Appreciate this in-depth analysis and review and commentary on thst game that i bought solely for the front mission lore but never played after reading just a few reviews of it. I might go for it after your review just to experience it myself
it cant be that bad ofter reading the steam reviews, also i think it was compared to MGSV back in the day. Might give it a try after this video just because i wont expect a stealth game ( the back shots move)

I don't know enough about the Front Mission universe to know that there aren't psychics in it. So maybe psychic powers could be at play?
I think it was just the writing team having what little fun they could with the setting. The civvie stories are like a mixed bag of reinforcing the horrors of war on bystanders as well as some light shitposting when dealing with certain personalities in a hostile territory.

if the ai behaviour were better I think people would have been more positive with it, but it's janky in an annoying way
