@@magtinfal7908 Rights to include in a specific game, yes. They don't apply to sequels / reboots / whatever MK1 is.
Also, those licensing rights can expire. There are alot of licensed IP games that can't be sold anymore because of expired license deals. Heck, Alan Wake was unavailable for purchase for awhile because music licenses expired.

I think it could be cool if they did Kratos again, but instead brought the more old/wise GoW Ragnarok version of him. They could also have him use his axe instead of the blades.

@@BailyC295Well, they did have Rain as DLC for both MK 9 and 11 so they are totally fine with repeating DLC. Unless you mean specifically for Guest characters, in which case... Hey, they probably still can though it's not as easy given they need the permissions from the guest character's owner(s). Though, I don't know how happy people would be that PlayStation players would have their own exclusive character again. I mean, NRS could do the same for Xbox, PC, and Nintendo to make it even but I feel like that might just be too much work.
To be fair to Omni Man, he's a villain in the show for now, but he changes his time relatively quickly considering what's on deck.

Would love to see Neo make an entrance in this game. With his fatality going inside of you and blowing you up from the inside. His second fatality, he grabs you and flies to the sky, punches you down and nose dives your body in half, landing badass on one knee, with blood and the body parts falling around him.

Each mk has it's own theme when it comes to guest characters, MKX was horror, mk11 was 80s-90s action heros and mk1 will be comic books I'd like mk2 to be video game crossovers considering doom guy has been leaked it would be nice to get kratos again or someone like geese Howard or kazuya

It'd be cool but I think it's harder to get since Warner Bros doesn't own Halloween. They do seem to own IT, Annabelle and Trick R Treat if you want more horror related characters.

It really makes me wonder how they're going to spice up Homelander's and Omni-Man's movesets enough to make them distinct. The only real differences between the 2 are that one knows how to actually fight and the other has eye beams.

@@shawziiz5031 Very true, though the question I mostly have is with Homelander, since he never really fights with any kind of proficiency that would seem fun to play. Like 90% of his fights in the show and the comics is either him lasering people apart, punching them once (wherein they immediately die) or just brutalising them off-screen.
@@Dynamo33 That why people predict Homelander gonna be a zoner, while Omni-Man will be rush down or grappler maybe. My best bet, they gonna utilize some Superman, Zod, and Supergirl moves before, twist it a bit to become completely new for both Homelander and Omni-Man. Then again, we already have guest character who never truly fight like a martial arts/action star. Remember Jason in MKX? At that time, people legit question how Jason will work, they keep throwing say he is slow, just a big guy who carry a machete, nothing cool. NRS just straight up prove them wrong. Even the gimmick of Jason make people fright or him appear out of nowhere in Friday the 13th franchise, is convert into a gameplay aspect of him. They can always pull it. It just a matter of whether we gonna like their gameplay or not, that all.

You had to grab the Playstation 3 port of MK9, on the bright side, no additional cost to get him like other guest characters that showed up in DLC
Jason and Predator. Though I am pumped for Peacemaker and Homelander.

All I'm thinking of now is that Rigamarole animation where Kratos remembers he's actually Greek, flexes with enough force to launch Atreus into the air, and then starts speaking in Greek, Atreus then speaks in Spanish because I guess he's just fluent in everything
Mortal Kombat is the game that made me realize how strange the letter C is in English. In the game : Coin is Koin, Combat is Kombat, Combatant is Kombatant, etc. Phonetic wise they're pretty much similar. To add more, C in Celebrate is like S. Champion can be unique for C only, but no... You have to add that sexy h after the C to make that unique sound

Highly unlikely because guest character was meant to be exclusive for one installment. That what make them special, as we seen in other fighting games as well. Not to mentioned the whole deal and copyright stuff the dev need to do everytime they wanted to use this guest. So it is very very highly unlikely they gonna go through all that shit again for the same character. Might as well just go for brand new one. The only way it can happen again if the moment they strike a deal, one of the conditions is they can use it again, probably just one time again for another new installment, but that was a big if

@@ultimatefanboy4060 Smash is massively different tho. Most non Nintendo characters in Smash are from companys which have been partners with Nintendo for many years. The only 2 which were kinda iffy were Snake and Cloud because of their terrible creators, i assume the only reason these 2 are in Smash is because of a heafty sum they payed. However licencing for movies and shows is way more expensive, and a lot trickier, while yes not impossible it is very unlikely that all of them will return in the same game together.
