- Introducing one of the neatest examples of a Toyota Corolla RXI newspec, owned by Byron. For a car from the year 2000 it has only 94000km on the clock! The condition of the car clearly proves how immaculate it is.
These models are powered by the high revving 4AGE 20v motor from factory. The Corolla RXI is a sought after car in South Africa, especially Cape Town, with a clean one reaching prices into the 100K and above range. This one however is one of the few unicorns.

Toyota RXI Twimcap 20v it my favoured car.
ive owned 20vs. ive listened to "know it alls " who say go for dual exhaust 57mm to 63mm or vice versa. or worse full 63. ive paid the price for kak advice. This man got it right, and his cars moves well from what i see. 57mm if you want an everyday decent performing non guzzling 20v... Your lambda sensor will thank you.
Dual exhaust on a 20v is just wrong:( shame on those guys who gave you such advice bro.
And yeah the exhaust sound is so pure on this car. I love how it growls even though it has a closed plenum box for the itb sound.

Brother from thailand the the toyota scene is just as big in south africa as on your side of the world. AE111 in South Africa was first called the Corolla RSI 20v, then the 2nd evolution model was called the Corolla RXI 20v. It's a unique car in its styling, as the AE111 20v 4age in Japan was named the Corolla GT, but its styling was not that attractive. I still like the South african manufactured 20v corollas compared to the Japanese two door version, Corolla Levin BZR 20v.

Its a 1.6 correct bro. Some mistake the TWINCAM 20v on the tappet cover for 2.0L.
