Great vid mate, I am not sure I had to watch you eat the garlic butter cray to know it was absolutely delicious, but once again the production & the cook up first rate. Thanks for sharing, for us mere mortals having an eerie feeling that a shark was watching our every move would have been the end of the video. 3 crays a kingy and a beast of a kahawhai Ollie produces the goods once more. I did have a chuckle that you have more knives to fillet a fish than the Roman army but in the kitchen you have one trusty blade that does the lot, no doubt it’s sharp mate but I am happy to buy you a set for the kitchen, I do enjoy your cook ups. I am getting lots of “come ski New Zealand” emails and they aren’t talking about water skiing, yet every month we get great content, I ask all of you who read this to subscribe and support the channel so we get more, hahaha so I get more, it’s a win win. Haha cheers mate. I made that rusty knife, it wasn’t rusty until my house mate put it through the dishwasher and stripped it bare again (carbon steel). Great knife although.

Great content, awesome job bro. Watching from Ireland and waiting for your content is a bit of an addiction. Like many others Im inspired to take up the sport. Irelands coastline doesnt reward as much as home and the cold and mostly murky waters can be very fickle fish wise. But just being in amongst it half the fun. Whether your in a boat on a kayak or going from the shore its ......all good.

Ollie mate, love your vid's. Been following for a few years now from Europe, and was home this year and really feel i need to get into the spearo world. Can you demo how you grab the crays? Do you go under the horns, straight at them etc.
The tricks of attacking fish is interesting. Also, can you demo what you are doing with the line? Your line management would be useful. Are you winding it around your forearm etc?

Hey mate, everyone has their own tactics for crays and it depends on the situation and where they are eg crack, cave etc. I go both from under and above and often use other hand to distract the cray then go for grab on horns. Sorry I don't teach!

Hey Ollie, I have a question about launching the boat on missions in the wild haha. What do you look for to know you are good driving onto a beach for a beach launch? I've got a little F14 Frewza so similar sort of situation to your senator for launching. Thanks heaps. Cheers

Hey mate I do a lot of reading online, you would be surprised at how much info is on there just do a quick google and you will find info from others at beaches etc. Otherwise you can always ask in facebook groups etc before planning a mission.

Yep quite a few but only a handful of attacks in recorded history. They have plenty of food not to worry about us generally
