UMI QA1 CHEVELLE CONVERTIBLE RUCCI
I just replaced my suspension with UMI control arms and Aldan coilovers on my 72 Chevelle. Worked on it all night. Still need to get the ride height adjusted...looks cool sitting in the weeds but wouldnt be practical. I didnt see anything from Aldan about where to set the bottom nut so I set it about an inch from the bottom, which turned out to be way too low.
Passenger side was pretty straight forward...the lower arm on the driver side was giving me fits..couldnt get both sides in far enough to get the bolts in...had to use a jack and judicious hammering.
Absolutely loved these videos. I like how you take time to show the parts and explain why. Definitely helped me on my front suspension on my chevelle......THANK YOU!!!! YOU JUST GOT A SUBSCRIBER. KEEP THE VIDEOS COMING
Thanks and welcome to the shop.
Now I know why my Sway bar been driving me crazy. I'm thinking I have the same issue. It was insane installing.
Glad it helped. Keeping watching and subscribe please.
The spindles need some paint to protect from rusting
Thanks for watching.
How much of a difference did the UMI tubulars improve over your stock handing? Looking to do the same upgrade. Nice ride!!
Huge difference. My personal chevelle has all new stock suspension and the difference is night and day. The components are expensive but well worth the money.
@@whiteoneauto Thanks for the feedback! The old bushings are blown out. 12:7:1 steering box to go with it?
