I saw this on an episode of Rick and Morty. Where the devil was selling cursed items to people. So Rick took away the cursed part of the item and could use the item to reap the benefits without the bad parts.

The sister was definitely weird for keeping the coin. While lowkey pressuring the main character to throw it away.
She was really jealous of the attention her sister was getting and wanted it for herself.
