especially when the problems (healing being way too strong) are still an issue, fighting a tank let alone hog without the dps passive is pointless because they just heal through anything as long as the dps passive isnt procced

The only Flaw in 5V5 is how the tank feels, and typical stuff that would also happen in 6V6.
Ironically Tanks gets overwhelmed or is an overwhelming force like how they kinda SHOULD be.
@narcoticlilac6588 highly disagree. It's not just about the feelings of the tank. It also limits the creative potential of the tank role. Tanks HAVE to have the ability to block or heal a significant amount of damage and deal a significant amount of damage just to stay alive.
The nature of 5v5 also makes dive tanks much less viable because they require team synergy and having a dive tank will, by definition, leave the team alone to defend themselves. It is all or nothing in 5v5 where as in 6v6 you could send one tank and not the other if the situation needed it.
Also don't forget that the feelings of the player base is what drives the retention of each role so having tank feel miserable means that queue times will be skewed.
5v5 also forces every role to be more independent which leads to the team deathmatch feeling a lot of games have. There are FAR more dps supports now than there ever were in 6v6.

I wouldn't say Flats is neutral so much as... disconnected. He fills in this weird space where he never really says anything controversial to draw attention but at the same time never really pushes on his own momentum. he seems mostly happy just making decent points without bashing anyone...
I get so much of the hate and anger for this game, but I do think Flats would be much happier in a better thriving community. Honestly I think everyone would be better if we all just collectively moved to a different and healthier game.

I dont think its such a bad idea to take a "I'm not going to bet on the multi billion dollar corporation" when it comes to reverting back to 6v6. Yes it would be nice to have that option again, but this is also a company that *ultimately doesn't care about this game the way we do*.
You and a million other people could say it until we all pass out from oxygen deprivation, doesn't mean Blizzard's gonna care unless they have incentive. Its why the balancing in this game is SHIT and always has been. They're more interested in funding their "esports uwu dream game" than having it functional or playable.
I think the problem with Flats is that he's very conscious about the fact that streaming OW is paying his bills. So he's trying to keep both Blizzard and the viewers happy by being as neutral as possible and not stepping on toes. A few seasons ago, I think it was during season 5, he's said he was miserable playing the game and seriously considering quitting if season 6 isn't going to make the game more fun again. He's tried to branch into variety streaming since from what I know (don't watch his stream, just YT). Since he's still playing OW now and as tank as well and is voicing frustrations regularly enough, I get the idea he's just sticking around and being this neutral to ensure it'll continue paying the bills. Can't really blame him for that, I guess.

It was the better format for sure, but it's honestly not likely to return given that there were never enough Tank players even back then.
Maybe there were at some ranks of play, but it was definitely not universal across all or even most of the ranks.
Given there are even less of us Tanks now, it would be worse than back then.
Most newer players avoid or rarely play Tank, heck most players backbthen did the same. So it's not like any of them, old or new, would suddenly decide to start maining Tank if they brought back 6v6.
Realistically, that's why most of us are more interested in potential changes that can resolve the issue's in 5v5.
Heck, upping it to 7v7 with a a revision of the old Defence Damage Role category to a Specialist or Controller Role category would help redistribute the overly bloated Damage Hero Selection, Further Diversify Roles and funnel more Damage and Support Players into matches without having to attempt to raise the Tank player population.
Or we can keep the base Specialist Roles we already have (Tank, Damage and Support) and redistribute some Heroes into two additional Generalist Role player slots.
Limit it to one additional currenttly Specialised Role Hero per Generalist Slot, so one additional Tank but doesn't get the additional Health from Queing as Tank, one additional Damage Hero with 10% Heal Reduction passive &/or one Additional Support that has a half as effective Support passive or something.
Basically, giving Flex Queued players twice the opportunity to enter a game. Either as a dedicated Role or as a flexible Generalist Role that's not as good as the dedicated Role, but has more Heroes to pick from.
If a dedicated Role player drops, the Flex Role player can Opt to become the new Dedicated Role player (something like hitting Tab plus Right Click to Accept or Left Click to Decline), but also have an option to auto reject or auto accept such prompts as well.
In Ranked, Auto Accept should probably be the default. Their opposition Generalists get auto nerfed by 50% or 75% (Dpending on your current quantity of Generalist Role players being 1 or none) across the board until replacment Flex players are found. Just to help balance things out a bit.
If a third player drops (as in one of the Base 5 in addition to the Generalist Roles being vacant), the Ranked match wipes just like it currently does.
We could roll a Tank and Off-Tank with additional Damage or Support. Or triple up on Dmage and Support with a single Tank.
It would encourage playersbto Queue for Flex, meaning the potential Tank player pool would also go up.
If it is sucessful at increasing the Tank player pool, 8v8 with a dedicated Main Tank and Off-Tank might become possible. With the remaining all three being able to pick from all Roles, but the limitation of one additional Hero selection per Role would be lifted for Damage and Support. Allowing Two additional Damage or Support.
So one additional Tank plus any two of Damage &/or Support.
If that goes well, revert to 6v6. All Roles are equalised like back in OW1, three of the six are Non-Flex/Generalist players tlimited to one of each Role. Dedicated Role players have first Preference/Choice of their Hero. Flex/Generalist Players pick from whats available after the Dedicated Role players pick. Availability may get reduced if another Flex or Dedicated Role player has Queued for the Role or Selected their Hero as a Flex Queue Generalist.
The limitation for Flex/Generalist Players is only one additional Hero per Role, if all player were Queued as their Chosen Role; Only then will 6v6 truely be back.

Tbh, seeing Sam and Raider is like seeing a younger brother and an older brother who shears the same viewpoints. It's just that one is more respectful and knows what to say, but also knows what goes one in the background, so his opinions are a bit different. On the other hand, one is more out there a bit disrespectful but isn't entirely wrong, except on a few things, but you can't really blame him since he can only see things from an outside perspective

GS Raider himself says it in the video, he just has too many ties within the community to always speak up, and maintain those ties. That's why Raider's videos are almost always the hard truth, with no sugar coating, and dunked in unfiltered toxicity, I love it.

He freely admits he was wrong to believe in the vague hope the meeting brought and not think more critically about what wasn't said during the meeting.
But by your assertion, that means Samito is lying and they were all told more than the bare minimum to bring a sense of hopefulness for the future of the game.
So, in essence, you are saying Samito is lying.
Was it to cover his own mistakes....which he basically only admitted to in part....which would kill all his credibility if it was the case, so for what purpose would he risk that?
NDA's have both a time limitation and disclosure allowance clause for when said information is already disclosed or the release date (Full Disclosure) has occured.
If disclosed information is publicly cancelled (like PvE for example), the NDA is generally rendered Null or at least partially Void. Allowing for broad disclosure of the information relevant to the publicly cancelled aspect.
Even under extrmely tight & bindng NDA's there are avenues of discussion around the subject of the NDA.
So, I fail to see why Samito would be lying in this instance.
Conversely, GSRaider has never been to one of these meetings. Much less have any idea what was or wasn't discussed at that particular meeting.
I frankly doubt GSRaider has seen, let alone actually understands, an NDA. Even if my intuition on both of those is wrong, he obviously hasn't seen the specific NDA Samito and the other's signed for that particular meeting.
Judging from his take on the Tweets about the Mavel NDA terms, it's clear he's not familiar with Blizzard's NDA's like Samito is.
For Samito to be saying there's much more nuance to the 2021-2022 Creator Meeting and Blizzard's NDA's, that gives credence to the assumption for it to allow for what is likely Fair & Balanced Criticism/Feedback/Review's by comparison to the Marvel NDA terms.
Samito offering his perspective and understanding is more trustworthy in regards to the creators GSRaider specifically calls out.
Samito only really says it's not for him to say when GSRaider brings up specific instances of beef between GSRaider & any given content creator mentioned.
So, he's not even defending these creators 100% of the time. Only when Samito has a more detailed account of any particular instance GSRaider brings up does Samito say something one way or another.
So, again. I am inclined to believe Samito as he's not being hyperbolic while speaking from a perspective of experiencing both sides of the Blizzard NDA fence.
Unless you have anything substantial to add, then I would say that you've based your entire point on emotions and semantics.
@@soulsurvivor8293 I agree with you, it's not my belief that Samito was lying, and I appreciate that he takes accountability in admitting to his mistakes, and doesn't work with Blizzard anymore for that reason.
The blame here lies with Blizzard not telling the truth to its creators. However in the end, GS Raider called out this stuff early, and he was right. The only one I've seen take accountability for that is Samito, It's just sad to see other creators affiliate themselves even deeper with Blizz after all of this has happened. When is enough going to be enough right?

The point of the video is about "Exposing the Shills" yet he doesn't fully understand the ins and outs of creators collaborating with OW, and is just a microphone for people who like to scream such terms, along with "sellout" and "fake". Its why Samito questioned some of his callouts. GS also tries to use some clips of creators trying to hype up what THEY WERE TOLD would be coming to the game as a gotcha for his skepticism, and feels vindicated just because he was correct, when in reality its not them "selling out", its the the devs not fulfilling what they promised, and those guys end up being attacked by people like GS, just because they agreed to be spokespeople for them.
5v5 defenders are just drinking the Kool-aid at this point. We have not had ONE good and sustainable meta in the 5v5 format. We have not had a single season where Tank players are not complaining about the burden of their role. The issue with 6v6 wasn't the burst heals, it was tanks never fucking dying and now in 5v5, guess what? Every change to buff tanks is to make them more unkillable so that way they can fill the role of 2 people and do everything. JUST MAKE IT 2 PEOPLE'S JOBS AGAIN! The big bad double shield meta is dead after the Orisa rework and if you think Sigma-Ramm is gonna take it's place you're brain is smooth as hell lil bro. Having 2 tanks benefits EVERYONE. Tank doesn't have to do everything anymore and the other roles now have a tank that's not constantly forced to hold the Frontline and thus can peel for the other roles. You know how Paladins makes 5v5 work? Because there is no role lock and they have mechanics in place that prevent nova healing just sustaining you through anything. The most common high rank comp they have is 2 tanks, 2 DPS, and 1 Support. 1 Tank handles the Frontline and takes space while the other hovers near the support to keep them safe until their is an opening for them to collapse on a target. Is it perfect? No. Is it a better system than Overwatch has? 1,000%. Then you have Marvel Rivals demonstrating the value of 6v6 on top of this just shining a glaring microscope on Overwatch that "this isn't working"

Regarding the big streamers: It’s a combination of not biting the hand that feeds them and also playing the game is how they make their money. When most of these creators stream “variety” games they have a lot less viewers. So they need this game to be successful but it is garbage

What we have going on right here is exactly how it should be. There SHOULD be people like GS Raider who speak out for the people and who speak on how it is the OW creators are being perceived. Make no mistake, Raider isn't the only one who feels the way he does. It's perfectly evident in his viewer count. It's no exaggeration to say he is basically a bullhorn for how a lot of players are feeling about Blizzard, Overwatch, and especially Overwatch creators right now. That's a voice that needs to be heard.
And so is yours, which is why I'm incredibly and pleasantly surprised to see you react to one of his videos and try to make as level-headed and unbiased a commentary about it as you possibly can.
These are the conversations that need to happen and they don't happen if one side shuts up.

Custa next to never streams, rarely puts out content, etc. Custa is the definition of riding someone's cock. Custa can put in next to no work or effort on content, doesn't have to stream and even when he does his viewership is extremely low and doesn't care because he's getting the paycheck from Blizzard. If Blizzard cuts him off he would actually have to work even if its streaming he would have to do it daily for 8hrs like a real job.

Overwatch is like Marvel. It was REALLY GOOD. I loved it so much and I loved everything they did. Then after Endgame and the 3 year OW *break* into OW2 was complete trash. My taste hasn't changed, the things I consumed did.

What is said at around 7:40 100.000.000% exactly the same as a ow streamer I was following for years and me. Constantly had discussions about the game and the streamer was coping so hard it really hurt. It hurt seeing the game becoming worse over time, it hurt seeing the streamer having less views, less subs and also having less fun and stopped streaming fulltime. I loved the game, I loved the stream, I loved this person. All gone.

I respect all of them and the time they've put into the game and helping its growth with their content (except sypher pk during most if not all of OW2)
but there's a huge disconnect there for me, and it makes it increasingly harder to believe these guys are "one of us" or that they truly have unfiltered opinions or are genuinely looking out for the players when part of them is doing their best not to hurt any feelings or stay in the creator program.

I find him and his in-game community (with the exception of eskay) to be disingenuous and pandering for the dollars they get from an absolutely f’d company. To go deeper, blizzard hasn’t been blizzard since they merged with acti, and done nothing but farm them $ themselves for the past 10-15 years with 0 accountability, 0 remorse, and 0 game-oriented/player-oriented business philosophy. They’re for the money and they’re willing to kill every game they touch (ow2, d4, WoW, etc.) to get it.

The thing is, flats is a strange case. He isn't a "shill" however I have lost count of the amount of "we are so back" moments it gets very tiring. He did it again this season "we are so back" but then it became "well, tank is better I guess but the same problem that makes it bad are still there". He is in the middle, a discussion is what he wants. The fact is the 5v5ers and 6v6ers don't discuss, they just shut each other down. I will say the 6v6ers bring valid points when a discussion is had and 5v5ers usually just point to "oh double shield" or "oh queue times" , which both were very fixable and stem from: Sustain abilities and AOE healing so Orisa, Sigma, Bap, Brig. And the tank roster on a whole not as fun as other roles and the meta being a boring one for people who didn't play the meta tanks (Orisa and Sigma, oh same names brought up again). Oh, and we can't forget it being left in the dust for 2 years which just invalidates any attempt to compare OW1 & OW2 because if we had 2 years of Mauga meta (which could be comparable) I can guarantee everyone and their dog is crying for 6v6 back. Either they bring them points or say "it doesn't affect me so idc", which is so dumb because when it did affect you in OW1 (queue times) you were crying (while tanks were suffering too) but now it is only tanks suffering it just is "not your problem".

Listen as someone who loves both Sam and Flats, them being my favorite 2 OW content creators. We all know Flats tries to play things safe and often doesn't say what he really feels and we know why. I dont blame Flats, I understand and Im cool with him being the voice of reason. We need that, but we also need guys like Sam and GS who arent afraid to call Blizzard and other creators out on their bs.
I like Flats but he definitely is one of the people who are on a very thin line between honest and shill.
