I know the engineer who designed the silent tail rotor for that helicopter, it was designed specifically for this mission with orders from the Pentagon, "we don't care how much it costs, just get it to us ASAP" Your mission was carried out a year and a half later. This was designed at SRI.

@@noway57 it was in August 2010, U.S. intelligence agencies developed information that Osama bin Laden was likely living in a compound in northern Pakistan. On May 2, 2011, they raided the compound and killed bin Laden.
Hearing seal team 6 say, "I'm just watching cool guys" is madness. Who ever "they" were is no joke.

I am from NY and one of my brothers worked at the Trade Center but was still at his Brooklyn apartment when 9/11 occurred. I was at a military airbase in Germany. Thank you sir for a mission well done.

This guy is actually a crazy killer he does not live the life ”normal” people live, there’s no way. He is so intense and even after 2 minutes he stuttered and said ”let’s take a break now”. It’s because his mind goes crazy and super fast from the PTSD fighting crazy gun fights and surviving them, that’s REAL crazy experience to live. After one you’ll be different kind of person. These who are still this intense from the PTSD is crazy rare, he is still in full control of his mind but still super intense.
Edit. He almost cried at 1:32 when he got into the first action of the gunfight. This real trauma holy shit
there has been several team guys come out and say the real shooter will never come forward but the government needed the story to be told to bring people together so they picked the one guy who never shuts up to tell the story, because the other guy was or still is in the military. Either way, cool story.

from all accounts I've read, Rob was there, and so was the other guy who claimed to kill bin laden, and that they both did shoot bin laden, but that it was the one man who killed him, and yea, that guy hasn't come forward. From what I've read, Rob was 2, the first guy who came out (who is the main guy behind the tv show Seal Team now) was the third guy in the room, and that a few other seals put rounds in OBL. 1 put him down, and everyone else hit him as they came in the room.

I’ve always believed-if Rob in fact wasn’t the shooter-that the real shooter wanted to remain anonymous and live a quiet life so shooter and rob made a deal. Rob goes and does his thing, tells the story, makes the money, splits it with shooter, and they both live on.

Listened to Dale Comstock Delta guy he dispels the story that Rob shot him no idea how he would have that info. He said a Sr chief shot him and Rob threw in coup de gras shots. He said Sr Chief did not want anyone ID ing him as the shooter. Could be inter service nonsense it’s the internet who knows. My take every guy on that mission have balls of steel no matter what. Incredible men that knew going in it might be a suicide mission faced huge adversity w chopper going down pulled it of flawlessly. Kudos to Rob I could listen to him all day great storyteller!🇺🇸🇺🇸
Well said. I think it’s pathetic people want to downplay his role. He was one of 2 dozen guys who were there. The only army involved were the pilots and I assure you they didn’t see it happen.

I was, but I get dox explaining what I did it to graphic.. act like robert got lucky cuz the point man was reacting to being covered in blood after a juice of a head shot raining on you as he surrender.. that's when somebody else shot Osama Bin Laden.. at the different of a war crime.. when others agreed to shoot, the point man would a shot the double Usama Bin Laden 😂 and suffered a magazine to the chest after disarm the females in the hall way saving they lifes.. and after answering with a knife to the heart shot in the head because of last of life struggles.. all of it is graphic
Aside from the taking of the compound, smoking Bin Laden, that 90 min bird flight back across the border, talk about a pucker factor. Those are a different type of men there.

5:10 the point-man most likely said, "Khalid! Raise your hands (in Arabic). (Then switching to Pashto) Come here." KBL, being confused as to why the guy broke his command into two different languages (which have no correlation to one another), stuck his head out and got shot.
The words in Arabic were probably, "Khalid, irfaa aydeek." Rob O' Neil landed the Pashto perfectly, oddly enough (kinda impressive, not gonna lie) 😂

I dont know what I watched in the past but there are account of how they actually tracked down bin Ladin in the first place. I have a feeling the girl may have been someone who was at the house that they “turned” and was spilling the beans, a lot of info they got about him or where to find the people who are around him came out of gitmo from what I understand. And if I’m not mistaken it is a story about one of his couriers being singled out by someone at gitmo and they watched him listened to his phone calls and followed him and it lead them to that location but took them a long time to figure out what was at the compound, they burnt their trash and never went outside the compound, they had chickens and all kinds of stuff, there are some really good accounts of what happened and how the intel chain worked. It’s scary as shit to think tho that these guys thought they had it figured out and had a good system and never once saw it coming tho that’s just how good they can be sometimes at finding people.

Okay hear me out. But there’s no way this guy isn’t mentally destroyed by this. I have family members whose mental health was ruined by the military. So I’ve been really interested in the topic. Because of how complex and nuanced the emotions of people in our armed forces must. I mean he served justice and brought closure to our country. But at the same time he completely traumatized a child. Who as he said “has nothing to do with this” and he comes and is regarded as hero and one of the most respected people in the country. Yet he knows that a child is now mentally ruined. Now I truly believe he is a war hero but it’s definitely something to think about
