  • We have been fortunate enough to have adopted a family here, and they have welcomed us to their home of Hartlepool. This is where we spent our quarantine, and where we have visited on prior travels to England.
In this vlog, we are released from quarantine, and will show you the town, even though museums, churches, and more aren't open. We hope you enjoy the history and rugged beauty this seaside town offers as much as we do!

I hoped you had a lovely time in Hartlepool, thank you for highlighting some places worth visiting, even if they are currently closed! I have always joked that Americans would kill for some the historic buildings we have like Old Wesley Methodist, Best Western Grand Hotel and Hillcarter Hotel (built in 1800s) which are all boarded up and left to fall apart, it's such a shame. Safe travels!

I started 6 years ago a search for my familie as my family in Belgium lost contact for more thans 70 years. 4 years ago I met my whole family in Hartlepool fot the frist time. The whole sarah was publieke in the Hartlepool Mail. Marc

Plus a note of positivity, please - they were so warm and non-critical of our town. Shouldn’t that be celebrated?

I love it when Americans go to places other than London , York, Stratford-on-avon etc.
Old Hartlepool Headland is an interesting place. Hartlepool has 2 unique things, monkey hanging and black tar houses.
I will watch all your other British videos next.
I notice your Hartlepool video has more comments than any of your other videos (so far).

Lol! We love Monkey Hangers. Being from Southern California, with the water temps in the high 60s to low 70s ('F), we're used to having the sun warm us when we get out. We're not against giving it a go here, but it's at least got to be a warmer summer day for us wimps! :D

The sandstone at the bottom of the wall is from the Franciscan friary retaining wall built 1239 ... you should have looked at the mansion house it was built from the stone from the friary when Henry VIII ordered the dissolution of the monasteries in the 1530s 👍🏻

It's like when we go to Scarborough say (as an example ) we would find it fascinating
