  • What is a palliative approach? How might it change the care offered to residents in residential aged care facilities?
A palliative approach is not limited to the last days or weeks of a residents life. The primary goal of a palliative approach is to improve the resident's level of comfort and function and to address their psychological, spiritual and social needs. Providing active treatment for the resident's condition may still be important.
