Minute Maid Park, previously known as The Ballpark at Union Station, Enron Field, and Astros Field, is a ballpark in Downtown Houston, Texas, United States, that opened in 2000 to house the Houston Astros of Major League Baseball (MLB). The ballpark is Houston's first retractable-roofed stadium, and features a natural grass playing field. The ballpark was built as a replacement of the Astrodome, the first domed sports stadium ever built, which opened in 1965. It is named for beverage brand Minute Maid, a subsidiary of The Coca-Cola Company, which acquired naming rights in 2002 for $100 million over 30 years. As of 2016, Minute Maid Park has a seating capacity of 41,168, which includes 5,197 club seats and 63 luxury suites.
1977 says this tour guide needs a raise. She's SUPERB.
This lady is a phenomenal tour guide. I've learned so many cool things about Astro and baseball history that I didn't know yet and I'm a huge baseball fan and historian. She was great!

Great video! Unreal how good this ballpark tour was for you. She was an excellent guide. Most MLB ballpark tours are very good but I’d put her up there with the tour we did at Wrigley Field, which I’d consider the gold standard.
When she mentions “I’m an English teacher”, I was like “Ah makes sense”. Her memory is incredible. Thanks for posting, hope to take this tour one day!

After finally removing the cf eyesore, with the exception of adjusting some of the outfield wall kneepad strike areas field has come a long way from nearly being shut down after the 1st season with all of the pop up LF homeruns and other odd obstructions and is now a place where both P and position players at least for home team like playing. Lima Time Believe It!

I've never been here but it looks so cool on TV. I live in Detroit and go to Comerica Park regularly and it's nice but Minute Maid looks awesome.
I went to Comerica. It was a beautiful stadium. I wasn't so fond of the armed guards around the stadium....but..you know...if you need'em you need'em.

Awesome...I think she did an amazing job. When I got there I was hoping she was the guide for my group. You could tell by the way she dressed she wasn't just doing a job, but loved the Astros and their history. I had a similar guide at The Yard. The guide makes the tour! Glad you enjoyed.

When they built that ballpark, it was way ahead of its time despite it being built in 2000. I’m glad they went back to their original colors. I hated the 2000s era uniforms.
