I actually liked Nellie and Percivle more than Laura and Almonzo. You could tell the pair really liked eachother. They had some great scenes together.

Agreed. Laura just never seemed happy for more than a few moments at a time. My favourite actress was Mrs Olson for sure. Its a shame the actor playing Perivale died so young.
@@Ethericrose Alison Arngrim (Nellie) and Steve Tracy (Percival) had also a great chemistry in real life. When Tracy died from AIDS, Arngrim started explaining the disease to people and creating some more tolerance.

But dressed like a little girl far beyond the time when it was appropriate; young women her age (I assume she's somewhere between 17 und 19 here) would not have worn such bows in their hair, let alone such big ones; they would have had their hair done up in a knot. It'sy only after Nellie ,moved away from Walnut Grove (and her mother) that she started wearing more adult hairstyles, but then they went totally the other way and made her look like her own grandmother.

@@laurencelevene4333 Well, I think it's symbolic, that she sort of stayed a child as long as she was near her mother, and truly came into her own when she followed Percival to New York. I'M just saying this because I remember in ine of the original Little House books a scene is described where Nellie Oleson comes to school in far too fashionable clothes and her hair tied into a French not - I think it was By The Shores of Silver Lake, but I could be wrong.
@@christianealshut1123 . Yes, I'm sure it is symbolic. I will have to read the books someday, as I really enjoyed the TV show, though sometimes a book can be quite different from how it is portrayed on TV
