Onks Woodwind intensifies the Southern Oboe Intensive oboe camp!

Onks Woodwind was honored to speak at the Southern Oboe Intensive oboe camp on Thursday, July 11th, 2019. There were approximately 44 camp participants this year of all skill levels, with organizer Julie Grasso owner of Double or Nothing Double Reeds. The camps powerhouse faculty includes Jim Sullivan of the Alabama Symphony, Russ DeLuna of the San Fransisco Symphony and Phil Ross of the St. Louis Symphony!
Jason presented a maintenance clinic which included many ideas and thoughts on how the participants can prevent damage to their oboes which will keep them out of the shop for longer periods of time. They also discussed when it is appropriate to visit the repair shop!
After the clinic and lunch, Nick and Jason set down and got to work. Many of the participants and faculty brought their oboes by so the Onks Team could make adjustments. Jason and Nick were exhausted by the end of the day, but had an amazing time serving the camp participants!
