Erik Morales - Is a Mexican former professional boxer who competed from 1993 to 2012. He is the first Mexico-born boxer in history to win world championships in four weight classes, ranging from Super Bantamweight to Light Welterweight. Morales defeated fifteen world champions during the course of his career, and is famous for his trilogies with fellow Mexican legend Marco Antonio Barrera, as well as Manny Pacquiao. Morales was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in June 2018.

Erik Morales was arguably one of the most exciting fighters of his era. Almost every Morales fight was pure entertainment, win or lose. An incredible Mexican warrior El Terrible was.

His fight against Marcos Maidana was a war that he could’ve allegedly won even for his age at that time, the way he taught the young brawler a few tricks against someone so dangerous like Maidana was something amazing to witness.
His 12th round southpaw moments against Manny was breathtaking.
And his fight against Jones was a stamp mark for his career 😈
It's a shame we never got to see Morales vs Marquez, would have completed the new fab 4 of the lower weight classes (Pac, Barrera, Morales AND marquez) like when the original fab 4 all fought. Or when the Superflyweights all fought each other via SRR, Cuadras, Chocolatito and Estrada.

My favourite Mexican boxer of all time. The great ‘El Terrible’ Erik Morales. What a fighter he was!
Hand speed, power, footwork, tough as nails, chin, and not afraid to go toe-to-toe with anyone. Unfortunately the wars with Barrera took their toll.
I was at his fight vs Wayne McCullough. An underrated classic that gets lost in his catalog.
I somehow forgot he fought the Pocket Rocket but you're right that it was a great fight on his resume.
Not only did I enjoy Morales, but this vid shows a little Daniel Zaragoza as well. Zaragoza was nice; good developmental win for Morales on the way up.
Great fighter himself was Zaragoza. He did really well against a young hungry Morales considering all the battles he'd been through.

Canelo has one of the best resumes in boxing right now, and is a 4-division world champ, he is one of the greatest fighters of “this generation” (along with bud, Inoue and usyk).
