How to Repair Drywall - Large Hole

Mesh self-adhesive tape
Joint Compound
Sandpaper
Texture Paint

No sanding. Use a wet cloth to wipe out the “mud” when it’s almost dry. Learned from a professional painter. It makes this process SO much easier and cleaner.

I have that same hole in my garage ceiling that I've been looking at for a few years. Now I think I can do a reasonable job of repairing it - the mesh tape is going to be the magic for me. Thanks.
