    I haven't gotten around to dipping into a Bleu de Chanel yet but I'm glad you clarified it's grapefruit note cause I hate light blue forever and I was worried about that lol

    • @FragranceDOUD
      @FragranceDOUD  Před 2 lety +4

      Ya when I first heard grapefruit years ago I was drawn away from it because I don’t like the smell of grapefruit but when you smell this the grapefruit is nothing even close to that in forever. It wouldn’t give anyone that smells it initially an “oh hey that’s grapefruit” it is more citric then anything grapefruit is just a note that pulls it together and sweetens it up but not the grapefruit most would think

      Missoni Parfum is also a great fragrance and is a familiar drag to bleu de chanel. Very high in quality and smooth just not as versatile as Bleu. Great purchase especially cause you can get as discounters unlike chanel

    Everyone loves edp the most but for me it's my least favorite and the reason is the patchouli in the base. It always sticks out to me and gives an old people vibe off my skin. Some fragrances blend it better and I don't mind it, like in acqua di gio profumo but in bdc edp it just sticks out to me

    • @FragranceDOUD
      @FragranceDOUD  Před rokem +3

      My EDP is actually brand new as of February and my batch is 2022 as I ordered my new bottle from chanel personally. It lasts the same as my old bottle to the point where my wife tells me I need to dial down the spray. As far as the parfum I did notice a slight change between my full bottle and the new decant I was sent but nothing that major. Maybe an hour less. As far as the red tobacco they are two completely different types of fragrances built completely different and while red tobacco is made to last long chanel is not made to be a 24 hour work horse

    • @FragranceDOUD
      @FragranceDOUD  Před rokem +1

      With that said I have said since my channels inception that if a fragrance lasts 4+ hours I don’t worry about the longevity unless I’m going to work when In that case I wear a long lasting work safe FRAGRANCE

    • @FragranceDOUD
      @FragranceDOUD  Před rokem

      @@vasquezinvoker3714 oh no sorry for the confusion. I was just saying in general that’s my rule for fragrances. The EDP I get 8-10 on average easy. The Parfum my bottle gets about 12 while the new decant gets around 10. Both have a projection of around 3-4 ours well above average with the EDP ranging more on the heavy side. After that they don’t work down to a skin scent until the last hour or two of longevity and more stay at a personal bubble for hours 4-8. Outside of the niche I own the EDP is in the top 10 in my designer collection for performance. But with that said it may be a fragrance your anosmic to. Which can vary at different stages meaning u go anosmic after the opening or just anosmic to the frsgrance itself because in all my lives and taking on comments ur the first I’ve heard get bad longevity from the chanel line

    • @FragranceDOUD
      @FragranceDOUD  Před rokem

      @@vasquezinvoker3714 it also could be a skin thing where your skin doesn’t agree with the fragrance because chanel is not known to have major batch issues and is one of the most consistent designers in all of fragrance with their batches. For people who do have those issues I say the first step to seeing if that’s the issue is to heavily moisturize the spots where you spray it at least 10 minutes before spraying. As with all colognes moisturizer will block your pores and stop the fragrance from seeping into your skin and losing its potency. If it still doesn’t last long after heavily moisturinzing then it would be a case of you being anosmic

    • @FragranceDOUD
      @FragranceDOUD  Před rokem

      Really they both do similar things they take the dna from their line so chanel with the bergamot grapefruit incense and ysl with the apple ginger and Tonka and they warm up the dna smoothen them out and make them more date night/night out style fragrances. Parfums are just to soften the dna of a line make them warmer longer lasting higher quality and better blended. As far as the comparison on is the y dna one is the chanel dna the ysl is based on sweetness, aromatics, and Tonka bean while chanel is based on citrus smoke and woods. I personally prefer the y even tho both are great
