The people in the reddit comments who were acting like George is incredibly mentally unstable were obviously taking it way too far, and obviously none of us know George irl, however in fairness I can’t blame them for suspecting that George may possibly have legitimate anxiety, especially considering George himself has mentioned multiple times in the past that he has dealt with anxiety issues and that he’s generally a pretty anxious person. However obviously there is a very big difference between suspecting something vs armchair diagnosing him and acting like he definitely 100% has anxiety lol, besides George appears to be completely fine as of recently so I guess it doesn’t really matter anyway lmfao.

I like it when people show concern for those online when they spot signs of mental illness and want to help them, but assuming all those things about you because of the way you present yourself in your videos is extremely presumptuous, and clearly upsetting to you. i agree but i want to add that telling people who you perceive to have social anxiety that it's "not okay" and that they need to "get help" is not an appropriate way to show concern. social anxiety is pretty common and tends to naturally improve as we age, some people have more of it than others and that's okay, don't single people out or make them feel like they're not normal just because theyre socially anxious lol
@@wormflowers absolutely! even if they were right it's still inappropriate and is definitely going to make that person feel uncomfortable. if anyone was wondering how to actually help people with social anxiety that they know in real life id suggest finding ways to accommodate them & make them feel more comfortable in social situations. social anxiety is neurological and can't just be medicated or cured, in extreme cases there is therapy but its often just a minor inconvenience that gets easier to handle as people age. that person might also just be introverted which is a personality trait & is not distressing to them at all.... and unless you know them personally you probably won't be able to tell which one it is. like are these people forgetting that introversion exists?

Reddit is what would happen if we were all trapped in a cube and start to go insane. These armchair Reddit doctors need to CHILL. Been watching memeulous since 2017 and I’m studying to become a psychologist, so don’t say that there aren’t any people with knowledge of mental health, that watches random British bald man. So I guess that’s kinda what things I have found to work for me that I want to teach others

I genuinely feel bad about people picking apart George with the little time we see him truly. In all reality we only see him when he's on camera, that doesn't represent who he is on a daily base. Relationships with creators shouldn't go far enough where you're now diagnosing someone and talking about very personal topics about how someone lives or the struggles they deal with. It's evasive and extremely off putting to read about how someone thinks the experiences you've had is "not normal."
Honestly, thinking someone's experiences are "not normal" is one thing. Straight up telling him he is mentally ill and NEEDS help "fixing" is the insulting part, it doesn't seem like they actually care but just want to insult him for some reason

Like, whether or not you think he has/struggles with social anxiety, telling someone they "need to get help" if they aren't harming anyone and phrasing it like that is just in general so harmful for people who might have these mental illnesses. I have anxiety and there are different things that I do to manage and work on that, but if I was talking to someone about my social experiences and they told me "I need to get help" that would make me even more anxious and cause me to stop opening up about it in general, I would most likely stop trying to get any professional help at all and keep everything to myself. A friend approaching you and asking you if you want to seek professional treatment is a lot better than some random person being like "get help", and as long as you aren't hurting anyone or at risk of doing something to yourself, I think it should be completely up to you to choose what path you wish to go down in terms of managing your struggles. Also pushing someone, especially someone who struggles with anxiety, who isn't ready or willing to get help isn't doing much good and can harm them further. All this to say don't be fucking weirdos on the internet, or in general, and try to watch how you speak about things like mental illness because you could be accidentally contributing to the stigma that surrounds it and making it harder for people who do struggle with these things, even if you don't mean to.

I went to a James Marriott concert where I met Kit Wisp and some of his friends, one of his friends (called George) kept telling me he was Memeulous, and Kit had to actually tell him off. Anyway, NotMemeulous took a selfie on my phone so if George ever does a face reveal and it is him, I will actually lose it.
George if you ever did want to do a face reveal but you’re nervous it’ll turn out like dreams, gradually reveal features and eventually people will get so used to them then they won’t judge bc they won’t have set unrealistic standards.

i got professionally diagnosed with both social and generalised anxiety when i was 8. So yes it is something you can get diagnosed with and they are in fact separate things lol
