Queens Hatching

- An unprepared filming of a couple of queens hatching. Was going through
hives, found this one in swarm mode with queens on the verge of coming
out of their cells. So I set the frame up on the running board of my
truck and tried to hold camera with one hand and help queens with the
other. No time to get properly prepared, but thought it still had some
stuff worth seeing.
So many are commenting on his dirty nails, but having a dirty hands clearly you have clean money... Good job on your work
Working man's hands:)

Dirty nails??? Mine are a million times worse and I don’t even work

** Pick her up **
-- Me: Wait, what
I always wonder about how you get a queen,,thank you for showing and your hands and nails belongs to a hard working guy. 👍
2nd queen emerging: "She's wanting out pretty bad." I would think so - you know since her own cell was already cracked she had to smell the first queen emerge - and so she knew her own life was in imminent danger. The cells were side by side! So awesome to watch, he was so careful! I would not try that myself (I have not handled bees yet), but he had a frame full of queen cells, so it was do nothing = lose all but one. If he tried and succeeded he saved a queen. Worth the risk, obviously. Good job!
As for the nails: people, do think. If he nicked her - she was dead - the bees would kill a damaged queen. No time for the dirt under his nails to cause an infection to kill her. And no time to waste if he was to save a queen. He managed to save TWO.
I think it’s so cool that the rest of the bees try to help the queen out of the cell!
Until you find out they kill the other queens when they get out.
Bees are pretty intelligent lil guys. :) I hate it when people try and come up with excuses as why they *shouldn’t* be intelligent, when really, they might as well be smarter than us!

I love Honey Bees, beautiful little creatures.
verry nice see in my channel
Great save, great vid. You timed that hatch perfectly.
They look cute. Not gonna say about hornets n wasps
2nd queen was like help I’m stuck then they came to help.. wow that was awesome..
Wonderful! Glad you filmed this for us, thankyou.
What’s more suitable title for this fella???
‘Royal kidnapper’
Or
‘Queens trafficker’?????
More like queen saver. If he'd left them both in the hive, they'd fight to the death and then the victor would go kill that third queen that was still in her cell.
Ben Dova a Royal Kidnapper
This is so cute!!! I Love bees!!!
I think their wasps :/
:D :D They are honey bees. 😊
BEES CAN GIVE YOU A DISEASE OR SOMETHING. THEY DANGEROUS

Who knew matthew mcconaughey kept bees
Right?! I came here looking for someone else who thought this!!
Alright. Alright.
Wow, the bees must really trust you.
thanks for teaching us sir Arvin...
Wow! That was great!
Oh myyy... These baby bees are so.. So.. SO FREAKING TINY!! OH MY..!
Awesome! Thanks for sharing!
awesome job bro.love it
So cool! I've never seen this before!
Bees are so cute😍❣️
Normally I'd be covered by bees right now.
when you pause the video but still hear bees buzzing
thie guy:*filming the queen*
the queen and the other bees: we will let you but don't hurt our queen
The second queen is like "you better get me out of here you idiots!"
great video! thanks! I have a queen less hive that has several queens cells about to hatch out. My question is ...it is july already and was wondering if there are many drones still around for her to mate with. Are they likely to
mate this late in the year? Not seeing them in the hive. I am in Texas. thanks! thumbs up!
Drones are not evicted until Winter is imminent - and she wont be mating with drones from her own colony anyway. If you only had a few hives - she would be flying away looking a drone congregation area. If it had been almost winter then you still had no choice but to let her try to mate: she was all that hive had to get them through winter. Your first frame with eggs on it - you would have to put in her colony (if they survived) to allow them to requeen themselves. That queen would also not have much luck mating, so you would have to do it again after which they would have been ok. Or you could just buy a mated queen.
Cool video!
Very cool!!
Thank you master
Wow I'm surprised they are not stinging
Just wondering what you mean put her up when you take the queens away, are you putting them with different hives and can beehives have more than one queen?
+Ben Culleton U can use a single Queen to start a new hive. So thats what alot of people do that own Bee Hive farms. Or sell them 2 someone that is staring a new hive
usually 1 queen per hive. you will also need bees to start new hive... queen alone cant even feed herself.
One bee per hive if there are two the will fight until one is dead
But doesn’t she need to be mated first before a hive can be started?
For a sec I tought all the bees would sting ya
But nvm
We have Asian honey bees in our backyard. Their queens are little bit darker in color.
Having several queen cells and one hatches first the queen will kill the other queens before they hatch
no rarely... 90%+ would be if she got out of the hive got fertilized and then come back in...then she will kill...but only if the worker dont do it for some reason
Bees when they see a man near a Queens hatch: This is a suicide mission..
Thank you..👍
This was oddly satisfying
Anyone hate bees but think this is sooo cute? 🐝🐝
When the hive is making queens, does that mean the bees intend to split the hive? Or that somethings wrong with the current Queen?
Georgios Vasileiadis I see. How would a beekeeper make sure they aren’t depriving the hive of a replacement Queen? Like, would the keeper split the hive on their own and install a boxed queen, or install a boxed queen to a hive where the old queen was injured/killed/nonproductive? Or just leave some of the queens in the hive and leave it to the workers?
What do you do with the virgin queens once you have captured them?
Man, nature is so beautiful...
Beyoncé is hatching!!!
Rylan Monkey129 for real
T H I C C
Rylan Monkey129 that chick who promoted blm just to get some fame
trillary c To GET fame? Don't you mean to FURTHER her fame? BLM emerged after Trayvon Martin's death. Beyonce had fame a decade before that :/. Please insult the Queen correctly, sir
trillary c damn you bitter huh? sad.
support your Channel my friends
omg she was trying to attack the other queen bee that wasn't out yet
ToxicMethods that’s what they do. There can only be one queen per hive, the first to hatch kills any other developing queens.
where? the only bees I saw around the new queen were drones trying to help her get out...
They weren't drones.
In my head I’m thinking why aren’t they attacking. Maybe he’s gentile enough the bees aren’t stressed or maybe he is the gentle giant they trust. What’s the real truth? Fascinating he just casually grabs them.
These two queens immediately fought to the death.
I'm serious.
TheNewStyle no they didn't they never even met each other
TheNewStyle Pretty sure he wants them alive so he kept them apart.
It's how they do it,If the other queens are not born,They will kill them and, Pretty much do a battle cry.
TheNewStyle then how?
@@labratiam1 unless you separate them
Pretty 😍 queen 👑 Bee 🐝.
Man made 300 bucks because 150 per queen on a good day.
Not that much.
25 each
Very cool
I like bees too!
very cute bees...
So they gonna be new queen or?
You can hear the bees getting pissed at you. You should RUN. LMBO
They are not africanized
How do you know the difference between the queen cell and the worker and/or drone cell?
It's in an encapsulated cell to develop. The rest are just kept in regular smaller cells
this is uncomfortable when he picks them up
Hi guys, i have two questions. 1) I have a langstroth beehive (vertical) it has three floors. I have a queen grid but i don't want to use it inside maybe the grid should be disturb the bees. Which floor or floors put the eggs by queen and which floor is honey storage 2) I don't want to give to the bees sugar, i want bees eat their own honey; i wonder that it's possible. The weather is -10 in winter here. Maybe the honey get freeze and they can't eat. Can the bees feed their own cristalize honey in cold wheters. Is it necesseary to give them sugar with water. Thanks for the answers.
How does one grab bees bees and hold them without injuring or killing them?
How many queens can you have in one box??
these are big bees wow lol I'm watching the bee movie
This is a really dumb question, but can the qween sting only once or can she sting repeatedly?
Punkrock dog I've been told more than once
+Punkrock dog (Shihtzu Princess) The queen cannot sting! That area of her body is adapted to egg-laying rather than stinging :)
*****Please see correction below*******
FlyRenegade :O weird
+FlyRenegade
In fact the queen can sting as many times as she wants, but normally she only stings other queens to death.
It is the drones (males) which don't sting.
The queen bee has a straight stinger which allows her to sting as much as she wants. However they very rarely sting anything other than other queens. Drones (male bees) have no stingers. Worker bees have a hook like stinger which causes it to become stuck and get pulled out of the bee as it flies away. Thats why workers can only sting once and die afterwards.
Maybe adverse affects of helping her 'out', over her peers helping her...kind of like a butterfly, who NEEDS to struggle to get out or be impaired forever.
so by getting a new queen you can start a new colony ? do you need many workers with her and how much?
depends on time of year. early spring one frame of brood and one frame with polen and honey might be enough oh and bees of frames too...
Hay lắm đó
So what happens if there’s two queens in the hive, do the bees kill their least favorite one?
ShakobaChloe no the queen bees end up fighting to the death or whoever came out first kills the rest of the developing queen bees
That mean grabbing them when there just born
If he didn't grab the newly emerged queen bees the other ones would kill them
*they're

^ It's a dirty job, but someone's gotta do it.
What would you do?
This guy's balls are huge , he just grabbed the queen like no big deal. I would have screamed and ran the other direction

***** Queen bees only use their stingers to sting other queens.
no. queens and drones dont sting
🇹🇷👍👍👍
I hope you realize you're like a hero to people deathly afraid of bee stings but thinks bees are really cool too. Just casually captures two queens out of a hive, no big deal.
so now u got her what do u do with her ?
You can sell them.
Wtf.... We'll you can. But I think he starts a new colony with a new box.
put her in a hive with no queen
Nature captured on vedio. So what do you do with the virgin queens?
put them in new hive and than leave then alone for few days so they will mate with drones and start laying eggs
He pops their cherries that why his hive doesnt reject him
In which season does the bee hatch queen
Hey, generally speaking it's around Spring time, they make new Queens in anticipation of swarming when the colony gets crowded.
Can someone tell me why he took the new queens rather than let them go about the natural process?

How come the bees don't sting you
there tame
+sirastation aj Idiot. Queens can sting as well as the worker bees. They didn't sting as they are probably bred to be calm and they have better things to do anyway.

sirastation aj they're* tamed*
He’s not trying to swat them or step on them.
How do they not sting him.
