I held out the possibility that Kate is a (extra special) kind of cyborg until I heard ALLMIND speak about how Walter is an excellent pilot. There, the voice disguise is dropped. Even now I'm not too sure given the end game boss. Perhaps Kate is the first puppet body of ALLMIND. Either way it's Lana Neilsen (well played) all over again.
In ACE:R nineball got a huge upgrade and is shown more than capable of fighting in space without ground to stand on I think we got lucky it doesn’t exist in AC6
It's a not so subtle "Thanks for the combat data!" When she says that. I found it to be pretty cute since I had her pegged as the AI the second I saw the full ALLMIND parts and not being in the arena.
I finally equipped the first Laser Shotgun in my all-rounder AC build and used it in conjunction with my Moonlight blade and Aurora shoulder weapons for the first time against the enemies in this mission. Suffice to say, I'm astounded at the Laser Shottie's versatility and power, and I now consider my Full Moon build complete. Then I destroyed the Balteus mission in one go, Stealth Snipers surprising the sh#$ outta me with their ambush during the AC duel and all. This surprise 3v2 boss fight was a massive eye-opener for how far I and everyone else playing this game have come so far in AC6.
That shit surprised me the same way defend the dam had, however as soon as I heard Raven's theme I already knew the fight was about to get interesting.
I think Kate is just ALLMIND controlling the AC, they got the same voice and talk the same way at the end. Kate is kind and ALLMIND "kindly" asks you to go on the mission.
so from what i've put together, the real raven got jumped by the helicopter in the first mission and was presumed dead, then we show up with the callsign and start wrecking shit(probably doing the same things the real raven was) so they think raven is back, then we fight the cataphract and our data doesn't match so they start shitting bricks cause now there's two ravens that are both menaces and single handedly can push the PCA's shit in
Both Ravens could pretty easily wipe a PCA Fleet alone, though "Nightfall" Raven probably did something pretty awful before we came to Rubicon (i believe the CATAPHRACT mentioned something about a coral surge(?) being caused by NF Raven a long time ago). Edit: Apparently it's a leak, not a surge.

It is likely that Allmind fabricated the mission Branches took to do this, and Raven was a convenient scape-goat. Raven's death being faked suggests either that Allmind knew and didn't care because Allmind shot down the transport helicopter Raven's AC was on where we found it... or that Allmind did not bother to eliminate Raven and assumed the fake death was legitimate.

It makes sense Allmind is Kate, when you are doing the mission with destroying the helicopters with the coral, Kate never talk to Raven. Which is weird as other Allies do the same even when you don’t regroup with them.
The moment I noticed they introduced a brand new female pilot who's AC name is literally TRANSCRIBER I "knew" it was ALLMIND, especially when I noticed her actual AC in the background.
Maybe because we are harder to manipulate since we have Ayre and Walter as a social support network while Iguana is badly socially adjusted doesn't really seem to like anyone he's around? He literally picked a fight with Michigan first day on the job and got thrashed and from Volta's final words he still doesn't like Michigan.
I'd venture that Allmind does those calcs during the 'authentication' wait time. So, in the actual timeline it just takes a moment, and NG++ goes down from there. But to our omniscient perspective, we see Allminds projections of likely actions, if indeed they were projections. Walter doesn't comment on it taking an unusually long time or anything.
My headcanon is that the characters are stuck in some kind of time loop, and the only way to break the loop is the coral release. That singularity that formed just before the coral surged out to the stars, could've been part of breaking the loop, since those mess with spacetime.
I think the "Raven is dead" refer to the raven that we took the data log and call sign in the early mission. May be they are the one that defeated that raven

i believe its the enforcer you fight in the watchpoint alpha underground the lady voice seem to be same as the one on the space port raid and by deduction from the dialog we got from the spec ops pre ice worms launch it was enough for me to think that it was the ai that is in charge
A good detail I liked about the true ending was that the more AllMind deviated from “standard support system” to having her own goals and reactions, she constantly slipped into “Kate”’s voice. Almost as if the AI guardrails were failing and AllMind was becoming more human - destructively speaking - as it evolved. The biggest standout was the sudden break from AllMind to Kate when Walter fought back more than anticipated and was getting irritating for her: “your handler is a very capable pilot..” like you can hear her backhanded compliment tone.
Welll what I find more interesting is, and I know its because how targetlock and the AI works in this game, how Kate goes out of her way to frie the cockpits of the PCA Crafts after they are down, I mean we do to during boss encounters when the slow mo kicks in, more often than not Overkill our opposition
Kate must be a previous pilot that ALLMIND assimilated before we dont know how long ALLMIND has been planning this. As to where im getting this (SPOILERS) if you do the third ending and fight the boss iguazu get assimilated into ALLMIND albiet it was willingly. Im not 100% on this tho because ayre says (i believe after the mission) that she couldnt find any info on kate so either kate is ALLMIND or ALLMIND is using kate's voice and deleted any info about Kate. I cant tell if there are two voices being projected since they have very similar voices
I agree with this theory, seeing as Mind Beta is explicitly not an unpiloted AC but one designed to merge a human pilot with the machine as closely as possible. I think there’s a good chance ALLMIND was at least partially responsible for developing the synthetic coral data conduit used in augmentation gens 5-10, to that aim. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that said synthetic coral is ALLMIND colored and dispersed before the fight with her and Igauzu. Color theory goes a loooong way in Fromsoft games when it comes to lore.
I've just realized that this mission is why Ayre ask us, during the assault at the refuling station, if we ever crossed paths with the PCA I've always assumed it was the OG Raven (reinforced by the CATAPHRAT mission about the leak) but THIS is when we cross paths with the PCA for the "first" time (timeline wise) and maybe the leak was made by us (while in actually been made by ALLMIND) when we came across the arsenal again to investigate it for the RLF
It's pretty much confirmed that the "leak" mentioned in the Cataphract mission is the original leak about some coral being left on Rubicon even after the Fires of Ibis, which happened before 621 or presumably any of Walter's previous hounds even got to the planet

Remember, that helicopter you fight in the very beginning is also an PCA chopper. That’s the connection I made when she asked that question, that and the watchpoint
NG and NG+ she's scouting out the Coral vein they have hidden in the arsenal, second time around she is stopping the PCA from finding BAWS has Coral hidden in their arsenal. BAWS is open to trading with everyone but the RLF buys most of their equipment from them. El Cano eventually works with BAWS and they develop Rusty's Steel Haze Orthus just in time for RLF's final push as they are also heavily involved with the rubiconians which is what the data log in the NG/NG+ wreckage mentions on that mission. Most of the missions in NG++ involve ALLMIND trying to kill Raven before he makes contact with Ayre and afterwards they're all about stopping the corporations from reaching and controlling the Coral to achieve Coral Release with Raven+Ayre.
I mean he got show down by the tutorial boss. Joke's aside Raven fighting the PCA helicopter (likely along with other forces considering OG Raven destroys a whole shipyard by himself) would perfectly explain why the PCA helicopter in Xylem is much stronger. We get to fight a heli already damaged from taking down Nightfall.
@@arforafro5523 Considering the massive crater the Nightfall was in, I bet he did take down something, and it fell on him, and that's what took him out the fight, but as it wasn't a serious damage from weapons, Raven safely ejected out. The PCA must've thought he died as a result of this, but he just needed to get a new AC before coming back in play.

Why is there this assumption of 621 being disabled in some way? I find it fascinating, since it's hardly unusual to have a silent protagonist who doesn't diegetically (in-universe) have anything wrong with them. Iguazu has the same type of surgery, yet from descriptions of his background we know that he is able enough to exist outside his AC, and is partially depicted in an STV sketch doing so. What I mean is, the only evidence that 621 actually has anything wrong with him is by omission: we simply don't see -any- people depicted directly in this game. We should be wondering why the devs went out of their way to do that. I feel like it says something about us that so many latch onto the idea that 621 is meaningfully unable to do certain things. Doesn't it seem more likely that 621 is simply severed from those activities? More likely, and more upsetting: he never has a reason to leave the AC hangar unless it's for a mission--no reason to directly talk to anyone on Rubicon, and, most importantly to the game, no way to initiate something like this in a way that wouldn't be a random stab initiated by the game itself and not by any player input. As a character, though, if it feels like 621 has a lack of agency to actually strike out and form connections himself, I think it's probably a larger point about the position of the player, and the crossover of every gameplay interaction being first predicated on the transactional mercenary relation.
@@Kelvinian In the beginning of the game, Walter talks about making a lot of money, "Enough credits for a merc with a fried brain like you to buy back his life". Also in the final fight with him in the Liberator of Rubicon ending, he says, "You earned all the credits... undo the surgery... become normal again". We also know that augmentation surgery, especially earlier generations of it, can have serious side effects. All this, combined with 621 starting the game being woken up from some sort of suspended animation, implies that 621 is not really all there mentally. A skilled and reliable AC pilot, but not a fully functional human being.
@@Trelmayas21it's said in game by Walter that Gen 4's can be emotionally withdrawn at times. But in the Fires of Raven ending, Carla laughs and says that we're quite funny. So we know that 621 can talk and can have emotions, it's just sometimes they're withdrawn.
Everyone says that Kate is ALLMIND, but I prefer the idea that ALLMIND is Kate if you know what i mean. This entire time it's a woman pretending to be an AI in order to achieve her personal goals.
i disagree in the final boss fight iguazu said that he became a part of ALLMIND and that we killed him so the only explanation is that his consiousness is absorbed into the ai
A fun idea I had is that ALLMIND is actually a Coral person like Ayre. Kate is her real name, and she's interfacing with computers to give off the appearance of being an AI. There is no proof of this; other than it would give ALLMIND a motive for causing Coral Release.
Real Revan are actually dead? Hope not but they seem confident he dead some how maybe they group up abuse the real one before DLC should give us some answers about this
There are many Ravens. It is a group of people using the same name to operate. When you are in the mission that fight the Raven operator NIGHTFALL, you will see them talking to each other on com and all of them refer to another as Raven. There is no actual real Raven. We only found 1 dead, fought 1 of them then they decided to give us that name and watched our progress.

The PCA themselves use an AI system to make decisions for them, it is the female voice that says "the PCA makes no exceptions"

It's the enforcement system that you destroy in the depth 3 mission.

The biggest standout was the sudden break from AllMind to Kate when Walter fought back more than anticipated and was getting irritating for her: “your handler is a very capable pilot..” like you can hear her backhanded compliment tone.
Welll what I find more interesting is, and I know its because how targetlock and the AI works in this game, how Kate goes out of her way to frie the cockpits of the PCA Crafts after they are down, I mean we do to during boss encounters when the slow mo kicks in, more often than not Overkill our opposition
Kate must be a previous pilot that ALLMIND assimilated before we dont know how long ALLMIND has been planning this. As to where im getting this (SPOILERS) if you do the third ending and fight the boss iguazu get assimilated into ALLMIND albiet it was willingly. Im not 100% on this tho because ayre says (i believe after the mission) that she couldnt find any info on kate so either kate is ALLMIND or ALLMIND is using kate's voice and deleted any info about Kate. I cant tell if there are two voices being projected since they have very similar voices
I agree with this theory, seeing as Mind Beta is explicitly not an unpiloted AC but one designed to merge a human pilot with the machine as closely as possible. I think there’s a good chance ALLMIND was at least partially responsible for developing the synthetic coral data conduit used in augmentation gens 5-10, to that aim.
I don’t think it’s a coincidence that said synthetic coral is ALLMIND colored and dispersed before the fight with her and Igauzu. Color theory goes a loooong way in Fromsoft games when it comes to lore.

I've just realized that this mission is why Ayre ask us, during the assault at the refuling station, if we ever crossed paths with the PCA
I've always assumed it was the OG Raven (reinforced by the CATAPHRAT mission about the leak) but THIS is when we cross paths with the PCA for the "first" time (timeline wise) and maybe the leak was made by us (while in actually been made by ALLMIND) when we came across the arsenal again to investigate it for the RLF
It's pretty much confirmed that the "leak" mentioned in the Cataphract mission is the original leak about some coral being left on Rubicon even after the Fires of Ibis, which happened before 621 or presumably any of Walter's previous hounds even got to the planet
@@FblehIsn't the implication that Nightfall Raven was the one who put out the leak. Cataphract just accuses us since he initially thought we were the other Raven due to our callsign/stolen license.
@@marthofaltea1751 It wasn't just Raven, it was an entire conspiracy by Branch, the indipendent mercenary group. Along with the leak the closure system was hacked, which explains how the corporations were able to invade
@@marthofaltea1751 Yes and moreover, the original leak done by Nightfall eventually caused the corps to come back to Rubicon and they destroyed some of the lazer sattelites preventing people from entering orbit. And that's how walter is able to get 621 on the planet and get the game going.
Remember, that helicopter you fight in the very beginning is also an PCA chopper. That’s the connection I made when she asked that question, that and the watchpoint

Shutting it down is what. Its a coral well she took over. She wants no coral wasted for convergance
NG and NG+ she's scouting out the Coral vein they have hidden in the arsenal, second time around she is stopping the PCA from finding BAWS has Coral hidden in their arsenal. BAWS is open to trading with everyone but the RLF buys most of their equipment from them. El Cano eventually works with BAWS and they develop Rusty's Steel Haze Orthus just in time for RLF's final push as they are also heavily involved with the rubiconians which is what the data log in the NG/NG+ wreckage mentions on that mission.
Most of the missions in NG++ involve ALLMIND trying to kill Raven before he makes contact with Ayre and afterwards they're all about stopping the corporations from reaching and controlling the Coral to achieve Coral Release with Raven+Ayre.

Joke's aside Raven fighting the PCA helicopter (likely along with other forces considering OG Raven destroys a whole shipyard by himself) would perfectly explain why the PCA helicopter in Xylem is much stronger. We get to fight a heli already damaged from taking down Nightfall.
@@arforafro5523 Considering the massive crater the Nightfall was in, I bet he did take down something, and it fell on him, and that's what took him out the fight, but as it wasn't a serious damage from weapons, Raven safely ejected out. The PCA must've thought he died as a result of this, but he just needed to get a new AC before coming back in play.
@@arforafro5523 The Nightfall wreck in the starting mission is mix in with a transport helicopter's wreck. The same kind we use to get around. I'm fairly sure the original Raven was shot down in transit.

@@justasimplegamer129 Where is it stated that most patients are mute? I know we never hear 621 speak, but they must be capable of speaking because Walter says "You said you were hearing a voice in your head?" after we kill Balteus.
Why is there this assumption of 621 being disabled in some way? I find it fascinating, since it's hardly unusual to have a silent protagonist who doesn't diegetically (in-universe) have anything wrong with them. Iguazu has the same type of surgery, yet from descriptions of his background we know that he is able enough to exist outside his AC, and is partially depicted in an STV sketch doing so. What I mean is, the only evidence that 621 actually has anything wrong with him is by omission: we simply don't see -any- people depicted directly in this game. We should be wondering why the devs went out of their way to do that.
I feel like it says something about us that so many latch onto the idea that 621 is meaningfully unable to do certain things. Doesn't it seem more likely that 621 is simply severed from those activities? More likely, and more upsetting: he never has a reason to leave the AC hangar unless it's for a mission--no reason to directly talk to anyone on Rubicon, and, most importantly to the game, no way to initiate something like this in a way that wouldn't be a random stab initiated by the game itself and not by any player input. As a character, though, if it feels like 621 has a lack of agency to actually strike out and form connections himself, I think it's probably a larger point about the position of the player, and the crossover of every gameplay interaction being first predicated on the transactional mercenary relation.
@@Kelvinian In the beginning of the game, Walter talks about making a lot of money, "Enough credits for a merc with a fried brain like you to buy back his life". Also in the final fight with him in the Liberator of Rubicon ending, he says, "You earned all the credits... undo the surgery... become normal again". We also know that augmentation surgery, especially earlier generations of it, can have serious side effects. All this, combined with 621 starting the game being woken up from some sort of suspended animation, implies that 621 is not really all there mentally. A skilled and reliable AC pilot, but not a fully functional human being.
@@Trelmayas21it's said in game by Walter that Gen 4's can be emotionally withdrawn at times. But in the Fires of Raven ending, Carla laughs and says that we're quite funny. So we know that 621 can talk and can have emotions, it's just sometimes they're withdrawn.
I wonder if Kate was ever a real person in the past. One that got assimilated into ALLMIND like G5 Iguana nearly did.

Everyone says that Kate is ALLMIND, but I prefer the idea that ALLMIND is Kate if you know what i mean. This entire time it's a woman pretending to be an AI in order to achieve her personal goals.
i disagree in the final boss fight iguazu said that he became a part of ALLMIND and that we killed him so the only explanation is that his consiousness is absorbed into the ai

A fun idea I had is that ALLMIND is actually a Coral person like Ayre. Kate is her real name, and she's interfacing with computers to give off the appearance of being an AI. There is no proof of this; other than it would give ALLMIND a motive for causing Coral Release.

There’s a mission where you fight the actual raven
There are many Ravens. It is a group of people using the same name to operate. When you are in the mission that fight the Raven operator NIGHTFALL, you will see them talking to each other on com and all of them refer to another as Raven. There is no actual real Raven. We only found 1 dead, fought 1 of them then they decided to give us that name and watched our progress.
