Thanks for offering another island option for your audience… just let these beautiful frames do the talk 🥰🥰🥰 Bali & Phuket are so much different in terms of vibes, prices, history… but Phu Quoc does not need to be the same like them 🫶🏽
Another great vlog! We've been to Vietnam, but not to this amazing place, simply beautiful!! The Penthouse is the one for us. We thought Halong bay was beautiful, this place, WOW! Added bonus, we're Accor members as well... Definitely on the bucket list and thank you for sharing and we love your homeland!!
I would not recommend travelling in July, we went mid July 2023 to celebrate a milestone birthday and spent majority of our trip in lockdown due to a cyclone. This included not being allowed to use our pool villa, too dangerous. It is a small island and although we didn’t get to see much the one day we could travel we went to a fishing village for lunch and the seafood was sublime. Best we had on our trip. Also we stayed in a 5 star resort and were extremely disappointed in the lack of Vietnamese cruisine on offer. I don’t travel overseas to get western food I make at home. For what we did see briefly the island looked interesting but we only got out for half a day in a 10 day trip.
Hi @traveltheme706, that’s true! Especially if you prefer a quiet, calm place. Nonetheless, Bali is still the place to go if you like wild parties 😂 unfortunately not my kind of travel
Greetings from Australia and nice video Dave. I think the room rate is very high for Vietmamse standard but on booking web sites the rate is cheaper in December for 3 nights for 2 adults. Anyway, keep up the good work mate
Hello there, yes a Standard King Bed room starts from around AU$120-130 per night/2 adults but I booked the most expensive room (for a treat 😅) hence the high price. But you get everything mentioned, just without the room.
@@davedotravel Thanks mate, looking forward to see more videos of Vietname in the near future. Please include links to hotels, transport, tour guides, shopping malls etc
@@stevepollard2169 thank you Steve! Appreciate Ronny’s and your inputs, will keep that in mind for future videos. Just for your information, the buffet breakfast is included in all room rates and lunch/dinner menu starts from US$5 to US$10.

Hi Gavin, thank you so much for your comment! It's definitely very nice, if you ever plan on going, November to April of next year is the best time to go to Phu Quoc (dry and sunny). And you're welcome 😍😍
You'll be surprised, as you can see from my video there are plenty more resorts like this. This beach (and many others) beat FIji's beaches by a mile. And costs a fraction of the price.
Hi Dave, thank you for the information. Very nicely presented. The weather looks great, although I assume there's a fair bit of rain.. being rainy season? Can you kindly share your experience weather-wise in Phu Quoc during your stay? Thnks!
Hi there, I went during April 2024 and there was no rain at all. In fact, Phu Quoc’s rainy season is May to early October with July the heaviest. November to late April is the best time to go
@@alexsalamah7140 Hi Alex, in December the daily high can reach 30+ Celsius, so bring plenty of shorts and tees. For food, comfortable eating is 40USD per person (assume you get free breakfast at the hotel). Local dishes are really cheap, seafood might be a bit pricier.
It is EXTREMELY SAFE as there are very strict gun laws, no threats of terrorism and friendly and hospitable locals. Just need to be generally aware of your surrounding!
