It does indeed feel like 2000 was the final year of true escapism in movies and a lot of stuff from that year wouldn't be made now, e.g. this movie, Charlie's Angels (2019 one is VERY different), heck even something like MI2 due to the plane crash it has.

There was an innocence to the 80's and 90's that I really miss --- people weren't afraid all the time, or full of hate --- we laughed and loved a lot back then
@@fredwerza3478There were things that were screwed up about those times as well, and there are people whose been awesome in the 2000s and beyond that as well. Also, John Travolta's personality changed from the 1980s to later on. Look at how he acted in movies from the 1980s, to how much more of a chill person he was in movies from the 1990s after that.

And you wonder why America keeps losing its jobs to foreign workers and American products specifically in the automotive section has lost its shine 😂 As a guy who had been to Japan and saw the discipline, artisan approach, attention to detail and immense pride they take in going about their job, any job, no wonder they're a global economic force. Imagine if they had the land mass and the resources of the US.
