The body double had the advantage of stitching together several pirouettes and a man doing some of the break dance moves (which was a bit weird imho). Your routine was fantastic. I'm 47 and watched Flashdance so many damn times I wished I was a dancer. Ha ha. Good job.
I think the stunt double was blondish hair dancer in the movie and who was in Dirty Dancing ( Cynthia Rhodes) played Patrick Swayze's character female friend and dance partner also was in Staying Alive , Married to singer Richard Marx ❤)
Hopefully this is a tribute. Just found out about the passing of Irene Cara Always hoped she would get a revival in her career, but never seemed to get there. But thank you for this.

Jennifer Beals was the actress in the movie, but she did little of the dancing. The main dancer was Ms Marine Jahan (a woman). Essentially, Jennifer and Marine combined their respective talents to produce the movie character 'Alex'. The dance audition routine at the end of the movie includes a few seconds of breakdance moves by male dancer Richard Colón (aka Crazy Legs), and an 'air dive' by professional gymnast Sharon Shapiro ( another woman).

This is VERY DIFFICULT actually! GREAT JOB! My Momma in heaven says so too!🥲She passed back in 2010 & this was one of her all time favorite’s, she taught aerobics back in 1989/1990 & I think she had a little training from Irene at one point. We loved this, & u were fantastic!👏

When you said it was harder than it looked, I wondered if it was because you were going to include the breakdance back spin (not sure what the name of the move is), because I remember reading that they had to get a skinny guy in a wig to do that since Jennifer Beals' female dance double couldn't quite master that move. Cool piece of trivia. If I hadn't read it, I never would have guessed that part of the dance was a guy.

The girl who played doubler in this movie was a proffesional fitnes dancer so you did a pretty good job but I must say if you were 1foot shorter there would be much more energy in your moves although you did all of them.
She did well despite attempting to imitate the MALE puerto-rican dancer that was hired to dance the most complicated moves in the dance. Jennifer Beals could not perform the moves.
