beautiful beaches that we love. And the US history is rich there...so much about The Wright Brothers and their First Flight, which was there at Kitty Hawk Beach, the place where we have stayed all except one time we’ve gone. Your bed and breakfast was lovely, you had a beautiful place at the beach, you ate at nice places, and had fun in the sand and surf! Yes, it is fun to get back home!
