The main problem with fighting the Chief is that even though the bio-mods are essentially the same (though research has made them less risky to the recipients) the modular armor isn't anywhere near the durability or lethality of the older style Mjolnir armor that Chief still prefers. Also, Spartan-II's were literally kidnapped as children and raised as child soldiers whereas Spartan-IV's were all adults before they became soldiers. Thus any Spartan-II (but especially super-badasses like Chief or Noble 6) is better equipped for a fight and has more experience.
Umm noble six is a spartan 3 Jorge was the only spartan 2 in reach
Six was a Spartan-III. He was also the only other Spartan to be designated as hyper-lethal.
Bio mods are not the same. As far as I'm aware, the augmentation process got less potent, but also less deadly, as the generations progressed (only asterisk around that is that I dont actually know if the potency decreased going from spartan IIIs to spartan IVs, but neither were as effective as those who survived the spartan II augmentation process). Also, and this may have been retconned at some point without me realising, but part of the reason for the bio mods being made purposefully less effective, apart from making it so they could produce more spartans, was that they were able to outfit them with better gear, armour etc. closing the gap somewhat.
Noble Six was a 3..
@@Greimor967Spartan-IIIs are an odd one because they started as really, really bad Spartan-IIs but then Reach (game not book) messed up the lore and so much of it has been retconed to match Halo: Reach and have Spartan IIIs be just as good or only marginally weaker than Spartan-IIs.
The original idea was the Spartan-IIIs didn't get actual augmentations. The Spartan-IIIs were essentially a bunch of angry orphans with okay genes taken from planets destroyed by the Covenant, pumped full of sci-fi steroids for a few years during training (no major surgeries just chemical and hormonal stuff), and then sent off to die in suicide missions with armor and weapons marginally better than ODSTs. Specifically, the kind of missions that required something better than ODSTs to achieve but that you wouldn't want to waste a Spartan-II's life on. They were just not up to par with Spartan-IIs in any way. That program was trying to create a generalized program for sucidially aggressive special forces out of the earlier super soldier program. That eventually led to the Spartan-IV program with generalized enhancements of regular soldiers.
Then the people who made the Reach game's storyline just kind of ignored the existing lore and called Noble Team Spartan-IIIs despite being nothing like Spartan-IIIs and essentially being short Spartan-IIs. This way, they could have the team of unstoppable supersoldiers in mjolnir armor but still maintain the "last of his kind" storybeat for Master Chief. Since Reach was a big success, everything about the Spartan-IIIs was getting rewritten to match the game rather than the previous story beats. At that point, the idea was being retconned in that the Spartan-IIIs chemical enhancements were much more efficent due to technological progression, despite being far less invasive, and the Spartan-IIIs are essentially just as good as Spartan-IIs.

Spartan 2s are warriors trained from childhood to be borderline sealed into a second layer of heavily armored and mechanized skin
@@warlynx5644 To be accurate, Spartan IV's were still _slightly_ enhanced, but not as enhanced as any previous Spartans - but they are indeed enhanced to increase stamina, endurance, strength, reaction times, etc.
And like you said, their training was nowhere as intense as Spartan II's or even Spartan III's
And indeed, Spartan IV's weren't even trained from childhood. LOCKE was enhanced and granted an armor as he was already an adult
Spartan-II's are definitely the strongest, fastest - the *best*
I'd say in order of ''who's the best'' it goes
II > III > IV
But III also had some manufactured downsides, that still gives them an edge over IV, but that can be debated _(Spartan-III were engineered to also get some ''Feral'' state under pressure or threat of failing, etc - it made them quite unpredictable in dangerous situations and only enabled them to focus on their own self-preservation, and not the team's or their allies' preservation and safety too)_
@@ProtoMarcus In essence: SIIIs were created to be expendable Spartans. SIVs were created to be upgraded ODSTs.

right like bro he did it 10x better in almost every single way than the fucken trash ass game we have for Halo 5
Ok, Chief throwing the armor lock at everyone while fighting the others is really badass, and something he would do
Watching Master Chief casually toss the armor lock around between team Osiris is absolutely hilarious
I like how no one saw that master chief just magically summoned a gun from his hand just to yeet it
two years later and this is still the best animation ive seen
Honestly this animation is much more entertaining to watch than the game scene. I think the use of that stasis device was really clever, and Osiris gives off the impression that they're dangerous, just outclassed. If Locke got stabbed in the gut or ribs, Chief acted much less arrogent, and the tactical folding chair was just like a rock or a piece of debris or even just a normal slam, this would be legitimately be a better paced and directed serious action scene than the AAA studio's
Concuerdo con el desconocido en absolutamente todo
It cannot be classified as arrogance if you been doing this as long as chief has. Sure some the actions seem disrespectful, but after halo 4 “surrender that ai” situation, he wants other people to know that don’t mess with the master chief
Tactical Folding Chair...I am so dead.
@@Badassdude1234 I'll be writing "TACTICAL" on my folder chair, and using it for home defense from now on.
Completely agree 🙌🏻
I think the best quote I ever heard to sum up how dumb the Chief and Locke fight was is "This armor's able to drop from orbit with barely a scratch, but I'm supposed to believe a knee to the face can crack the visor?"
It's quite plausible actually. If a spartan falls from orbit with his or her back facing the ground, then it's the rear portion of the armor that absorbs most of the impact. Also, the force will be more distributed than a knee strike. On the other hand, a knee strike is more concentrated on a certain area compared to hitting the ground due to free fall. So Chief's visor getting cracked is actually somewhat realistic. Besides, it's this whole idea of freefalling from orbit and not dying that's more unrealistic of the two. Hitting the ground at 190 kph or 118 mph and not dying? I'm not buying it no matter how augmented a spartan is. For me, that's too unrealistic.
@@enigmaticspace7578 it’s a fucking sci-fi game, don’t you get the fiction part?
@@enigmaticspace7578 my guy ever heard of fucking plot armor
@@jaegeramvs3766 I know what science fiction is. That said, Halo has established itself as a sci-fi that heavily leans on realism or plausibility. I'm not against the whole idea of surviving an atmospheric drop without drop pods, but they could've at least toned it down to plausible levels, like having assistance from their built-in armor jetpacks. Claiming that 'spartans could survive atmospheric re-entry' just by in itself is too broad of a claim. Maybe add a little more specifics to differentiate 'surviving by freefalling' from 'surviving through assisted freefall', or something like that. Other sci-fi elements of halo, I'm not really against those, but this part about spartan atmospheric re-entry, there's real science behind this. So they could've at least toned down the 'sci-fi-ness' for this part.
@@YoungCytoplasm Too much plot armor. Atmospheric re-entry has real science backing it up, so they could've reduced the 'fiction' element for this part of the lore.
