When I was young I went to boarding school in Australia. My parents lived in Peru, I used to fly to see them 4 times a year on holidays through NZ to Chile. One of the common flight paths was across the edges of Antarctica.

I grew up in a hs that probably doesn't believe flat earth, but it wouldn't surprise me if any of my teachers bought into flat earth stuff.
I had one teacher literally explain to us the 10 feet closer or 10 feet further away from the sun thing as if it was fact.

just for the record, the Nasa photo of the earth were "photoshops" but they weren't doctered from a flat earth. They just made it look prettier because the raw images from space look pretty lame compared to sci-fi depictions of planets.

The reason you can see an oil rig much further away is because it's tall, very tall, you don't see its feets or the surface of the water though because it's hidden behind the horizon, why would all the navy of the world bother building very tall towers on their ship, there is no obstacles on the sea, except the horizon of course
His point on the airplane flights is actually not that dumb, but it's not because the earth is flat, it's because the map is flat, because when you draw a straight line on a globe, and you try to recreate every point of that line on the common map of the earth, it creates a curved line instead of a straight one

@blue the clouds in the 1978 vs 2017 are different, The bottom left has clouds in 2017 while the 1978 does not, and the cloud structure they are referring to that is the same, is a affect of the AIR STREAMs that do not change.

If gravity exists why does smoke rise
Point being if something is lighter than air it will rise. If heavier than air it will fall. No gravity needed just good old DENSITY
So close, but yet so far. You are forgetting, as all flat earthers seem to do, that air has mass too, which means the gravity is pulling down on the air. As the air displaced by the hot air and smoke is heavier than the hot air and smoke, buoyancy pushes the smoke up. Just because you can't see the air, doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
