I like how the iPhone spams notifications while the alert is going.
Thats just a ton of alert apps including twitter. None of thoses look like an EAS thats on apple devices. Meanwhile all the other phones are draining their batteries

The iPhone EAS takes the form of a single notification that hides all others on the screen and shows a triangle warning symbol while playing the appropriate tone depending on region, ie here in the UK the new system sets volume to about 70% then plays the USA's beep tone (not the data part though)

The right most phone is also an iPhone
that's because it's a 3rd party app and not a system alert from iOS so apps can't show full screen ui when on lockscreen, it's the same for android but the other devices were unlocked before the alert (and as the guy above me said, on the right there is an unlocked iphone)
Apple's emergency alert service is not available in many countries. For example, here in singapore, malaysia or China. We need to use 3rd party apps

Earthquake warnings in Japan only use a sound like "quack quack" and vibrations, but I feel that this has a more urgent alarm sound and light that conveys a sense of urgency more easily.

California and Alaska should adopt this kind of EEW that gives out the Warning 50 seconds before instead of the Emergency Alert that gives out the Earthquake early warning 5 seconds before or 5 seconds after the quake

They send 3 sets of headers. When we examinate the 3 sets, the headers are around 85 milliseconds apart if I had to guess. When we move on to the next set, it takes 1 second for us to move on. So the way the 3 sets of headers are broadcast cause certain radios to activate 3 times. There you go.
@@McPikeVHS Yeah, I figured that was what was happening there. It's been a while since I posted it, and I figured out more. Only alerts they issue are earthquake, volcano, and weekly tests.

Yeah it is terrible! 2 days ago the alarm (in Mexico City) was activated during the late afternoon. It is a pretty common thing to happen since earthquakes are constantly happening all around the world. This alarm is activated every time that there is an earthquake 4 degrees (Richter scale) or above. Every day an earthquake happens somewhere in Mexico but just a few are noticeable or worth activating the alarm.

SASSLA es un transmisor secundario, toma la señal oficial de SASMEX para activarse. El gobierno emite la alerta sísmica de forma GRATUITA, cada quien decide si desea pagarles algo a los dueños de las apps
@@m.c.marcoantonioderomanmel8728 pero SASSLA toma la señal de la alerta sísmica del espectro electromagnético para llevarla a todos. Sin necesidad de que tengas que esperar a que instalen un poste donde vives o que funcionen la bocinas.
