  • QNNtv.com/quilty: Special guest Sara Gallegos comes to the show to talk about machine-turned binding. The red thread is SO cute on that binding deco stitch! It's like adding rick-rack without the expense or hassle. I'm going to try this. Thanks.

I've been doing binding like this for years as find it very forgiving, and I'm far too lazy to hand stitch. Never thought to use different colour bobbin thread, great idea, thx :).

Very nice...but it would have been helpful if you showed us how you mitered and turned the corner. That's where I've had the most problems and no always hand hem my bindings.

Thanks for sharing this idea especially about using double sided tape for holding fabric. Question: What happens when item needs to washed to the tape? Is there a double sided tape for fabric?

Some of the tapes dissolve in the wash.

Have you ever done a tutorial on how many ways there are to bind a quilt? I would like to learn all of them.
