Honda cbr400rr vs Honda cbr250rr
small-displacement motorbikes are fantastic machines. They all pack a lot more performance than their size and looks would lead you to believe.
both CBR's have very amenable riding position, with a short reach to the bars, low seat height, and pretty good legroom. The cbr250rr still has enough torque to pull quickly through the gearing, and is easily a match for any modern 300cc machine. The cbr400rr is half way between a modern 300 and a 600 both bikes are great machines.

I've just returned to riding again and I'm glad I kept my CBR400RR tucked away in the garage, spent most of June swapping out some 30 odd components and repainted the sub frame and rear wheel, the new Max Torque Can sounds awesome both with the baffle in and out. One of the things I've noticed is how much more confidence inspiring the new Michelin tyres are and I think I have set up the suspension better than before when I rode it 20 years ago. This is truly a head turner with plenty of power for the Cornish twisty's and I'm so pleased with all the work I have completed on it and the resulting bike which is fast becoming very collectable here in the UK. Just wish I could share with you some photo's as it looks better than it did when I bought it in 1994, I ran this bike in Cyprus and had it flown back to the UK on a Hercules transporter, I used it for about 5 more years until our children came along and now one of my boys has a 125cc of his own so I thought why not. This summer is fast becoming very special and I know I am one lucky guy.
Thanks for commenting. That's a nice story have fun riding with your son
Awesome vid. I loved my old cbr400. Worst decision I ever made selling it. And yes, the whirl was incredible 😂
Miss mine too. Had a 1992 in the grey & black. Loved it. Best sound ever
@Coolio157 they are awesome
I had a FZR250. Mental rev limit 18 or 19k. I used to love taking off from the traffic lights on it and screaming it.
Yeah nothing like a little screamer
250rr sounds like an F1 car... amazing sound
Those gear driven cams tho
That whirling sound.....
Like wwwvvvvvvv
From the UK
We all envy your roads!!!
All year round riding weather too
love my nc23, when you ride with liter bikes you need to keep in the upper rev range.
Prefer ringing the neck on the 250
There is something about hearing it scream
I really want cbr250 but I live in Europe and these are very rare here...
Look at importing one. Shipping isn't that expensive. You might be able to find a shop that will import one for you. I'm looking at doing this. There are lots of bikes you can't get in Australia
@@BrettJoy I guess that's what I'll have to do to make my dream come true 😅. One day I'm sure I'll have it, thanks

Hello. I have a cbr250r mc17 for sale 😊
whats that tank pad on the 400 looks nice
Sorry mate, they was on the bike when I got it
what wud u say about the size and tyre sizes differences between both bikes
The 400 is only slightly bigger wider
@@BrettJoy what about the tyre sizes and speed
The 250 has slightly smaller tyres (not as much profile on the road) top speed there about the 200kpm ish but obviously the the 400 get there quicker and easier
@@BrettJoy I recently had thoughts on downing a Panigale V2 kit on my Nc23 . Any suggestions for a better result. ?
@@lycan_system8427 I see a fzr400 with a cbr1000rr engine in it with a turbo kit that would be pretty mental. Personally I would stick with the light 400 engine maybe bore it out to a 444cc a good tune an carbon wheels 👌
What year is that 400?
1990 😎 31 year old 🤘🏻
@@BrettJoy Holy cow its only 3 years older than me. It sounds and runs like a charm. Awesome bike!
Truly is one of the best bikes 😎
good job
Thanks mate
where is this road
Gidgegannup one of the best roads close to Perth
is the 400 for sale yet? 🤣
Well it's my favourite so would have to be a big number to steal it
@@BrettJoy how much $ are we talking?
10k and I'd think about it 🤔
@@BrettJoy ooooo tempting
Both these bikes are amazing, I have them both. Check out my vids! czcams.com/video/-YIxv6Nbn1E/video.html
