      I have a Canadian 2.00 sheet of bills. It's a large one from 1987.
      I would like some help in trying to sell it. I have never sold anything before. I took it out of its package only once to take pictures.
      Could you please help me? As I am not computer savvy.
      Thank You

    Another very helpful video Daniel. And timely for me because I just bought one to complete my 1909 - 2009 set. I’m amazed that you find the time to record a video nearly every day. I think I speak for everyone when I say these are extremely helpful and interesting even if you don’t happen to collect the type of coin you’re discussing. All my best.

    My dad bought a roll of 1909 S VDB cents at Marshall Fields in Chicago when he was discharged from the Marine Corps in 1953. They were in grades from VF to AU and the price was $50 (plus sales tax). Back when coins were sold in the toy department.

    i have a fake, before i watched this video, i noticed it had a very different appearance in general, from my other vintage pennies but the bvd & mint mark are just exactly how you point out as forgeries. I wonder what my dad paid for it. He has some other obviously fake coins, now im wondering about the silver.

    BIG Difference between real wear and fake wear. Need to check both sides, need to see if there is unusual wear like similar dents , being put in a tumbler!! We wise crooks can be found everywhere.

    Late 70's for Christmas my dumb dad gave me the best gift of all: a true 1909 S VDB from a reputable dealer. It was years later as a young adult that I actually looked at the damn thing and saw that the 's' was mashed over a very obvious P underneath. You think you'd look for such a thing in this particular coin

    • @CoinHELPu
      @CoinHELPu  Před rokem

      All die pairs are known, there's no such S over P, the coin is either fake or the mint mark is damaged.

    I purchased a 09 S VDB on Ebay last year. Ungraded. When I got the coin I immediately sent it to ANACS for authentication. Came back as counterfeit. Forger added the S.
    The seller gave me a hard time about the return. I paid $1,700, it looked good and seller purported this was RED! I fell for his bag if wind. Turns out he got this coin on an online auction for $1,170 I purchased for $1,700.
    I got my money-back but it took about 8 business days.

    What are the real chances of finding a 1909 VDB s cent in a box 📦 from the bank. For sure if you find one in a box from the bank IT IS REAL. The best thing about searching boxes is it is much better than playing the Lotto.

    • @CoinHELPu
      @CoinHELPu  Před 5 lety +1

      Very slim but doesn't mean it is real. Anyone can place a fake in circulation an it end up in a bank roll. You just need to know the difference.

    • @rf-bh3fh
      @rf-bh3fh Před 5 lety +1

      CoinHELPu Agree however the why is so much more important than the what. Take note to make a fake takes a lot of effort time and money. If there is no profit there is no reason. Yes I need to know the difference. Yes others want to know how to tell. I am just a self taught novice, you make it your occupation. I learn from you because I seek more knowledge. Finding a rare coin in bank boxes are far more likely to be real.

      @CoinHELPu  Před 5 lety

      @@rf-bh3fh A bank box is coins made up from coins people took to the bank so chances of finding a real 1909 S VBD are not going to be better. Bank boxes are not just sitting at the bank for decades. You're more likely to find and authentic 1969 S DDO than an 1909 S VDB.
