In the french streaming community, calling Etoile for help on any sort of trivia quiz is considered a cheat code.
Finally, someone catches onto Lud claiming Battleship is a neutral game despite his experience
I mean it is battleship as long as you know how the abilities work its pretty much luck based
Valo and human benchmark were both scams tho, they're the same rank valo should have been neutral and luds done the human benchmark enough to have an advantage as well as being a very fast typist compared to like 90% of people. More importantly the english typing in this case though

@@JadeRavenn The only thing in HB he had an advantage in was typing in English. Human Benchmark does not need experience. It is the most simple stuff imaginable and explains exactly what needs to be done.

I don't watch Etoiles's stream much, but I remember a few years ago when he started Geoguessr. He played with other (french) streamers, and one of them (Jussetain, if I recall correctly) guessed Estonia while other failed massively. When asked how he guessed, he told that he saw some white flowers and already have seen them in Estonia before. Everyone was so shocked it became a meme.
I can barely remember anything about the stream, who won, what happened, but this "white flower in Estonia" thing, it's still haunting me.
At first I was unsure what to think of Etoiles but god this guy is so loveable, I really enjoy when him and Lud interact

I have something on my mind and heart that I need to share, about Etoiles but also about the whole internet culture I grew up in.
As a kid of the internet/youtube/streaming culture who grew up in France but who watched as much international English speaking CZcamsrs as French ones, there's such a strong, almost emotional feeling I get when seeing someone like Etoiles, who I've been following for years now, crossing borders and being recognized internationally.
You have to understand that for most of CZcams and JustinTV/Twitch's existence, the French community has always been pretty much on its own, with almost no crossovers with international audiences.
I mean I probably started watching CZcams when I was 12yo, and started watching English-speaking content at 14, and yet, being 27yo now, for the most part of those last 15 years, there's been very few links between big English-speaking youtubers and big French youtubers, and as a watcher of both it has always been kind of a bummer to me.
But for the last year (and in big part thanks to QSMP/Quackity), seeing the whole (english-speaking) world being exposed to some of the great internet stars of my country, those same people who I grew up watching all those years, it just feels so special, and really wholesome.
It really feels like the start of a new something, and I also really hope it'll encourage more young people in France to learn English, cause there's just so much great stuff, art, and cultures, that you're missing out when you don't speak English...
TL;DR: This whole situation of French streamers being recognized worldwide is wholesome.
Same story here, my friend. Started watching English content when I was 15 and there was no interaction between languages, especially in the French community. It's refreshing and so so fun to see this kind of crossover.

I love how somehow luddle was a double scam. Because not only is it an entire game based on luds videos. But because of the fact Etoiles was past midnight he had different thumbnails where there weren't dated tweets and a literal fucking christmas tree.
