- The Finale!! It's been 3 years since she's been on the road. The owner took her to another shop to be refinished and the shop had her for 2 years. The owner said that's long enough and brought her home. The job was bad and the owner had to regroup so she sat another year. I've had her since October and now she's finished. Thanks to everyone for watching this series.
Thanks! Your compliments are really appreciated and I can't wait to see the owner enjoying the 88 next spring either!
Beautiful job, Ceedell...
Thanks for doing these videos and I'm looking forward to the next series!
Thanks! and thanks for watching. I've got 2 projects to get back to, the '55 Chevy fiberglass front end and a 1938 Plymouth street rod.
Thanks Doug! You're very kind my friend. Thanks for the compliments and for watching, and yes it's like saying good bye to a friend.
Talk about a smooth ride. She could cruise at 80 and you were as comfortable as sitting on your sofa. On mine the horn was in the rim of the steering wheel.
That engine compartment is so clean, very nice.
That car turned out really nice, you did a great job on it.
one hell of a video resume , great series..

Mine was white with a navy blue landau, all white interior. I like your choice of wheels. Mine was stock caps, always made it look heavy.
Thanks Kenny, yeah it does work very good for that.

1968 Full size Olds, rare sight, love the look.
Molding and trim are even more rare, it's a nice car.
Thanks!
Awesome finale to a perfection project !! 100% all the way, I hate to see this series end, like saying goodbye to a good friend.....
Sweet result, I'm going to miss this beautiful car, you are a master restorer and a dedicated craftsman my friend. You leave no detail untouched, and the result is absolutely stunning !
Thanks for the work you did to capture this history. Awesome video work sir !!
Love those 67 and 68 fast back Delta 88s
Gorgeous car.
+Josh Nixon Thanks, the owners have really enjoyed it.
Thanks! The owner was very happy
Absolutely gorgeous job. The first car I remember us having as a kid was a 'brown 68 Delta 88 2-door. This series brought back memories. I did notice on the passenger side name plate it appeared to be replaced incorrectly, as it reads "88 Delta," instead of Delta 88, as on the driver's side.
Thanks! I'm surprized I didn't run into those! lol
Tray, I'm keeping busy with lots of non cool jobs! lol brake jobs, differential rebuild, oil/service, etc. I have the '38 Plymouth in the shop and hope to be back on it soon. I've been working on a '63 Olds F-85 convert rotisserie restoration at another shop...sorry no vids.
Thanks for askin' Wendell
she'll look very nice under the christmas tree!
My family's always been Olds fans, I love the fastback lines
I know this video has some miles but I’m an Olds nut (owned several) and that’s why I’m here but man thanks for that great 50’s music at end wasn’t expecting it made my day my mom and was from the 50’s and they passed that love for the 50’s to my brother and me. What a special time
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks John, I set my rates where I'm happy...:)
looks great...
haven't seen many of these ever!
Me either, had to make some of the trim clips because they're so hard to find.
Thanks Dave, she's back with he owner now.
Cool. lookin good
Very Nice!!!Good series can`t wait until the one....
Awesome.... just awesome!
One again you did a first class job outstanding
Thanks, the owners were very happy
Thanks! This one is loaded, it's the Delta 88 Holiday model.
we've had a 71 olds 98 , that thing was a tank, with the 455 motor, 70 olds cutlass supreme coupe with the 455, still have it, had two 71 olds cutlass supreme convertibles at one time, i had one in high school till it got wrecked and my little brother has his till this day, it was a 750 dollar project car he restored in highschool, he's 28 now, im 36
I hope you were more expensive than the other guy, because that's an awesome job.
Beautiful! It's actually a '68 Olds Delta 88 Custom.
That car isn't just handsome, it's downright sexy. I'm glad to see you left the original guages and added the rpm.
Thanks
it came out looking sweet, i just bought a 68' oldsmobile delta 88, and i was hoping if you can give me some pointers on fixing it
beautiful!! i guess the owners would be happy...#53
Thanks! there was alot of ugly to fix! lol
G'day,I own one of these cars,1968 oldsmobile Delta 88,2-door hard top, 455,pale met blue body, silver roof, manual windows, pale blue interior(as new)still has plastic mat on rear carpet, original paint,60,000 miles.Incredibly smooth quiet drive and is my pride and joy! Your series of videos are excellent you're obviously very experienced in what you do,love the red paint the car looks very nice in that colour and shows off her 'curves' in the daylight!.I have never seen another '68 Olds Delta 88 here in Australia are there many around in the USA?,love the videos keep up the top class work,it's a pleasure to watch someone who puts so much effort and pride into their work,
Thank you for the kind words. Your Olds sounds like a very nice car. I really like the '65-'68 fastbacks. There aren't that many Oldsmobiles at least in comparison to Chevrolets.
laverdafan That's one Rare Car, isn't it ? Well, you certainly don't see many. Have you seen that one on 'My Custom Car' (with Dennis Gage. Seas 16. Epis.20, 'GM personal Luxury cars') ?
I Think he said it was a '68 Delta 88 Custom Sport. ???- (tho not 100%)
Anyways, it's REALLY nice ! I noticed your comment and thought you might Enjoy -if you haven't Already seen it... = )
MungoidHen Thanks, I'll check it out. Yes this serier Olds is rare and hard to find parts. The owners of this one really enjoy it.
MungoidHen many thanks just checked out 'my custom car' it's a '67 model delta 88 ver similar to a '68 delta 88,prolly even rarer thankyou for pointing out the road test
Oh okay then. No problem and just good you enjoyed that even if it was a 67 and not a 68... Very nice condition though isn't it ?
Hey, why don't you upload a clip of your Olds maybe ??? = )
looks great----no cuts on your shins? lol--- those pipes are out there
There's a guy in Missoula Montana who has lots of Olds parts. I will have to look up his name for you. I also have a 55 Olds super Holiday 88, and he had the horn assembly and the Left front quarter panel. My son crashed it. You might want to check with The Oldsmobile Club of America, they are helpful.
like it needs work , interior and exterior, it runs and everything is complete and no rust, i just wanted to know if it could take in hydraulics or airbags, and where can i find parts to replace parts if needed?
can i take her home now....
I drive my cars alot and don't like the ride quality with hydraulics or airbags. I'd rather cut the coil springs to lower the car but you can't raise it so you have what you have. I use NAPA for most parts and Olds suppliers like Fusick.
North Central Ohio
Why'd you put Armor-all on the seats ? Owner wanted the slip sliding away effect ?
What kind of help do you want?
I'd say yes but someone else already picked her up!!! lol
Ceedell where you been man? What's going on with your projects?
Sure if I can, pointers about what?
103k
HoHoHo!
