    Sharepoint is so user-friendly, this simple copy and paste process only took 42 steps. Thanks MS.

    I've been searching for weeks for a solution on how to copy a communication site to another. This is the only solution that I found that is very easy and that works! Thank you so much for this and for explaining it step by step. :)

    In the last step you should use Identifier you get in the Get file properties step. Also you should set Destination folder to your Input - Site Url from first step.

    Very easy to follow - thanks! I guess if you want to move other pages from your source site to the same secondary site, you'd essentially use the same Flow, but just update the "File to copy" in the 4th Power Automate step? Is that correct?

    What does it mean when you don’t have the trigger ‘For a selected item’ ?

    This was great = but question, what if you have several files, is there a way to create a flow to copy everything?

    • @Regroove
      @Regroove  Před rokem +1

      Hi Cat, thanks for the question -- when you say several files did you mean several pages? If it's copying multiple pages and moving them
      to another destination site, then you can just do the same steps and apply them on the destination sites.

    Wow this is exactly what I needed. Do you think this would work if it was built on a Teams Sharepoint site. I basically wanted to move all my lists to another Teams sharepoint site. But do not need the data just the columns.

    This is great! I really needed this. Thank you.
    I wanted to make a comment about Step 2 "Get Item" because when I was adding this action and searched for Get Item I only saw "Get Items" and tried to use that thinking it was the same thing. It isn't. I had to redo this step for the flow to work. Get Item was about 20 items down further in the list.
    PS do you have a way to copy a 'quick links web part' to another page within a site or to another site?

    Will this flow actually move the Site Assets (images on the page) to the new site or will it just reference the images still residing on the site you are copying the page from?

    Why are the 2 intermediary stedps needed if we never refer to any of the obtained ID's at 2 and 3 and simply hard code de name of the sites in the last step ?

    How do you copy the page back again? Do you have to recreate the flow in the dogs site?

    • @Regroove
      @Regroove  Před rokem

      Hi Lars, the original page is still in the source site, but if you want to copy the flow to another new/different site just do the same steps and apply it on the site you want to copy the page on.

    Didn't work for me. The run history says it's failing.

    • @11tbishop
      @11tbishop Před rokem

      okay I see my error to cause it to fail. it is succeeding now, but the page is completely blank. It's like it just copied over the shell of the page and nothing on it.

    • @Regroove
      @Regroove  Před rokem

      @@11tbishop Hi there, it sounds like you might not be grabbing the file properties so its just copying over a shell of the page. There are a few different options for file properties, have you tried them all?
