  • In this group oral history interview from June 5, 2010, artists Larry Bell, Ron Miyashiro, Joe Goode and Jerry McMillan discuss their diverse backgrounds, beginnings, and works including their collaboration on the War Babies exhibition at the Huysman Gallery in Los Angeles, May 29 to June 17, 1961.
The Getty Research Institute (GRI) hosted events and conducted oral histories inspired by the "Modern Art in Los Angeles" theme beginning in 2003. Much of the GRI's Modern Art in Los Angeles activities were incorporated into the Getty's larger initiative, "Pacific Standard Time: Art in L.A.," which focused on postwar art (1945-1980) in Los Angeles.
