  • Hiya Merlings! Here I have a video for my Triton Tier Patrons of how I put my silicone flukes together with a monofin inside!
    Materials:
2 halves of the desired fluke, cast in Dragonskin Silicone
1 Finis Shooter monofin, with fabric epoxy glued to it's blade
A few hundred grams of more Dragonskin Fast to use as glue
Naptha for cleaning and priming the silicone
    About a hundred T-Pins
    about 20 wooden stir sticks
about 20 paper cups for measuring
a digital scale also for measuring

Want one of these for seam blending. That is always my downfall with tails. xD

You made a great fin, I'm a big fan. What kind of glue do you use to make the fin sandwich? Maybe silicone?

How long does it take for the molds and the silicone to dry?

B_Y0NCE it depends a lot on certain variables. A large plaster mold can take days to weeks to fully dry. I cast my flukes with Dragonskin 30 which has a 7 hour cure time before I can peel it out of the mold.
