What do you need to download dcs?
Well I for one thank you for all you do making great videos that are both educational and fun. I'd love to see more on the Grippen after your episode where you were dogfighting against it. Loved that video!
210 up 0 down..... and why not
“I’m too close for missiles. Switching to guns!”
Classic.
that's 5$ for the topgun swear jar.
Should’ve been titled: Growling Sidewinder makes a masterpiece
Thank you man ur too kind.
Honestly tho...
@@GrowlingSidewinder but it's true tho
Stroking an aviators ego dangerous very dangerous.
@@GrowlingSidewinder this shit was a symphony 🎺🎻🎷
GS's real superpower: Firing an AIM-7 and actually hitting something with the first shot.
Hahah got lucky man, I’d honestly rather throw rocks at him than fire a sparrow the odds seem better with a rock sometimes lol.
SAME MAN I really salute his balls for firing a Sparrow when he has AMRAAMs
Man don't miss... Never miss! 😂😂
Goddamn I never paid attention to how fluid and well animated the crew aboard the carrier was. Shouldve paid closer attention when I was on the catapult.
I know it's a ton of work but I really like that kind of stuff, and BF themes makes everything epic.
Glad you enjoyed man I’ll try and do more
Whatever you can give us is appreciated. Awesome work, thanks a lot
@@GrowlingSidewinder aboneer op mij
Really like the "movie footage" at the start, sets the mood.
theres no movie footage, thats the game itself
This was amazing 😍 I need more content like this, keep up the amazing work.
These latest videos are awesome !!!! I love the history and re-enactments . Keep it up guys !!!
What an absolute display. I really liked your work and bring us more air combat stories with the your visual graphics from DCS. It’s really amazing and educational.
Always nice seeing a Desert Storm themed hornet video
I got the courage to play on your DCS server last night with my friend. My first time PvP. Funny how you forget all the simple things when you are stressed out .. lol
Ya shit gets crazy real fast. Glad u worked up the courage to come on, only way to get better is practice hope to see you back soon.
Very cool video!! Looking forward to seeing a more like this. Hopefully you can get another DSC player for another strike package mission like this. Love the content my dude keep it up!!!
thank you Chris much appreciated man.
Exactly the kind of content I've been craving. Thank you!
My pleasure thanks for watching
0:39 Every time I hear this music it sounds like the music when Gandalf fell in the Mines of Moria
whats the song?
Haha yeah good call
That's cuz it is. 100% lotr soundtrack taken and mixed with other tunes
@@bradsmgads1302 i need it too
@@arijeet No it's not. It's Angelic Choir Divine Elevation by Allen Grey published 2019
IRL this mission would have had two air refuelings planned: after T/O the fighters would join on a tanker orbiting above the Carrier Group at about FL200...each group would come in, top off, and go. Post-strike there would be a tanker waiting for them to show, get required fuel, then head for the carrier group. One of my favorite missions during desert storm (KC-10 boom operator) entailed flying from our base in Jeddah, SA to the Kuwait/Iraq border, where we were joined by 4 F16 Wild Weasels. It was about 1AM local time...we then flew along the Iraq border with the F16s on our wings. Occasionally they would call us and say "Orbit here" and all 4 acft would disappear into the night. About 20 minutes later they'd return, with about half of their HARMs gone. We would refuel them, and proceed along the border, until everything was nice and quiet. We ended up landing as the sun was coming up. What a great mission. :) NKAWTG...N!
what a weird invasion
Glad to see that your doing these again
I appreciate seeing you talk through all of the button clicks in the cockpit to get a better idea of the real time work flow.
Very entertaining as always : )
I think its about time I got off of training and tried some air to air combat for the first time in DCS. I got the Hornet, Persian Gulf and most recently the Supercarrier so there is no better time to start!
Saw this and subbed right away.
First time here, blew my mind.
Keep up the great work 👍
thanks for subbing welcome to the channel.
Your production quality was top notch there. Love the lighting and the angles you go for. And good flying.. nice snapshot on the mig - you had bombs and a tank and 4000 lbs of bombs when you scored it haha.
ahah ya I couldn't believe when I ended up on his six like that, thanks for watching Jeff, always a pleasure to see you still around here. take care man.
Very nice mission, with a bit of everything and even a "Neo moment" there at the end by your Wingman; nice. I was missing a bit some ATG acction, but it was good. Stay well man
Thanks brother always appreciate you dropping by and watching. Take care man.
@@GrowlingSidewinder A pleasure
This was really great, seriously.
Small critique for the added sound effects of the explosions though:
Add a time delay to allow the sound waves enough time to reach the camera :)
Keep this up, quality content man 👍
U deserve so much more recognition, thank u for making CZcams enjoyable for me.
thank you man, and thanks for watching.
Awsome vid. This has to be one of your best.
Thank u Curtis glad you enjoyed
More multirole missions like this, please! Dogfights are awesome, but it's epic to see the aircraft really flex all of its capabilities.
Excellent video, Growling Sidewinder. I had to look up 'SEAD'....never heard 'it' mentioned that way before, but, now I know👍
Such a cool video I really enjoyed this format.
Thanks for watching man
Wow it's like a film thanks for your job
My pleasure thanks for watching
GW, cool stuff man. Your videos are always top notch. Keep it up!
I heard the growling sidewinder sound, living up to your namesake! Good kill good kill!!
Pretty sure back in 1991 there was no data link, SA page and JHMCS, but otherwise nicely edited and executed. It was fun to watch! 🙂
I like this kind of video with AI wingmen management and multirole missions against AI
I'm loving the cinematic crossover and mission design :D
Awesome vid as usual !!! Thank you !
Awesome video GS, just awesome!
Thank you Lille glad you enjoyed
Superb mission GS. Your videos are the best. thanks for sharing.
my pleasure man thanks for watching.
Great intro with the new super carrier stuff. Looks fantastic
A very engaging, awesome video!
Thank you for doing a realistic and professional video
Hey I’ve been watching your content for over a year and it’s the reason I bought a pc and started playin dcs, sorry for not subscribing at the start but your content is amazing. Thank you for producing so many quality videos!
I'm not sure what I like more. The content, or the music you put in there.
Good stuff. I was really curious to see that in TacView when you lost the last MiG :D
Amazing content as always. I love how you make your video like a movie. It has tension and its just great. You made me captivated into this video. Honestly your work has always been outstanding and i love your chanel. Keep it up buddy. I'm kinda speachless rnow so i can't make sense xD.
watching these older DCS videos is jarring, the graphics have improved sooo much.
The music sets the scene! Great vid
Most eminently watchable CGI dogfighting missions. Your understanding of how to go defensive then jump to attack is right on point. Like watching a C.W. Lemoine video without having to use your imagination...
The George Washington (CVN-73) aircraft carrier didn't participate in Desert Storm/Persian Gulf War. It was commissioned in 1992 well after Desert Storm. Curious if anyone else caught that. :)
Thank you specially for making this mission downloadable for us I enjoyed it very much
my pleasure, glad you enjoyed.
Agreed!
Excellent video! :)
I really be lovin the cinematic music
Excellent use of the carrier. Thanks.
Stunning!
Hell yeah man good video, keep doing Whatchu do them views are going up, love the channel and content good work.
Thank you brother much appreciated
I appreciate these :)
Your vids keep getting better, they are more entertaining than hollywood movies.
youre far too kind man thank you.
Holy s***. Good work man
Nicely done
A beautiful video
Dam.....i sure do miss those days working on the flight deck launching jets. VF-21, VF-24, VF-211, VF-41. Tomcats baby miss those days terribly :( Yes i know those are F-18's. Just reminds me of my tomcat days.
Wow it is so impressive!
Thanks for good play and shortcut explain for plan :)
My dad was a Marine in Desert Storm. He held the mule giving the sparkle to the laser designaters on convoys for the hornets
This operation was excellent in my opinion, was wonderful
Wishing you more victories

The graphics and sounds are incredible.
Awesome opening!
Its beautiful dude
whoever animated the shooters did one hell of a job
I like these new videos so much, like the story line
Love these intros. It is like watching a movie.
I love the way you don't use an AMRAAM because it wasn't used in 1991 but you do use the JHMCS which was introduced 5 years after the AMRAAM was
Well, it’s not like there was aim9xs for off bore sight shots I decided to use the hmd mostly to point things out to people with the cross.
@@GrowlingSidewinder ok That makes sense, thanks
I could watch this guy all day
Beautiful intro!!!
Awesome video again, thank you very much! Could you recommend books or something learning material for BVR and dogfight beside you great videos?
Great mission we'll executed well done..
*12:22* the intro of *Growling Sidewinder*
Man, I picked an excellent time to get into DCS. Supercarrier looks amazing. Just waiting for my HOTAS to arrive and then I'll learn how to properly fly the F-16 and F-18 mods. Hope to see you in the (digital) skies soon, GS!
If really want to get good, I recommend getting Falcon BMS, and learning the aircraft top to bottom, then switching to DCS.
@@xX_Gravity_Xx Hmm. I have not heard of this training path yet. But I will surely investigate. Thank you for the advice!
@@xX_Gravity_Xx Can Falcon BMS be played in VR?
This is a really good video.
Man I can’t stop replaying the intro, it makes me want to play dcs
love this. would love seeing more "hornet at its full potential" (as in the f/a role) again
keep it up growling, the videos you been uploading lately good asf💯
thanks man, glad you're enjoying the new stuff.
@@GrowlingSidewinder Oh yeah! LOVING the content that tells a story so much more than the "don't die" quick fights!
the font you use is cool af, idk why i noticed that😂 btw please make more bvr videos, those are the best
Will do man thanks for watching
Great mission! Can you make more of these? Tons of fun.
Awesome!
I wait for every video you do, they are the best dcs videos.
Little question, do you use sound and graphics modes or something? Its sound and look amazing.
I was not aware of the f-14 acls not working with the new patch and had a hour long mission that was fun but once I hit pilot reference button my tomcat just fell outta the sky right on my final approach. Glad to see someone with a mission made it back to the carrier in one piece.
My father fought in Operation Desert Storm. He worked with ADA or Air Defense Artillery.
its pretty impressive how good this game looks for its actual age. Looks better than some new games.
good thing i didnt have to pay for my whole seat to watch this video. i only needed the god damn edge of it.
what a great vid
Great vid! Do you have any other simple practice missions like this? Would love to try more!
it was so awesome
This looks freaking real!!!
Awesome video and thanks for sharing the mission! I'm curious, what do you have your MSAA and SSAA set at in DCS?
MSAA all the way up SSAA off
@@GrowlingSidewinder Thanks Boss
my pleasure
Growling Sidewinder... that was incredibly lucky on more than a couple of occasions.
The beginning audio reminded me of Team America!
Another epic video GS. We love the vids with a little background. How do you deal with replay files if you miss the angles you want to record as there isn't a rewind function yet is there?
just have to keep replaying the tracks brother always hoping they dont corrupt.
@@GrowlingSidewinder jeeeeeesus. Commitment. Fox2. 🤙🏻
A scenario for you. There are mountains between you and the enemy. A very important large and friendly FARP for a lot helicopters has been established 1/4 the way into the mountains. The enemy has identified it through intelligence and is planning a sneak attack through the mountains on the FARP.
They are a top notch four ship loaded to the gills with ordinance and fuel tanks to completely obliterate the FARP and gun down any choppers that get airborne. For safety’s sake each plane is carrying 2 Fox 2’s. One may or may not be armed with fewer bombs and more missles. Your intelligence is ahead of the game and knows the day, in the morning, of the planned attack.
The mission of you and the wingman is to find them and stop them, taking off before sunrise to ambush them if you can. Take whatever toys you want and an AWACS. I seldom see fighters trying to stop an air to ground before it happens and I’d like to.
I was there from Oct 1990 to July 1991. too many memories
Great vid...question..how do u get the radio chatter in the background at the beginning for instance
