Late as always, but I have to say, this makes me respect Olivia Rodrigo's songwriting just a bit more, too! Versatile enough to make a good song for Tove Lo, that's cool.
HI dear Ashlena ! Now that was the very first time I have listened to Tove Lo... and I didn't have a clue about her at all ! I found out she is just ANOTHER Scandinavian singer (this time from "Abbaland" Sweden) and that she obviously was a very talented kid, when it came to writing poems. I totally agree with you that she has a unique and beautiful voice. And she made this cover definitely her own ! I don't know the original yet, but Olivia Rodrigo is also not my "cup ot tea", although she has some good songs. If there is one tjhing that I don't like that much in Tove Lo's cover, it is the fact that she uses techno elements in it. If she would use more rock elements, like proper drums and a good guitar riff, I would probably go NUTS on her... but nevertheless, you succeeded in making me curious and I will definitely watch more reaction videos to Tove Lo from you. And I also understand why you are such a great fan of her. I kinda know your musical taste meanwhile and can figure out, what you would love to listen to and discover, so that's why I'm choosing my suggestions "wisely", before suggesting them to you.... meanwhile, I can almost predict that you will love my suggestions, so that's why I choose what I choose to react to for you. Sorry to say - but, the only Tove Lo music video that I've seen is "Bikini Porn". I enjoyed it for how her ridiculous "sexy" dancing led to the funny deadpan cameo by none other than FINNEAS (the brainy half of the Billie Eilish duo). This is not a recommendation. It's just a nugget of trivia coming from a thoroughly invested Billie/Finneas fan. (Gotta say though: AURORA is next-level genius.)
