北海道看紅葉，2023 最佳時機是10月下旬至11月中旬。十月中旬可能有點早了，在札幌近郊看紅葉，絕佳景點推介惠庭溪谷之瀑布群。駕車自札幌市或新千歲機場出發，亦只需約五十分鐘。
其中白扇の滝 （Hakusen Falls）〜瀑布高15米，寬18米，形狀像散開的白扇子。在北海道的河谷及瀑布美景類排名第6位。是惠庭溪谷的第一名勝；拉爾馬奈瀑布 （Ralmanai Falls) ，日文：ラルマナイの滝，面積不算大，但瀑布水流澎湃，與紅葉相映成趣，令人驚艷。另一名為「三段の滝」的瀑布因時間太趕則尚未探訪。當日亦到了第三個紅葉景點，是位於札幌以南16公里30分鐘車程、1986年與札幌美術館並立的「札幌藝術之森」，感受藝術與大自然紅葉融為一體的情調。
The best time for Autumn foliage in Hokkaido in 2023 is from late October to mid-November. While we were there in mid-October, getting to the perfect full blossom foliage view was a bit of a stretch. Yes, we were too early. We finally went to the waterfalls in Eniwa Valley in the suburbs of Sapporo, which takes only 50 minutes by car from Sapporo city centre or New Chitose Airport.
A visit to the Hakusen and Ralmanai Falls of the Eniwa Vallery, enjoying the picturesque autumn colours, completely energizes us for further adventure. We then headed to the Sapporo Art Park, 30 minutes south of Sapporo city centre and submerged ourselves in the beauty and tranquillity merging man-made sculptures and mother nature.
