    I was told shipping padded flat rate padded is not as professional and causes damage to the shoes from another big ebayer/UTUBEr and I laughed out loud, I’ve shipped thousands of them and no customer has ever mentioned having a problem, all great feedback, and no damage EVER. I counted it up and I think so far I’ve saved $8000.00 this way in just a few years. This is almost enough to pay my lot rent every month!

    Dude. Been reselling for over a year and you’re the first person to say it’s a 1097 box instead of the medium flat rate box. No wonder my dang box got DENIED. makes sense now. Thanks man. Much appreciated. About to order some of those NON FLAT RATE before we get to the holidays. But do you mind explaining what the numbers correspond to on the box for example 1097 or 1092 or those are just numbers to determine what box it is? And that has nothing to do with shipping correct?

    HH, The partial cut you are making is called a SCORE. : ) There is a handy dandy tool called scoring stylus-craft stores, fabric stores, shipping department at office supply stores. Also a gizmo that looks like a pizza cutter/with a wheel that will actually score-skip-score-skip (like a dotted line) which provides your fresh cut edge with 50% remaining attached. More strength! Great video, I would say a total SCORE DUDE! : )

    I really love all of these tips! I never would have thought to saran wrap shoes like that! Question for you? When you post your shoes for sale do you charge customers a flat rate or do you measure each shoe for shipment for a calculated price? Or do you include that into your sale price for free shipping? I constantly struggle with which option is the best. Thanks for the the video! I loved it!

    • @HustlerHacks
      @HustlerHacks  Před 6 lety +4

      Thanks! I include the shipping into my sale price but most of the item they stay around the same price because of the weight. If it goes to NY (from TX) it will be $14 max (if it weighs alot), most of the time it is $10. If it goes to California (from TX) it is about $8.64. :)

    • @vogeltron9816
      @vogeltron9816 Před 6 lety +4

      Glenn has free shipping on all his shoes. Personally, I only do Free Shipping on Cleats and shoes that weigh under 2lbs because I know with my discounts it maxes out at $10 for USPS Priority Mail and can build it into the price. Those ones are always without the Box and I use the USPS Shoe Mailing Box. For any shoes over 3-4lbs I usually charge by weight. I personally do it differently since I am in CA, I offer Smart Post as an option for those 3-4lb shipments when the total price is less than about $80. Or I allow them to pay more for Priority Mail. Anything over that or anything that comes with a collectable box I ship priority. I buy the 16x10x6 Brown Boxes in Bulk they cost a little over $1 if you buy them right. To each their own. I have been selling on eBay for 10 years and have over 10,000 feedback. I don't do things half ass like I did when I started in my College days.

    • @DavidSchneiderIP

      Where do you buy the brown boxes?

  • @vogeltron9816
    @vogeltron9816 Před 6 lety +12

    Most the Men's shoes with the Box or Half Box (I seal in a bag like you do FBA). I just buy the 16x10x6 Brown Boxes. Anything under $80 and over 2lbs I ship FedEx Smart Post or let the buyer pay for Priority Upgrade. Would rather pay $1 for a box than an extra $5 for Priority Shipping for a free box on most items.

    • @PureOrganic
      @PureOrganic Před 6 lety +2

      how much does it come out to?

    • @vogeltron9816
      @vogeltron9816 Před 5 lety +3

      @Antonio Harris As I mentioned the shoes/cleats I sell on eBay over 2lbs I ship FedEx smart post 3-4lbs for 48 continental states is $10.50 if I do it through eBay. Again most the shoes I ship this way are sub $70-80 price and I offer a upgrade if they want to pay for it. (In some instances if the address is close to you its just better to send a 3-4lb shoe in USPS Priority by weight in the box you would send FedEx if it is close to you). If it is less than 2lbs and no box than the USPS Shoe Box is the way to go; if it is over and not a crazy expensive shoe I suggest FedEx Smart Post and just make it clear in the listing about time for delivery. From my 14 years on eBay and with that said I am only 30; ppl on this platform care less about delivery time and more about price. Don't throw away money! If anyone has any additional questions or need clarification just ask. Apologize if that is somewhat confusing. I think I said it pretty straightforward.

    Good video. However Post office around in my location does not accept the boxes if they are altered

      Normally that's only for flat-rate boxes, however, a good workaround is wrapping the box in brown paper.

    I wonder how you handle your inventory workflow.,
    Meaning, once you get home/warehouse how you manage taking pics, uploading them, posting details, follow ups and shippings, all that is time consuming.
    I'm selling some clothes and I'm getting crazy with so much steps., do you have an assistant?
    If you can make a video about that I (and many) will appreciate it.
    Thank You!
