Cheers for the upload, brought back some memories. It was a great time to be a Geordie back then the town was buzzing every Saturday.

Keegan did one HELL of a job at Newcastle ... and as a Liverpool fan I always thought we should have gone for him as manager after Souness left. Even though there's a good chance he would have turned us down.
He had an eye for a great signing ... seemed to be able to REALLY motivate his players, and could maintain a top work ethic across a long season.
He lost his way badly by the end, and let mind games get the better of him during his time in the Premier League, but Newcastle started a new era the moment he walked through the door, when they could have very easily slipped away into the lower league abyss ...

He came home. He was hounded out by both Hall and Ashley.
Shearer signed for us because of Keegan.

Great stuff. I remember hearing the news at school. It was an amazing day. I always felt a bit sorry for Ossie, a good man who had the team playing nice football, but had a very young and inexperienced side - over half the team were in their teens, but the likes of Lee Clark, Steve Watson, Alan Thompson, Steve Howey, Alun Armstrong went on to have very good careers.

Not sure why this is popping up. I understand you're trying to bring it back. KK is near and dear to my heart. What Ashley did to him in 2008 absolutely broke my heart. What Ashley did to Shearer after that questioned my allegiance. I almost quit being a football supporter in 2009. Ashley an absolutely horrible human being.

Ardiles treatment was disgusting, he tried his best but (as always with the toon) the chairman gave him the worst send off ever? As a Geordie I apologize to Ossie, Keegan was a legend shame about the mullet? Ha!!

He did win something. He won the upmost respect from every single Newcastle fan on the planet. He had us fighting for the premier league title. That's something that cant be sniffed at considering how poor we had been. I'm guessing your a Sunderland fan are you? If so, can you remember how youse lot went on over Roy Keane taking Sunderland up? Well imagine if he had done that, and then had you battling at the very top of the league and playing the best football I had ever seen at that point in my life.
