The audio is rather annoying in my opinion. They really should've left that out. All of the theming is too much. Like who has the time to stop and look at it? I just want to ride it without all the bells and whistles. I rather go back to '78 and ride it when it was the original incarnation. They didn't even have air gates back then to wait in the queue. It was common sense to wait and get on back then. The ride was much faster to get on. Now, it's been slowed down to be ADA compliant which is understandable. And they added an additional train car from 6 to 7. They have integrated more supports and brake runs. The way it is timed, there is virtually no way for both train cars to enter the loops simultaneously like in the past. They retired the old trains which were made out of wood and fiberglass. Now, it's only about 2-3 max new ones that are constructed out of steel and fiberglass. The harnesses have been modified from its original form for more support. It used to be where you can raise you arms up and now it's impossible to do that..The tunnel seems like a dismal failure in my book. Just looks like a flat screen wall at Target 🎯 with some arcade lighting. Plus the features can only be seen on one side. The NESSIE statue is basically thrown in like an afterthought. Back in the day, it was like a Christmas yard ornament on the left side in the tunnel. They really needed to amp up the effects by adding a smoke mist around the whole ride and inside the tunnel and an holographic image of NESSIE inside the tunnel for more a menacing feature. BGW needs to do better when theming period. It looks like something straight out of Sesame Street. Right now it favors the Land of the Dragons Grandma. 🐉 🎢 😫
